Title: Tall corner light — good coverage, cheap remote
Review: I wanted to try a corner LED light to add some mood to my home office. This is a basic one — no wifi, no HomeKit, no app. I like the solid white minimalist type look.Putting it together is ok — the plastic pieces that join the vertical segments are not consistent — some are loose hence easy to push in, some are tight and took some work. The LED strip is protected by a nice soft plastic cover and it snaps gently into the groves of the vertical piece. Somehow the strip is about 1.5 inches too long — I push it down a bit and it finds enough space along the vertical to stay put.I have seen this sort of remote with some other LED lamps that I have — it has lots of, in theory, programmability — to have custom settings. But with a simple lamp like this all I really want is solid color. The effects are fun to play with but I do not really see them being used regularly. The buttons on the remote are just dome switches — some require harder presses to activate.Overall – looks good. Not a lot of control options.
