Customers say
Customers find the Kindle Fire HD case fits well and provides good protection, while also appreciating its nice appearance and color. However, the durability and material quality receive mixed feedback – while some praise the quality materials, others report it falling apart within six months and being made of cheap cardboard. Additionally, the case is difficult to use, with one customer mentioning issues with touch screen commands.

Title: A Well-designed Item
Review: When I first got my Kindle Fire 10.5, I went to Walmart and bought a generic leather cover for it. Not a good idea. The leather loops on the corners kept pressing the buttons on top of the Kindle and the device itself kept slipping free of the loops and falling free. This Smart Cover, however, is just that. The tablet slips into an open-faced pocket that allows screen access while making buttons available, but tight enough to keep the Kindle from sliding out. Plus, it’s smaller than my previous cover, only slightly larger than the Kindle itself, and lighter besides. Also, though it took me a second to figure out, the built-in stand is much more secure and less likely to slip out of the groove and fall, which makes it much more convenient to use and more dependable besides. Nicely made.

Title: It Basically Fits, But Not Perfectly.
Review: It does work with the older Fire Tablet just as it says. My only issue is that no matter how hard I tried, the “frame” around the tablet screen is extremely crooked/bent or something. Also, the stand on the back technically works, but be careful until you break it in because it may fall under the weight of the older tablets.

Title: Flimsy Construction
Review: It’s basically pressed cardboard. If you fold the cover back where it’s touching the back of the tablet, it’s so thin that it activate is the auto-off feature. It’s a real nuisance when you’re trying to hold the unit with one hand. It shuts down and you have to restart or re-enter your passcode. Shop elsewhere.

Title: The fire cover for my Kindle.
Review: I loved the color and the way the flap inserts into the back of the cover. It keeps the kindle in place while I’m reading.

Title: quirky design
Review: it provides good protection, but is not well designed–the cutaways on top aren’t well aligned, which blocks the charging port and the front (which faces the screen) is too wide, which compromises the use of icons at the edges of the kindle.

Title: Perfect Fit for Kindle
Review: Fits 5th Generation Kindle 10″ tablet perfectly including a back camera hole. No magnetic closing or holding strip but does what is most important, protect my old tablet.
