Title: Amazingly Fast – 8TB!!! 👀
Review: 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Huge thanks to Crucial, Amazon, Customs, and UPS International for the ⚡️ lightning-fast global shipping—I got this in just 5 days! After researching 8TB SSDs, I nearly went with Samsung’s T5 Evo but found that Crucial (U.S.) had an 8TB version at a great deal! Reviews showed Crucial was faster, and they weren’t wrong! I needed to free up space on my phone, so I backed up my phone’s videos (~600gb+) in just 4 hours instead of the estimated 20 hours—perfect timing before the Guns N’ Roses concert! 🎸🤘I noticed that the SSD did get warm, but a small desk fan helped. This SSD is a game-changer—the world’s smallest 8TB external drive, IP65-rated for dust/water, and built to survive a 3m drop. Plus, it comes with a 3-year warranty. Hope it lasts!🤞🙏

Title: tiny!
Review: this drive is half the size of my samsung 4tb (which im expanding from). im so impressed with the size.the included cord is sort of a joke, i couldnt really use it because its too short to rest the drive on anything since it just hangs from my pc tower & too close to my tablet & i dont own a laptop (which im sure was the only thing the cord would be useful for).i ended up going through all my other longer cords & discovered they were all usb2.0 except for 1.the 2.0 bottlenecks at around 40mbps, & the 3.0 cord i already had bottlenecks at approx 250mbps.i also tried c to c on my pc towers c usb. same speed as the 3.0 a usb ports (maybe even intermittenly slower).its really only gonna affect the first large migration (which took about 15 hrs).it did not seem to get overheated, but i did rest it above the pc towers overhead fans for good measure the entire time.amazon never lets me comment on price hikes but i think they dont care if its a sale compliment-the price is what sold me, usually its $100 per terabyte, i was dreading that maybe these are defective so the company was clearing stock, that may still be the case but im keeping backups on hard disc just in case. but i paid $440 for this, & its a lot of money but its a good deal for what you get.i still reordered a 2nd one though.i really wish there was larger options. a 10tb version would be ideal for me. you can fill up ssds to capacity & on windows you always lose like 1tb (this 8tb drive only has 7.27tb usable storage, & probably .25 of that has to be clear to avoid reducing speed & allowing room for the transfer cache).

Title: Blue…Like The T.A.R.D.I.S. (And Nearly As Spacious Inside!)
Review: I’ve used external hard drives for the entirety of my DJ career…once music became digital that is. They need some fairly hefty capacity as all of my tracks (over 100,000) are high bit rate audiophile quality. (Video would require even more!) Needless to say that I was delighted, then, to find a 2 TB SSD in my order when I had expected a single. Bonus! To give it a fair test, I hooked it up to my DJ computer, along with my current main HD with all of my tracks. With no formatting or other prep, aside from cleaning off some of the pre-installed software/files, I did a straight-up copy. In the past, this process lasted a very long time, beginning in the afternoon and running overnight! This time, however, I was moving files from an SSD as well as loading TO an SSD! I began around 1:00 in the afternoon and by 6:30 PM, the transfer was complete. That’s some mind-boggling speed! The drive was cool to the touch. Next, I had to see how faithfully the files transferred, so I fired-up my playback program and started mixing tracks. I did this for roughly four hours without a glitch. I’m stunned by how small and nice looking this tiny drive is! I’m also happy that it’s supposedly more rugged than the average HD, making it far more suitable for the DJ life “on the road.” (No, I didn’t drop it, get it wet or get it dusty. I’m sure that life will toss enough of all of that at me!” All of that adds up to me being delighted! At last, the price tags on SSDs are shrinking along with the physical drive sizes! There’s a very good chance I’ll be back here for more of these!

Title: Fast for what it is!
Review: I was sent a 2 TB version of this drive. Even though I only ordered a one terabyte version so I’m not gonna complain at the extra space, but I did want to disclose that as part of this review to make sure that it is noted that the extra storage space was not taken into consideration with this review.Overall, the drive is very small and very convenient for travel use and is overall very fast. I have attached a picture of the speed test for reference. This was used on a Apple M2 ultra system and I was not able to achieve the advertised 2100 Mb per second speed that is advertised. That being said it’s still pretty fast so for most people this would be a excellent way to provide some additional storage or to use as a back up drive. It is also noted that you get a pretty decent amount of space for the price so the cost for terabyte is not terrible either so it’s a good value.

Title: Micron Sent Me a Lemon SSD
Review: Was excited to try the new 8tb external portal SSD. Unfortunately, I plugged it in and it would not start up or be recognized by my computer. No lights, no humming, no engine running, just cold hard nothing when I plugged it in. I waited a month for it to be delivered and was DOA from the jump. Going back to the Samsung T7 Shield.

Review: Crucial X10 2TB External Portable SSD Drive :There seems to be a lot of online discourse about this product and its ability to lose data especially when used with a Macbook. From the limited reading I did on this, I think the problems arose from people using the wrong file format for IOS devices etc So in other words they started using it straight away without formatting it to the right filesystem.Well, I am using it on Windows and Android and I haven’t formatted it but so far nothing has gone wrong with the data I am testing it with. The transfer rate is indeed very fast and I am happy to see that my Android media player picked it up with ease and was able to play my media back smoothly without issues. It is a very small, lightweight device which is impressive but I have a good idea what might be inside it, which isn’t rocket science.I’ve seen people attach this directly to their iPhones and use it as a storage method for their photo shoots and long-form filming because the iPhone can be set up to do very fast and large file saving and this storage device can keep up with it.It seems to have a lot of possibilities but for now, its current job is to be a low-profile storage location for my hidden media player.
