Review: Had a Dynex version of a cassette adapter for 20 years. Worked fine. Was hoping the Phillips name and the good reviews would deliver the same results. With this adapter, it works fine for about 5 minutes and then the volume decreases by about 75%. Cranking the volume all the way up, does almost nothing.

Title: Using For Software Transfer From PC to Amstrad CPC 464 Cassette Drive
Review: I’m using this for something a bit different, a way to transfer software from my PC to the cassette drive in an Amstrad CPC 464 using this audio cassette adapter. The data the CPC 464 reads from the tape drive is essentially scrambled audio data that is decoded by the CPC during load.The adapter quality isn’t the best, but it does seem to do the job and it’s good enough for what I need it for. Hopefully it will hold up long enough for my uses and if so, then I’ll be happy.For those who want to know, I also tested it with an actual audio cassette player connected to my phone with a 3.5mm adapter and it worked fine. Sound was in stereo and nothing was out of the ordinary. Sound quality wasn’t bad either and it’s so easy that anybody can figure it out. I had to make sure this would work before I tried it in a rare vintage computer and I’m thankful it works.

Review: Tape cassette works great for those vehicles that still have that feature to plug into your iPod, walk-man or other external audio devices. I actually purchased another unit for back-up in case they become obsolete.

Review: I would rate these higher but the first two that I received did not work.  The second two did work well.  I would consider these disposable as the thin wires will easily break.
