The GPS accuracy and magnet strength receive mixed reviews, with some praising the GPS while others report it fails to find courses, and while some find the magnet strong, others find it weak. Title: Accurate and useful
Review: The Swami Kiss is accurate. I compared its distance readings with my friends’ GPS watches and golf scopes, and found the Swami readings to be accurate. The screen is easy to read. The controls are easy and quick. It charges quickly, and gives you at least 2 rounds on a charge.I do have one little gripe …. after using it for 3 rounds, I found that occasionally it didn’t read the hole I was on, and gave me distance on an adjacent hole. This could have been due to the fact that on the course I played, the greens and tee boxes are very close to each other. So I’m awarding 4 stars now, and will see how it performs on other courses, for a possible revision to 5 stars.

Title: Has some problems
Review: I’m on my second unit, after returning the first one. The price is right, but I’m thinking you get what you pay for in this case. The first one, on SOME courses, would freeze up and crash when you tried to look at hazard distances. The screen would just go blank and it would restart. The second one shows the hazard distance (which I don’t think is correct) and then crashes and restarts. Out of the courses in my area, this only seems to happen on two, but unfortunately one of those is my home course, where hazard distances are particularly useful. I did update the firmware and the courses, but that didn’t fix the issue. I called customer support, and they told me to update it. They said if that didn’t work, I could get a replacement. As I said above, the replacement was pretty much as bad as the first one. My suspicion is that they have a problem with some courses in their course database. Some testing on their part would fix the problem.I’m currently debating on whether I want to return the second one and spend more on a different unit. This one does seem to give good yardage distances and I like the form factor and the price, but it’s buggy and that’s why I gave it one star.

Title: Not bad, not great
Review: Need to fully charge after 18 holes. Magnetic, so it easily sticks on to the frame of the golf cart. Only problem my course rearranged a few of their holes over the winter. This gps is still working with the old layout. So I have to remember what the old holes were numbered. For example, hole 2 was the old 5. So when we’re on hole 2 I have to advance the screen to hole 5.

Review: While the product worked as advertised, the screen contrast was too low to make the rangefinder useful, even at at low ambient light levels.
