Title: Great so far for a cheap trimmer
Review: Arrived today, unboxed, easy assembly (2 phillips screws), rather than read the guide, opted to jiggle and slap the guard until it slipped into place. My 8ah battery fit ok and the initial test run was different from a gas trimmer – its almost like there is less rpm but more consistent torque – plus the thin string means its not grabby. It bogs down a bit when doing thicker grass or ragweed, so you just finesse it and it’ll cut eventually. Maybe. It did for us. Had to help the string feed twice in an hr, but this wasnt hard either. My wife is quite pregnant, not an energetic or strong individual, yet she ran this for around 45 minutes without issue (other than the occasional string feed aforementioned). The 8ah battery went from 3 bars to 1 but she was able to clear out a lot of nuisance weeds from our edges, garden, and around the chicken coop. 5AH wife, 8AH battery.I’m 6’3 and she is 4’11 yet we both were able to operate it without any major discomfort – its light except for that big honkin battery.Does it feel cheaply made? Yes. I was deciding between a Milwaukee or a Dewalt as my next trimmer because I *rant start* really really hate Husqvarna. I bought a “nice” brushcutter for ~$400 and have only been able to use it maybe 10 times over 5 years. Its always something with that hunko junko. Bought a $100 troy bilt gasser from nemards(name changed to protect privacy), its awesome for 5 minutes then dies and wont restart. Im a young man. I don’t know much about carbs (uretors, I know carbohydrates well) – so I figure I’d take a risk on this unit and trim my way into the 21st century with a Melon Husk approved battery tool. For $70, I’m super happy.Sheesh, I may even register the warranty with their “yeah.net” email.

Title: Solid unit and performance for the price
Review: Heinpro Cordless String Trimmer Compatible with Dewalt 20V Battery: I purchased this Heinpro item based on its ratings and potential price/value. Easy assembly, only need to attach the shroud and handle. Slid in my Dewalt 20v and went to work. First off, the unit is light weight, even with the battery. This was my first time trimming/edging this year, but it handled the excess growth without issue. Trimmer head is easily adjustable, and rotation for edging is simple. Trimmer line fed out as needed without me having to mess with it. The line is small diameter, I wish it would take thicker. Battery made it most of the way through the yard before needing replaced. It was charged 20+v before starting, think it will survive the whole yard going forward now that the excess growth is handled. The unit isn’t very long even with the telescoping handle. Anyone over 6ft might be uncomfortable using it. The guide wheel on the shroud is a little unstable but was helpful for edging. I think this is a great unit for light to medium personal home use and appears to be a good value for the price. No feedback on long term functionality as I’ve only used once.

Title: Lightweight with good cutting ability.
Review: Have used the trimmer for two weeks now and find it meets my expectations. I wanted a lightweight (I am 75) quite trimmer to use early in the morning before it gets too hot ( live in FL) and the Heinpro works well. I use a 12ah battery and for me it is overkill I could easily use a smaller battery. I was apprehensive about the single trimmer line but it works fine and it feeds automatically ( it is not a bump feed) although it did jam a few times when the spool was full it only took a few seconds to clear. Overall I am very happy with the Heinpro trimmer.

Title: Lightweight and easy to use
Review: I bought this cordless weed eater because I needed one that was lighter weight and easy to start. This one met those criteria. The DeWalt batteries are compatible and fit securely. I used the small DeWalt battery to keep the weight down. It will last me roughly 20 minutes, allowing me to finish about 65% of my yard. Fortunately, the battery recharges in less than 20 minutes, so I can easily go back and finish the rest. The cord is easy to change out when it is gone, and having an extra trimmer cord reel secured to the handle makes it so I don’t lose it between change outs. I wouldn’t recommend this trimmer for heavy duty jobs, but it works great for the standard lawn.

Title: Not for Florida grass
Review: If you live in Florida, this thing will struggle very hard to cut that thick grass we have.It has “only one filament”, so the cut is extremely slow, and take about 8 times longer to cut the grass. And if it takes longer to cut, you will get tired faster and waste time on every cut you need to do.And honestly, I gave up on finishing trimming further as it was painfull slow….I had an echo with 58v battery and bought this as replacement, but it really does not work well enough for my needs.I love the idea that it works with my dewalt batteries but it uses a whole battery in 30 min.So I am now stuck, with buyer remorse, regret pulling the trigger on this purchase.

Title: Trimmer that makes the cut!
Review: I wanted a simple battery trimmer to work with my DeWalt batteries. I was surprised to see that this trimmer adjusted to trim vertically or horizontally with a simple button press. It also has a guide wheel to help with edging my lawn. The automatic line feed works well, which was not the case on my other trimmer. It also quickly shortens for shorter users, or for storage. It is quiet, lightweight and perfect for my needs. The battery I used still showed a full charge after I took care of all my edging.

Title: You get what you pay for.
Review: I like that it’s not at all heavy, but1. It’s too short. I’m an average height guy and I have to stoop over to use this trimmer.2. It has less power than my old 20v trimmer. This thing bogs down far easier than it should considering the 20v 5AH battery I used.3. It just feels cheap. I’ve only used it once, and it didn’t break, but I half expected it to.

Title: Solid Trimmer for 20v Dewalt Batteries
Review: Very easy to adjust and assemble. Dewalt 20V batteries fit and function well. Trimmer is strong and line is easy to change. Only thing is I wish the length of the trimmer was longer. Good choice overall!
