Customers say
Customers find these pants provide excellent warmth and water resistance, keeping them dry during skiing and repelling water effectively. They appreciate the comfort, with one customer noting they’re not puffy like most ski pants, and like the color, with one mentioning they’re nice enough to wear to dinner. The fit and quality receive mixed feedback – while some find the medium size great and the material amazing, others report sizing issues and stitching problems upon delivery.

Title: Best cold weather pants I own!
Review: I needed a pair of pants that would work for cold, rainy hikes and wouldn’t be super heavy. First of all, the sizing on Arctix can be a little funny. My waist is 27, hips 35, inseam 29-30. The small short fits me well with some room in the waist area and enough room to put a pair of fleece leggings underneath, if needed. These aren’t adjustable like the Arctix snow pants but have belt loops- so a basic canvas belt would work well. I thought I would have to have a belt, but they stayed up fine without me having to tug at them. I think the xs short would work as well, but I like them a little looser. Second, warmth and waterproof: I’ve worn them in 30 degree rainy weather and stayed warm and dry without an extra layer. These have a super soft flannel layer that is just cuddly. They don’t make the noise that the Arctix ski pants do when you walk, and they, certainly, aren’t as thick. Worn in the rain, the water just beads up and doesn’t soak in. This could be different if you are super soaked, but they worked well for me. They have gators with elastic that can cover your boots to avoid any splashing or snow. I got the black and all of the Arctix logos were also in black. The hand pockets are on each side and are big enough for my phone. If it’s cold enough, I may just wear them to work. They can be dressed up a little with the right top or sweater. I hope this review helps someone. I really love these.

Title: Sizing off
Review: These are great but the sizing is inconsistent. I had to order 3 pairs of one size to get one that fit. I ordered a pair and they fit great so I ordered the same size in another color and it was so small. I couldn’t even get the button close to closing. So I ordered two more one was a little small and the other one fit. So, I do love them, but fit is inconsistent.

Title: Overall fantastic!
Review: I bought this last minute for a trip to Iceland in March (think lots of rain, some snow, temp range 30-50, lots of hiking). I bought a few different pants on Amazon and tried them on before the trip; ended up choosing this one (and loving it / wore it every single day for a week) because:1) mid-high waist fit very comfortably on me, wasn’t too tight in the hips. Not enough room for me to wear a thermal underneath (and tbh did not need to)2) it has a flare at the bottom which was both flattering and the right length to go over my hiking boots (I’m 5’7″)3) it has a waterproof layer at the bottom which tucked nicely in my boots and kept a lot of water out of my shoes when splashing in shallow waters4) Black was flattering! I got white too but ended up not using it5) Reasonably priced. I will be keeping this for future trips so to me, this is worth it.6) Pretty thick. Not the thickest to the point that it’s heavy or too hot for hiking, but still cozy and warm.7) it definitely got wet but dried quicklyCons:1) it’s not fully waterproof, which it’s not advertised to be, but that would be the only thing I would want changed2) to close the pants, there are two clips. The top one was fine, but the bottom one was not secure so it kept angling and making it hard to clip on. sometimes I just clipped the top one and it was totally fine.Overall, would recommend this pant, with just a few points of feedback as above.

Title: Straight figured girls rejoice! Update: A year later…
Review: Thoughts on size/fit:I literally read hundreds of reviews (obsessed, I know) to find the best fit for my straight figure. According to the size chart for these snow pants I would need an XL in the waist and a M in the hip. I decided to order the L and hope for the best. Well, they fit great! They are slightly big, but I can easily wear a belt and can also fit leggings under them on especially cold days. They don’t cut into my stomach when bending down which would be so uncomfortable when putting on my snowshoes or XC skis or picking up after my dogs.Thoughts on the actual snowpants:First of all, I’m a black, gray, neutral kind of gal, when it comes to clothing. I decided to order the plum pants and am so pleased! Cute color and goes well with my plain, dark jackets. The pants themselves feel stretchy and comfy. I got them today, immediately put them on and took my dogs for a walk in about 30 degree temperatures for about 30 minutes. The snow that gathered at the bottom of the pants skimmed off and didn’t soak in at all. The pockets are fleeced lined and deep. I felt warm and also stylish compared to the big, bulky, snow pants I wore in the past. Since I just received these, I can’t comment on durability.I highly recommend these if your shape is more straight than hourglass.Update: I have worn these snow pants for one full winter and they have held up well. I mostly walk in them, so nothing too strenuous. For size reference: I am 5’6″ tall and weigh 165 or so. I bought the large size and they fit nicely with room for layering. I still recommend them!

Title: Good quality and fit for the price
Review: I’m 5’6” and 190 lbs, and usually fit into a Large. I got a Large and they fit great, just a little snug. They feel high quality, except for the hooks at the waist above the zipper. I wore them outside (it’s 15 degrees F right now) for a bit and I stayed warm. Snow pants are usually really expensive so I’m glad I found these within a reasonable budget.
