Title: VERY fun game
Review: One of my sons asked for the game Once Upon a Time for Christmas. I bought these in addition because he is very creative and often creating his own worlds. What a twist he has put on the game! Our stories start out as fairy tales and end up as science fiction. We have so much fun and there are A LOT of cards, enough so you could probably create your own game with these cards alone. (Although I wouldn’t recommend only buying these, they are an addition to the regular game. You should know how to play before trying to create your own.)

Review: My teenage son (an aspiring writer) loves sharing stories while playing this with family and friends. Easy to pack and pull out anywhere. On my blog list of favorite games for the art and creative aspect. Great way to connect with kids. We’ve used at our homeschool co-op as well. This set is a wonderful way to add your own touch to the original game and prompts… especially to add family inside jokes, personal references, quirks, memorable moments, etc. What’s your story?

Title: Make an Amazing game even better, and more suited to your grup.
Review: Once Upon a Time is still one of my favorite games to play with my friends. This addition absolutely makes it silly and rediculous and all the more fun. We added delightful additions to our stories, that now have alien invasions and Samurais. Creating our Own cards made Once Upon a Time even more amazing with my group of friends because we were able to add our own sense of humor and excitement to the already wonderfully made game.

Title: Expand your game the way YOU want
Review: These blank cards for the storytelling card game “Once Upon a Time” are a fantastic way to customize and expand the base game. The cards are the same quality as the originals with the same back design so your custom cards will blend in with the original deck. While there are a lot of expansion packs for “Once Upon a Time”, I think the blank cards are particularly nice because you can do ANYTHING with them – stick with tried-and-true, thematic story elements or go wild and throw in off-the-wall items, qualities, and characters to add a dose of humor to your next game. The sky is the limit.

Title: Dont have the actual card game…
Review: I think its a great mechanic, however if you don’t have the “actual game” these are useless. The cards are in great condition, so as the box they came in. I have been trying to find the “actual game in stores but cant. Who knows maybe the seller I bought these from will make me an offer on the original game if he or she so chooses.All in all, I really cant say to much about this product since I cant play it without the original game.

Title: Really needs to be labeled as a booster pack of blank cards.
Review: I was a bit disappointed with this. I thought I was getting the game. What I got was a booster pack of blank cards that I really have no idea what to do with them. This was the equivalent of buying a pack of regular playing cards and find they forgot to print the suits on the cards.

Title: I use with counsseling
Review: I work as a trauma therapist, and I use these cards with clients to help discuss difficult topics and to assess levels of hope and level of self-efficacy. It also helps develop problem-solving skills and expand one’s idea of choice and options. Great to use at home with kids for the same reasons, without them ever even knowing they are learning new skills. Increases creativity. The freedom of the game allows for any type of mood to develop, so stories can be funny or serious, or both, and you can’t purposely avoid an emotion that randomly comes up. I love that there are also heroic female endings included.I bought all the sets, and use them all. I also use the kindle book that helps you to write stories, as it suggests some standard plot twists to get people started being creative.

Review: This allowed me and my friends to come up with words and phrases that make it harder and more interesting to get rid of your cards while playing the game…. add your own words, and endings, just be sure to follow the category on the card so as not to cause confusion like using a guitar for a action instead of an item as it can cause havok with someone who has an interrupt card…. this allows you to be more creative in the way you play the game… by 3 and you could use it as a standalone with only cards and endings you and your friends have made.

Review: As a fan of Once Upon a Time, I love the idea of designing my own cards. This set does not disappoint. I would advise buyers however that they should invest in a good fine line permanent marker as the cards have the familiar satin finish found on other cards in the series.
