Title: Great Value, Great Product
Review: This is a great device if your looking to declutter the garage you’ve been neglecting. Instructions were easy to follow. It says you need 2 people to do it but honestly I did it by myself and I am mediocrely handy. I don’t have a doubt that this product with hold 600 lbs like it says. I used the longest form of it and able to stack two 48 qt tots up there and still have room. It does not feel fake or cheap by any means. All parts are made of metal.

Title: Strong, easy to install, holds a lot, spare parts
Review: I can be a pretty ruthless product reviewer but these are real good. They are strong, well made, easy to install and hold a lot of stuff. I bought two and then bought a 3rd a year later. I wish I had done them all at once because once you start installing them it’s easy to keep going. Because they hang they are forgiving in terms of where the mounts go, a few of mine had to be offset slightly because of garage door opener and it’s no problem. They also include some extra hardware which saved me. The last one I installed I jumped up and hung on, that’s my usual test for mounting things since I weight 200lbs. The mount came out of the wall on one side because I missed the stud, but the whole unit didn’t come down. So there is redundancy aka it’s very safe. I did bend one mount but they provided extras so it was no problem. I would recommend getting a laser square and a good (better than mine) stud finder. Then also just buy enough to cover your ceiling and knock it all out in one day. I’ll try to remember to take a picture and post it.

Title: Best on Amazon!
Review: These are the only ones to buy folks. I tried the cheaper ones that were 45×45 for corner of garage and junk. 100%, this is the ones to get.

Title: Installation: Start with one of the vertical supports bolted to a stud or it will jiggle
Review: This was installed above the garage door. The ceiling joists run across the width of the shelf (not down the length) so it was straighforward to install. However, the vertical supports for the storage rack are flimsy enough that at least one of the verticals needs to be bolted against a wall or the shelf will wobble significantly when you load it, because the vertical supports will flex. This shelf is not super heavy duty, but it looks adequate for light loads up to 600 pounds as rated.I bought the 3 x 8 shelf and, to help with spacing the verticals, I got a 3, 4, and an 8 foot length of angle iron from the hardware store (to be returned now that the installation is done). The dimensions in the instructions are inaccurate. It would be extremely helpful if the manufacturer listed the center to center screw hole spacing from one ceiling bracket to the other parallel ceiling bracket. To calculate the screw hole spacing to lay out the holes in your ceiling, you are on your own. There is no information in the installation manual, and it is best for you to calculate the spacing yourself, because your shelf may be different than mine. The hardware is metric. M8, 13mm socket, 5mm hex wrench. Use your own tools. An electric screw gun or drill is almost essential. The toolss included in the box are barely adequate. Hope it goes easy.

Title: Solid Product, but Install Was a Challenge Solo
Review: Installed the 3×8 Fleximount above my garage—definitely a solid and secure system once it’s up, but getting there was a bit of a struggle doing it solo. Finding the studs was the hardest part, and keeping everything level took a lot of double-checking. If you’re doing this yourself, take your time with measurements and prep—those steps matter more than you think. One heads-up: I mounted this over my garage door and didn’t realize the edge of the door would hit the bottom of the Fleximount platform, even at the lowest height setting. That was frustrating and took some rework.Took me about 4-5 hours start to finish. Looking back, I’d gladly pay extra to have it professionally installed, but I’ll admit—it was satisfying to get it done myself. Overall, it’s a great product and feels very sturdy. Just plan ahead.

Title: Great solid product! Not super quick and easy to install so make sure all dimensions will work
Review: This rack is very solid and nice.I had to install mine with one side in the loadbearing joist/wall and the other side mounted into the ceiling of my garage. Was a little tricky finding a perfect fit, but it worked out after all. It took some time to get all worked out for my layout with my ceiling in my garage with a couple of extra 2x4s needed to make it work with the rack frame dimensions, but once it was all situated, feels super solid…this is well manufactured, all hardware ended up fitting together…only sometimes a little extra adjusting/forcing a piece or two into place, such as screw threads starting. You may need to set a screw on an angle to start, and once it gets going in, the pieces basically force each other into place. There were times I wasn’t sure a screw would go or not, but you’ve got to try and torque at a small angle to start some.I would definitely buy another one. I may have room for a 3×6 rack in another area of my somewhat limited space of garage, and I would certainly feel confident in this product for it.

Review: The storage rack is very easy to setup, but probably needs 2 people to install. I’m not a handyman and the longest time was spent finding the studs on the wall.It will help a lot if you have some power tools, my hands & legs were so sore the next day as I don’t have power tools and have to tighten everything manually using the tools they provided. In the beginning during installation, I had to drill some holes to test for studs as my stud finder sometimes gave wrong readings. Once I know the location of the studs, it was easy to install. My wall studs (vertical) are 16 inches apart and there is a horizontal stud on top, while my ceiling studs are 24 inches apart. For the back of the rack, I screwed the ceiling bracket to the top of the wall, parallel to the stud. For the front of the rack, I screwed the ceiling bracket perpendicular to the studs on the ceiling. My son helped me by holding the ladder to make it steady, and lifting the wire grids as they’re heavy.Pros:* Smart design, hard to go wrong during setup & installation. For example, for the vertical brackets, there’s 2 of them, one with square holes and the other with round holes, if you make mistakes, the screw won’t fit in.* Strong, good quality, & durable rack* Hold 600 lbs.* Adjustable height* Comes with tools for installation* Fast delivery. When I ordered the 3×8 rack, delivery time shows 1 week even though I’m a Prime member, probably the item is not as popular as the 4×8 rack, which can be delivered the next day. However I was surprised when Amazon delivered the 3×8 rack in 2 days.Cons:* No extra screws, so don’t lose them* No diagonal support brackets, so it sways a bit horizontally, but I guess once you put some stuffs, it won’t sway anymore as the rack will be heavy.* No hooks included

Review: I recently purchased the FLEXIMOUNTS 3×8 Overhead Garage Ceiling Storage Rack1 and I must say, it’s a game-changer for garage organization. This heavy-duty metal rack, with a weight capacity of 600lbs, is not only well-built and sturdy but also offers a multitude of mounting configurations. The installation process was straightforward and took around 2 hours with two people. The package includes all the necessary hardware required for installation, which is a big plus12. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, making the assembly process a breeze. One of the standout features of this rack is its adaptability. Our studs were not spaced at the standard 24″, but we were still able to install the top brackets perpendicular to the joists, using two screws per bracket. This flexibility allowed us to customize the installation to fit our specific garage layout. The rack’s design is impressive, with an integrated grid that makes it more stable and sturdy compared to others with separate frames and wires. It’s also height adjustable from 22″ to 40″, providing lots of storage. This feature is particularly useful for storing seasonal and unused items, freeing up valuable floor space in the garage. In conclusion, the FLEXIMOUNTS 3×8 Overhead Garage Ceiling Storage Rack is a high-quality, durable, and versatile storage solution. It’s well worth the investment for anyone looking to maximize their garage storage space.

Review: I ordered 2 of these and found the rack’s were solid, sturdy and well finished. Putting them together was easy and installation was simple. I did it on my own but having an extra person to mount them to the ceiling would have been considerably easier with an extra body (as the instructions suggested). I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending these to anyone or even re ordering them if I had a need for more.

Review: Bought one of these for my storage room, was happy enough with it, so I bought a second for my garage when I saw it go on sale.Pre-drill your holes and make sure all your lag screws are screwed into beams, and this is a very solid constructed storage shelf. My Second shipment had some issues with my address, seller caught the issue before I noticed and emailed to get correct information.
