Title: Powerful and Fun
Review: Had a ball engraving with my old 5w laser but always wanted to be able to cut THROUGH thicker material. The 40w power of this laser can certainly do that – I’ve easily cut Christmas ornaments out of 1/4″ thick maple and walnut, and other projects (gear teeth for a kinetic sculpture) out of 1/2″ Baltic plywood with no problems at all (other than the*cough, cough* smoke! Works great with Lightburn software. Easy to assemble from the sturdy parts and I had it working in well under an hour. Air assist is quiet and powerful with little vibration.

Title: So far it’s working very well
Review: Used to both cut and engrave mostly wood and some fabric projects and it has met our expectations. It took some time to assemble but it went smoothly. Seems to be a quality machine.

Title: Good beginner laser engraver
Review: First thing I think that they did a decent job with the build quality on this machine, it feels solid except for the covers. The camera seems a bit off no matter how much i calibrate this thing and I just cant get it right. The software that comes with it needs some work but it works good, reminds me somewhat of cricut design space. I’ve tried both the default software and Lightburn, I prefer lightburn but the software that they make is really good and I think if they do some updates it will be a great program. For my use I think it is a good buy and good value for money, simple to use with some bugs here and there but if your just getting started with lasers this might be a good buy in my opinion. the enclosure and the ability to look at the work being done is pretty cool in my book. wireless capability would have been awesome and i wish they had implemented this as i don’t like having cables running to my laptop.

Title: No complaints, but Diodes are limiting
Review: I have put very little time on this machine, so treat my review accordingly. So far i have no real complaints although a few things could be improved on. But the thing I really want to say is, if you can afford it, if you can save up for it, I would suggest that you buy a CO2 laser first. I am in the position of having bought a nice powerful diode based laser and realizing I should have bought something else. I think for most folks, especially if you are thinking about working with acrylics, CO2 is a better starting place. Later, there are other types to explore like UV and Fiiber. But CO2 will pretty much do what a diode will do, plus acrylics. Diodes can do some acrylics, but not clear or blue, and for me the deal killer is the lack of clear capability. Oh well, you spend, you learn, you cuss, save up some more money, and try to get it right the next time. Anyone want to buy a relly nice nearly new 60 watt diode laser? I hope this is helpful. Title: Great Machine!
Review: We got this yesterday so we haven’t been able to do a lot with it but, it’s so much better than our old laser. The lines are cleaner, the speed is much faster and set up was a breeze. I would recommend this to anyone!
