Customers say
Customers praise the amplifier’s amazing power output, little to no distortion at high volumes, and better performance than Kenwood amps. They appreciate its sleek design, build quality, and value for money, with one customer noting the higher quality wiring terminals. The amplifier runs hot, and opinions about its size are mixed, with some finding it large while others consider it too big for mounting.

Title: Solid performance, awesome budget amplifier!
Review: DB 45 is an awesome budget amp! Replaced a couple Boss amps that I didn’t do my research on first (amplifier benchmarking) and I spent less money on this and then I did for the other two. Rocksolid amplifier. It does warm up pretty quick when you’re pushing it but it did not get hot. Very happy with the purchase. Only problem I have is that when using the low pass option for a sub there is no sub sonic filter. At least not adjustable, I was playing 19 hz tone to my sub and it was flopping pretty good with no audible sound. Was hoping it would have sub sonic filter set for either 15 Hz or 25 as an option.Update 8/9/2019:I’ve had this amplifier now for around 10 months now and it’s still going strong. Have it hooked up through a pair of 50amp AC to DC power supplies in my garage powering 2x 400w RMS Floor Speakers and a 425w RMS Polk Audio 15″ Sub. It definitely pushes out the rated power (as dyno benchmarks have also confirmed they hit around the rated CEA RMS power as stated). Extremely loud and clear music (my neighbors can affirm this too… ). I have a couple other car amplifier / custom sub installs in my house where I still have poorly rated amps and I’m looking forward to purchasing more Rockville products to replace those amplifiers very soon. They will not disappoint!

Title: Rockville 3200 watt amp
Review: I had this amp installed in my 2014 Ford F-150. I paired it with 4 Cerwin Vega 6″ x 8″ 450 watt door speakers. I only have the amp at half gain. I also have 2 Rockville 1200-watt subs in the back on the floorboard.I have a nice JVC Double Din touch screen head unit with DVD & CD player built in. When paired with Bluetooth, and I listen to Thunder Kiss 65 by White Zombie, I can only turn the volume up to about 27. After listening to 1 song at this volume, your ears are hurting. But it is really clear. Overall, I have a very nice system in my Truck now. Very Happy with it. NOTE: If I turned the gain all the way up, it would probably blow my door speakers clean out of socket, LOL.

Title: Bang for buck!!!!
Review: Update: 9-1-19Amp gets pretty hot. Sending it clean signal without clipping. Gains are just below halfway mark. I think mines has a defect and I contacted customer care so I’m waiting on their responseWas very skeptical on getting this amp but after I saw the dyno test from budget gem or budget bust on YouTube with numbers a little over rated numbers I had to get it.My birth sheet says 150×4 @ 4ohms and 217×4@ 2ohmsI’ve notice the 4 channel I received the filters said hpf/fp/lp-bpf and I thought I didn’t see this on any of their db45 amps online so I called them and the guy told me that it’s their newer version which includes a bandpass filter.Bandpass filter will let you fine tune your speakers by allowing you to set your high pass filter to your lowest hz you want your speaker to receive and use the lowpass filter to set the highest hz you want it to receive.Example: if you choose lowpass/bandpass and set the high pass knob (labeled subsonic) to 80hz and set the lowpass to 2k your speaker will only receive from 80hz to 2k.It does get pretty warm to almost hotMy gains are a smudge over half way

Title: Only good for mids/highs not subs
Review: This amp sounded good on my doors but when I decided to sell my amp that my subs were on I put the door speakers back on the head unit and put the subs on the amp. Could not bridge or it would go into protect and wouldn’t come out so I put each voice coil to its own channel and it plays good but if I turn it up past 10 and play it for a few seconds it goes into protect and won’t come out until I turn the truck off and back on and its not the wiring, any way I wire it it does this. However on door speakers or mids/highs it does perfect and sounds great would recommend for that only not subs

Title: Kept going into protection
Review: Let me start by saying I have been installing car stereo equipment since I was in fifth grade and I am now 41. I sold car stereo equipment out of my house as a kid because I was able to get it wholesale and installed it for free with purchase. Everything about this installation was correct. I had this powering 4 midranges and 4 bullet tweeters at 2ohms. The sound quality was good. The only problem was it began cutting off and going into protection on my first cruise on high and low volume so I gave it a few day trial and it continued to be an issue. I uninstalled the db45 and sent it back and replaced it with the Rockville krypton F2 amplifier. The krypton is hooked up to the same wires and zero issues. I think they just didn’t get the db series amps right. I also have the krypton M5 powering 4 12s with no issues. From my experience the krypton amps are reliable, neither of them have ever went into protection. If you are going to go with Rockville I would recommend their krypton line of amplifiers. They seem to have gotten those ones right.
