Title: FRANCO AND FU FOR TWO
Review: Blu-ray double feature arrived very quickly and in great condition. 2 movies on 1 disk. Under $16. Separate set-up choices for each film. The Blood of Fu Manchu, 93+ min., widescreen, English subtitles and several bonus features. The Castle of Fu Manchu, 92 min., widescreen, English subtitles and several extras. I believe Blood of Fu Manchu is the better of the two, interesting to find out these are Jess Franco films. Both worth a watch.

Title: Fun film if you’re not too picky
Review: Lee is probably the best of those to portray Fu Manchu. Karloff is a close second. This series of films combines campy characters and sincere, if not necessarily good, performances. They’re all just fun to watch.

Title: Hmmmm. Pretty cheesy films.
Review: Technically, the blu ray is perfect and the films look good in high definition. I bought this disc because the films starred Christopher Lee. But these two Fu Manchu films are probably the cheesiest films I’ve ever watched. There’s a market for this stuff but you have to be in the right frame of mind to watch them. Pure 1960s Eurotrash.

Title: Waiting for 4K restoration
Review: Too often Fu Manchu is portrayed as a 2D sort of character, when really he was a complex man. Some people say his crimes were like Hitler, Mussolini, or ISIS – but real history isn’t so simple.Overall, this could be the best of Christopher Lee’s five Fu films. It’s hard to say because they are all very good. My only criticism is for the unfair stereotypes of Englishmen having weak nerves and a strange fondness for lads. The directors should have implied those scenes rather than showing them.
