Title: 40 by 80 Bath Sheet, Chocolate Brown
Review: I got the 40×80 100% cotton bath sheet (towel), made in Turkey. I put my purchase in the heading and here because Amazon does not display what the reviewer bought when reviews are searched (nor does it allow one to up-vote reviews in the search result – they are absolute idiots). (Amazon also convolutes reviews of different products which distorts the ratings – absolute idiots ten times over. Not to mention the Q&A can now only be accessed as a search result, one can no longer browse through it – I’ve answered hundreds of customer’s questions which Amazon has decided to crap on.)It is a solid good towel and plenty thick to use as a throw blanket which is what I wanted. I had been using a vintage Cecil Saydah oversize beach towel (once thick 100% Egyptian cotton) as a throw blanket until it finally developed holes. It was by far the best and biggest beach towel I’ve ever had and its long warm (but not bright) colored stripes looked great when folded in the living room. Sometimes you don’t quite realize what you’ve got until it’s gone. So I choose this big brown towel sheet as its replacement. I measured the towel when I got it, before washing: 38″ wide at each end although (strangely) 39″ wide right in the middle; the lengths (along the sides) were 80″ and 81″ (yep, when folded over, one long side was a full inch longer than the other) and the towel down its long middle measured 80 1/2″.I then washed it (using a shorter easier machine cycle, with mostly dark items that I wanted darker, and also with a light item I didn’t care about darkening), and I dried all on regular (not lower) heat. Before drying, there was a good amount of lint on the accompanying items but it got removed by the dryer. The light colored item did not get noticeably darker. Other reviewers mention issues with color contamination (which didn’t affect me) and large amounts of lint even after many washes. I saw about the amount of lint that one would expect from a big heavy new towel – nothing unusual there.Here are the measurements after one wash: width at ends is now 36 1/2″ (shrank 1 1/2″ from 38) yet the width at the middle only shrank 1/2″ (now 38 1/2″ instead of 39); the long sides now measure 73 1/4″ and 74″ (was 80 and 81). I calculate roughly 3100 square inches before washing and 2765 square inches after the initial wash and dry for 11% shrinkage, which would be roughly 13.7% “shrinkage” from the advertised dimensions.After the big shrink, this towel is actually the size I desired (and still far more substantial than the towel/blanket it’s replacing). Finally, while I have no way of verifying the advertised “600 GSM Heavyweight,” I can attest to it being heavy and thick which is also what I desired. This chocolate brown color has a strong hint of burgundy which is detectable when next to my more standard browns (which are all lighter too until this towel fades).There is no brand name and it seems (per the reviews) that some (relatively few) people have gotten lesser quality towels with differing issues, and the various items sold over the years are not exactly the same, so be careful.The price just dropped 15% for Black Friday, so at $25.46, I ordered a second bath sheet. Update: The second bath sheet was just delivered and I did a quick (before wash) measure. I get the exact same width at the ends as the first towel although it’s even wider (significantly) in middle width, and the long ends are 3/4″ different from each other instead of a full inch, but the overall length is the same. I am good and happy with my new towel blankets.

Title: Very attractive hanging on a towel rack; easy to take care of
Review: Bath towel is 80 inches long. Very well constructed. Thick enough to catch every drop of water, but still soft enough to use. Washes and dries well. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this towel for future use.

Title: Plush and Absorbent towels…Very formal looking / good quality
Review: Couldn’t find this color of purple anywhere locally in quality towels. The towels are plush and very absorbent. The weight and durability of the fabric is pretty good. Use them in my guest suite bathroom and they look very formal. Have washed several times and they have had no noticeable shrinkage. So far the color has not faded either. Would definitely but these again when needed. Makes a great gift idea for newly weds and housewarming events.

Title: Still look nice after shrinking and light color fading.
Review: Ordered sage green color and the color is as shown on site, very soft and plush right out of the package. I measured each towel before washing in warm water and dried on low heat, as directions said. There was green color in the water, so some fading, but not awful. Shrinking, yes, and a bit of curling, so they didn’t lie flat. Here are the before and after dimensions. Bath towel, 54 1/2 x 27 1/4, down to 51 1/2 x 27. Hand towel, 28 x 16, down to 26 1/4 x 15 1/2. Wash cloth, 13 x 13, down to 12 x 12. I’m assuming they won’t shrink more. They don’t feel as plush as when they came out of the package, but they are still nice.

Title: Great towels for the price!
Review: These towels are great !! Soft and absorbent. My bathroom has marbleized gold ceramic tile with brown trim. I replaced 4 worn out sets with 1 set each in mint green, moss green, beige and chocolate brown. They are true to size and didn’t shrink.Wish I had done it sooner

Title: soft and luxurious
Review: These are soft and luxurious bath towels. They are wonderfully large, and so soft and plush. The perfect way to dry off after a nice soak in the tub or a long shower. So far, these towels have washed well and kept their color and quality beautifully. They’re so plush and soft that they take up a bit more space than I expected in my closet, so be sure to clear out a bit of extra room for them if you plan on buying — they’re worth it!

Title: Super Disappointed (Bait and Switch? Or shrinkflation?)
Review: Super DisappointedI ordered the same towels in two colors and got two different products. I have bought several of the oversized towel/blankets for the pool in the past. We have loved the quality and durability. So when it came time to replace my bathroom towels I knew I wanted the same quality. Unfortunately the items came in two different shipments and I did not inspect both packages thoroughly before washing them. It wasn’t until I started folding them that I realized that they felt and looked way different. They had a flat and synthetic feel to them and half the fluff. Now that we have used them we in spite of our disappointment they don’t absorb either.

Title: Nice, soft bath towels
Review: The towels felt very thin when I took them out of the package. However, as other helpful reviewers mentioned, the towels did fluff out after one wash. They are now very soft and about medium weight, definitely not thin at all. I love the gray color, which is more like greige. The tag does say 100% Turkish cotton and Made in Turkey. Would buy again.

Review: I don’t find these towells thin. I’d say they are medium weight which I wanted because they will dry more quickly. At first I felt the colour wasn’t exactly like in the photo on Amazon but although it’s brighter the colour is plenty dark enough out of the plastic. Happy with this purchase and with the fact I could buy hand towells and facecloths without buying bathtowells.One thing that is unusual is the fact that the decorative band (not sure what to call that) is only at one end of the towell. Now I’ve always thought those bands, if too larger are a waste of useable towell so this doesn’t bother me.
