Title: Comfort and quality footwear
Review: Great shoes, wore them on our recent trip to Alaska. Perfect for normal walking, hiking on trails, and walks along the rocky beaches.

Title: Perfect width for my surgically repaired foot!
Review: These were absolutely perfect in every way. Since my surgery, only 2E shoes and boots fit. I was worried that I’d never find nice hiking boots, but these were an excellent value. They’re in great shape and they were a little stiff, but they worked right in. I love them!

Title: Great looking shoe, but not as soft as other fresh foam
Review: I’m a fan of New Balance Fresh Foam, and I own several pairs of fresh foam running shoes. I have neuropathy, and i need the softness where my feet meet the shoe. These shoes may have plenty of compression in the soles, I have to assume, but they are hard enough that the balls of my feet go numb when I wear them (I only wore them in the house). I don’t know if this model is harder on the foot or if something is wrong with this particular pair of shoes. This makes me sad because the price was very reasonable, and I really like the look of them.

Title: Finally! A Mid Top Summer Hiking Sneaker
Review: Update:Took these out on a hike at my local state park after a particularly wet week. There were lots of puddles, mud, and lots of places to slip.Tested water resistance when I sank into a muddy puddle. My foot got wet, but dried quickly. The traction was good when we had to cross large puddles on wobbly fallen branches. My feet stayed cool throughout the whole hike! I was impressed, even when it was pretty hot and humid out.Overall, these shoes are everything I needed them to be; cool, comfortable, cute, and supportive of my ankles and feet.————Original:I’ve been on quite the hunt for a shoe that offered good ankle support, that’s breathable for the summer, and something at least semi-cute. In the world of hiking, cute is not in the manufacturer’s vocabulary… at least nothing that is reasonably affordable. I’m pleased that these check all those boxes.I ordered these in a half size larger and in wide since I read several reviews about these being tight all over. The half size and width make these very comfortable and allow me to add thick socks for wetter and colder seasons! So plus!Bought these for an upcoming camping trip where there will be light hiking, but being pregnant, I need breathable shoes for the humid Texas heat. Haven’t had a chance to test them out yet, but will update me them after I get a chance to put them to the test. It’s worth noting that the rim of the ankles are stiff and does need to be broken in. Even with tall socks, they are rubbing.

Title: I’ve got shoes, they’re made of plywood
Review: O. M. G. Where do I begin……First off, the shoes came in a generic (non New Balance) box which means they’ve previously been returned. Not a good sign. Tried them on and they were super uncomfortable around the ankles, very stiff and felt like I was being jabbed. Tied them somewhat loosely to see if that helped, it did not.  Maybe they need to be broken in?? With this in mind I figured I would give them a fair shot and test them out. Put them on with boot socks and got on the treadmill. NOPE. Less than 5 minutes and I couldn’t stand it. Felt like I was doing the Frankenstein/Herman Munster walk. Super stiff all around, not just at the ankle. Normally a huge New Balance fan so I am extremely disappointed. Definitely going to return them.Â

Title: Uncomfortable
Review: I like the style of the shoe. True to size but the toe area is VERY narrow even in the wide option. Also, if you have high arches then where the tongue is sown it is a little bit uncomfortable. I’d never buy this shoe at full price. Wait until it’s on sale.

Title: Finally!!
Review: I have size 5, wide, flat feet. I have been having a horrible time finding an ankle boot/shoe that is comfortable for my upcoming trip to Europe. I’ve tried Keens, Orthofeet, and a few other ones all of which I have had to return because they just weren’t comfortable or didn’t fit right, or there was too much/not enough of an arch, slipped in the heel. I even went to the good feet store.I have been breaking these in and my are tired because I’m out of shape but they are really supportive and and feel great. One of them rubs on my ankle some but it’s probably because I need a knee replacement I’m a little bit out of alignment as the other one doesn’t do that and I already had that one done. They not only feel great they look great, super cute, it’s more of a hiking shoe than a boot but honestly I’m so glad I saw a review on these and will also be ordering a low top pair as well. Worth every penny.

Review: I wear NB runners on 8.5 wide and they’re fine. These boots are the same size but too small in length and width. The seen in tongue could be advantageous but it is too tight over the arch of my foot.If I go up half a size it’s another $80 and xwide isn’t available. Also, the trim of the grey lavender appears to be suede, but the description says synthetic outer shell. Since I look for shoes that aren’t made with animal hides, that is an issue for me. Other colours were clearly all synthetic but $100 more.If you’re okay with suede and go up half a size, then they’re excellent boots. The sole tilts inward more than my last 3 fresh foam shoes but an insole may correct that. Being too small when you have to wait to get them is a big disappointment.

Review: I ordered these for my wife. I ordered UK size 7.5 and was sent US size 7.5 which equates to a UK size 5.5! They will be returned. They looked smart and hard wearing and in the correct size I think they would have been superb.
