Title: Excellent sound and quiet vinyl
Review: This album sounds absolutely great on my high-end system! The mixing/remastering is top notch and the pressing is on almost perfectly quiet vinyl. On top of that, the excellent music performed by these great and talented artists is something to behold.I have been severely disappointed in the past by remastered albums that sound terrible because of the mixing, pressing or both. This one is fantastic all the way around!

Title: Absolutely essential listening
Review: Not only does this bring together old-time players like Mother Maybelle Carter and Earl Scruggs with the “hippies” of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, but it also captures some amazing performances. Plus, they let the tape roll between takes, so you get some wonderful banter. If you like country music – especially old-time country and bluegrass – you really need to own this. The vinyl version is great. There’s just something cool about holding the three-record set in your hands. It’s substantial and very well put together.

Title: Classic Americana
Review: This may be the best album I’ve ever owned! The 180 gram pressing is very good on my high-end table (Transcriptor table with a Schick arm and Denon DL103 cartridge, DIY phono preamp, good triode amp). This is classic Americana at its best. I love that they let the tape run between takes, so you get to hear the recording studio banter between some famous musicians.
