Title: Easy to Setup, No Leaks, and VERY Spacious!
Review: This tent was fantastic. Bought it for a week at the SCA Gulf Wars and was expecting rain so I was a little nervous.Setup was super easy and while we had 2 people to set up the tent, it could have definitely been done by one person. We laid down two 10×12 ft. tarps as a barrier for the tent floor so it would be less cold from the morning dew on the ground. Once those were down, we just rolled the tent out on top of the tarps and got to staking as per the instructions. The instructions are not in standard English so it might be a little confusing and the illustrations are so small, they are pretty much useless, but it wasn’t hard to figure out how to get it set up.I will make a note, you need to pay attention to the center pole’s direction. There is a clamp on one end of the pole that needs to be positioned closer to the ground and not the tent roof. This will make it to where you can actually use the vent at the top of the tent and release warm air! There’s no mention of this in the instructions, so it’s VERY important if you are going to be camping during the Spring and Summer. The first night we slept in the tent, there was a thunderstorm with moderate winds and rain. Not a drop leaked into the tent. No condensation, no leaking, and the tent didn’t budge an inch. I doubled checked the tension straps in the morning and adjusted a few slack ones, and that was it. Nothing was damaged and everything was dry inside. It is quite warm on a sunny day in the tent, even with all the windows zipped down to let air in, so again, make sure you can use the roof vent! Morning dew beaded up on the outer fabric and was never a problem inside the tent. We did place a outdoor circular rug in the center, which made it much nicer than just stepping on the tent floor. Highly recommend doing that.It was large enough that the 6’2 person in our camp could stand up easily with no issues and we fit two queen sized cots, two 27 gallon heavy duty storage bins (the black and yellow ones), a mid sized cooler, a garment rack for hanging clothes, and two boot trays with plenty of room to spare. My ONLY complaint about this tent is the way the doors zip down instead of up. It made getting out of the tent a little tricky and we couldn’t just leave the door unzipped for easier access, especially for those middle-of-the-night potty breaks. Other than that, it was worth every penny!!!

Title: Amazing!
Review: First of all, there were no reviews when I bought this so it was scary but I am thrilled with this tent! The stakes are thick and sturdy, the guy lines are much bigger than average and have metal sliders. The canvas material is very nice, stitching seems sturdy and the zippers are oversized. The whole bottom unzips for ventilation and it has 4 windows when it’s closed up. I’m very impressed with the quality of all the materials, the center pole is so thick I have complete confidence it will hold up, the whole thing fits back into the canvas bag provided with separate canvas bags for the poles and stakes. Best of all I’m using it for reenactment and it doesn’t have a brand sticker anywhere visible! I LOVE this tent.*Edit* left it out in the rain for a few hours, there wasn’t any water inside the tent but the interior fabric was damp. I’m buying some spray for it, its not waterproof more resistant.*edit** I left it up for a week in the yard and it never moved, had a few heavy rainstorms where I did get some water in the bottom through the zipper but I believe it’s because it wasn’t flat and the overhang just poured right into that zipper connecting the floor to the walls. Still love it! I sprayed it down with some waterproofing just in case

Title: Good value
Review: Here is my experience so far with this tent. I have seasoned it, camped in it, dyed it green, debated waterproofing it ad nauseum, and finally fitted it with a rainfly and wall props (staves, poles). We used to have an old canvas tent growing up, but I think it may have been treated (zinc/copper napthenate, i.e. canvak). That said there are plenty of raw canvas tents out there (new and decades old) that are perfectly functional. I bought this tent with only few reviews and it was a decent value, but a month later the price dropped 25% for cyber monday, so be aware. In the end I decided to leave the canvas un-waterproofed since it is naturally waterproof-ish (all tents leak if you are touching the side). However I did choose to protect the tent with a rainfly from LifeinTents which fit well and is very heavy duty. So the tent doesn’t need the rainfly to be rainproof, but using the rainfly will drastically increase the life of the tent, as well as the weather resistence now. Potentially keeps it cooler in the sun and warmer in the cold. It keeps off UV, bugs, sap, bird poo, rain, dirt, etc. This tent is bulletproof now.I dyed it green to make it look cooler(obv), show dirt less, and attract fewer insects. Many small gnats were attracted to the white canvas. I made the staves to reduce the diameter of the setup(10-12′ smaller now) and to pull the walls out horizontally instead of at a down angle. The height works out so that the staves can be used with or without the rainfly. The tent feels a little bigger with the wall props than without. My only gripe is with some of the minor fitment details: after the canvas shrinks, it really seems like the bathtub floor is a little too big, so you have to be aware when you first stake out the tent(don’t pull it tight). But once it is set up you don’t need the floor stakes to do very much anyway.I am an eagle scout, and have spent a lot of time in a lot of tents. This tent is pretty great, and with the right TLC(and the rainfly) I expect it to last a long time. You could waterproof it but i just don’t want to go down that road, or sleep in a giant tent soaked in Teflon®.
