Title: Works fine, but poor packaging
Review: Bought this as portable storage with a Sabrent case. Arrived packed in an antistatic bag inside a flimsy, small bubble envelope – all inside the Amazon plastic pouch. I was concerned about the condition of the drive and the knocks it might have taken during travel. The drive had some scratches, but after installing, partitioning and formatting it runs fine. Looks like a new disk, with only 2 prior power ons. Now let’s see how long it lasts!

Title: Very Happy Customer
Review: I purchased this for my Dell latitude e6230 and I must say after installing, my laptop is like brand new. It has the storage capacity as it states and the hard drive is very quiet which is a plus. The install by the way very easy. The drive is a blank drive and does not come with windows or anything so you need to have windows available for your laptop. This was definitely a great buy and very recommendable.

Title: 4 stars because packaging was not very protective
Review: FIRST – please go back up your documents, videos, and pictures on an external hard drive right now. I have a Seagate eternal drive that I like.My favorite laptop (I have an old behemoth, and a sweet touch screen – my favorite) hit the floor when my giant German Shepherd puppy knocked it off the table. Of course, something went very bad with the hard drive, I got the dreaded blue screen, and the hard drive was making clicking noises. Fortunately most of my pictures and videos had already been backed up, but I lost the most recent, treasured pictures and parts of a book I’m writing.I ordered this hard drive as a replacement for the damaged one. It was quoted as being open box, but was still inside a sealed protective computer parts sleeve (thin anti-static plastic). Unfortunately, that was placed into a lightly padded envelope, inside a thin amazon plastic envelope. It was not marked as fragile, as it should have been, and the delivery person tossed it up on the doormat (no fault to the delivery person as this was not marked as a fragile item). It’s a miracle that the drive wasn’t damaged, and is now working beautifully in my favorite laptop. Packaging was a disaster taht fortunately didn’t impact the new hard drive, but could have.
