Title: Comfort with safety -great work boots
Review: The boots are very comfortable. I usually wear a 10.5 wide, but the wide were out of stock so these are 10.5 and fit perfectly. There feel solid and have a comfortable sole. These are padded with safety features including electric shock resistant and reinforced fiberglass toe. These feel solid and have cushie soles for the walking. Feels like walking on air.The one issue is the color description is “Brown” but the seem a little more like “burnt orange “ or some crayon color like that. Doesn’t quite look brown.

Title: MTA New York City Transit Motorman approved.
Review: I’ve worked for the MTA for 18 years and these are the most comfortable work boot I’ve ever worn. I have a wide toe box but standard heel which makes these boots perfect for me. Comfortable it the toe width and stable in the heel cup. They break in after one 8 hour shift. I just wish they still came in Black as the rail grease and steel dust etc. from the tracks shows up quickly on Brown. Rockport please don’t stop making this XTR toe cap series as they are a game changer. If you walk 10+ miles a week or work in transportation then I can’t recommend these enough. Thank you Rockport!

Title: Best boot I have found for a wide foot.
Review: The toe box is wide as advertised. I wear a EEE so I ordered the wide option. They are comfortable boots because the sides of my feet are not mashed. I use to buy Keen boots because they had a wide toe box but Keen has new designs that are still advertised as such but don’t fit like their old boots. That is very disappointing because they use to make a very comfortable boot. I would prefer this same Rockport boot without the composite toe and not waterproof because ALL truly waterproof boots make your feet hot in the summer. The waterproof feature is not needed very often in the South and is not worth the hot feet. It’s hard to find a good boot that is not waterproof. Again, Keen use to have a great boot with no safety toe and was not waterproof but they discontinued it. Hopefully Rockport will make a boot like that in this line.

Title: Best most supportive & comfy boots in over a decade for me
Review: Rockport shoes are the only brand that fit my feet with the wide with. I’ve owned several pairs of Rockport work boots. These are a bit shorter than their tallest models but are taller than typical mid-height boots. These fit and feel as if I spent a year treating with mink oil and breaking them in. The outside is soft and flexible which helps the fitfeel for my feet. Insoles are OK for me & I’m a bigger guy. Might need new insoles in a year but that’s to be expected for me.These also are full lace-up no hooks for the top couple eyelets. I hadn’t paid attention to that & glad I didn’t as I would likely have passed missing out on the most comfy boots I’ve ever worn. I have rheumatoid arthritis which affects my feet, ankles & knees. That means I need just the right balance of support & comfort. These have that in spades. I can go on walks again. The sole & platform are fairly stiff with just enough flex as I walk. The soles are not overly firm and toward the softer side. All of these features are with the price of admission. My Grandfather was a tool & die machinist who was on concrete all day for 10-hrs daily. He once told me to never buy cheap work boots. I’ve followed that advice for over decades…so for me the price of these is justified because of quality and how great my feet & legs feel after a few hours on my feet. I wear them as my daily drivers.Sorry I ramble, just trying to express the level of satisfaction I have wearing these boots.

Title: Large and Soft Feeling
Review: I like these better than any of the last three pair of “work” boots I have purchased. I got so tired of name brand work boots falling apart quickly I started cycling older waterproof hiking boots into work settings as I replaced them with new hikers. I took a chance on these.Pro — They are made of good quality leather. The leather accepted leather dressing without issues and looks great.- They required little break in and do not rub anywhere, including my bunion.- The shaft is snug fitting and comes up a true 6 inches. They did not skimp on the tongue or its attachments. There is enough leather in the shaft to lace properly without gapping, unlike a pair of boots I ended up returning.- The sole and insole feel almost like a tennis shoe, and the energy flex function seems to work.- The boots in general, and the toe box, feel slightly wide. Not sloppy, but generous. If you need that it’s a plus. They would accommodate heavy socks or thicker insoles.Cons — The arch support is a bit weak, and I have to lace up tightly to get the support I feel like I need.- The soles have been a little slippery on an oily surface. This might be because they are new and not scuffed in.- Laces are already fraying a bit. They may not last.Unless something changes I would recommend and buy again.

Title: For a Rockport These are Huge and Heavy
Review: I have several pairs of Rockport dress and casual shoes and they are all lite and comfortable. Imagine my surprise to get these and find they are huge, heavy and not comfortable at all. I guess the the safety toe should have been a give away but I thought Rockport would do better than this. And on the safety toe issue, why is it Rockport that this was the only high top work boot you offered at the time, I took a chance on these due to being Rockports, and was very disappointed. It would be like Ferrari building an army tank and trying pass it off as a pickup truck, not what I expected from Rockport 🙁
