Title: Bona-fide modern classic
Review: Apparently Kyuss is supposed to get partial credit for creating stoner rock. I think that’s sad because they sound and look like posers to me. In my mind it was Sabbath with sweetleaf that started it all. Then sleep re-defined it and clutch perfected it. This album didn’t take any time to grow on me.. I didn’t know about stoner-rock back in the day other than the classic stuff, but I knew there was something very right about this album when I first heard it in ’95. It was so good it transcended it’s genre to bring the stoner-rock sound to a broader audience. At least this album was hugely popular amongst my friends. Now I’m familiar with many stoner rock bands(Bison B.C., Electric Wizard, High on Fire, Acid King, Black Pyramid, etc..) and clutch still holds up with the best. I can’t really add anything revelatory to the other glowing reviews here. This is simply an incomparable album and easily one of the greatest things to ever happen in rock-n-roll.

Title: Dogsoul
Review: The original triumph of clutch! there is nothing, NOTHING wrong with this album. I believe it is appealing across genre lines with entertaning and thought provoking lyrics and first rate intrumental. The singer has tremendous power, and clearly one of the most intellegent vocalists ever in the business. An intelligence I can compare to Atmospheres MC, although over style is not really similar. Since this release Clutchs style has slowly evolved tooo.. something else thats still good, but if you want to understand the essance of this band you HAVE to start at the beginning! and I dont care who you are(country, metal, r&b, modern rock..) this album will please you! I swear to god. the best $10 you can spend.

Title: It’s Clutch, that’s what you need to know.
Review: Like the first time I ever watched the Big Lebowski, listened to the Deftones or heard Meshuggah, I didn’t know about this album at first. It’s simply a departure from the main and sometimes your mind can’t wrap around what it really is until 3 or so listens….then suddenly you’re in love. It’s Clutch with a little earlier agro style more akin to Powerman 5000, but it’s still the Clutch you know and love. Buy it.

Review: At first glance the silver looks ace.. the main thing is the vinyl plays flat (No warps) and sounds stellar.. Music on Vinyl do a good job once again. Recommended for the early hard rocking stoner funk sounds of Clutch!
