Title: Low cost insurance
Review: Cost is low. Good size for stove top. I never want to need to use this, so it remains in the package. I have on mounted in the garage near a fire extinguisher. On in the kitchen. I purchased these for the possibility of a lithium battery fire. With more and more products containing rechargeable lithium the potential for fire is real. My son is a city fireman. I asked about a fire extinguisher in his kitchen. He pointed me to a fire blanket. I have both.

Review: These fire blankets seem durable and good quality. I hope I never have to use them, but the directions are easy to read and are on each blanket in the set. I’m giving one to each of my grown children also for extra fire safety practices.

Title: Very nice to have if the need arises to put out a kitchen stove fire.
Review: Fortunately, we haven’t had to use this fire blanket and hopefully never will. However, it appears to be well made and has instructions printed on the outer container. It has a grommet to make it easy to hand inside a kitchen cabinet door. We bought 4, one for our kitchen, one for the travel trailer and gave one each to two of our sons.

Title: Ready in Seconds
Review: I’m rating these blankets based on my experience with them yesterday. I purchased these back in November after looking into them. We’ve had several small fires over the years (two oil, one electrical) and I’m always the one who puts them out. I wanted something simple and highly effective in addition to our big extinguishers that aggravate my asthma and are awful to clean up. I have one of these in my laundry room and one in the kitchen.Yesterday while I was cooking, I had a surprise boil-over that quickly ignited under the electric burner. I stayed calm, turned off the burner, walked to the pantry and had the blanket out of its sleeve and ready in seconds. Luckily the flame had died out on its own, but it felt so good to know that I had that fire blanket at the ready so quickly. Would it have put out the fire? Based on the feel of the material and certifications, I believe so. But I cannot attest to that. Hopefully I’ll never find out.

Title: It’s the peace of mind factor.
Review: This is one of those items which a hope I never have to review. The Emergency blankets are for emergencies, so thankfully there has not been an emergency yet. I can say that they were delivered in a timely manner and were packaged appropriately. There was a smell upon opening package, but it dissipated over night. Value can only be determined if (1) it saves you from a house fire, and (2) if it gives you peace of mind. I’m counting on 1 + 2 for my value.

Review: Mercifully, have not had to use it!!! It makes me feel good to have it in the kitchen where I can grab it easily just in case.I view it the same as I do fire insurance – gotta have it, hope to never use it! small cost for extra care.
