Title: High quality – very pleased
Review: The system displays good visual quality and the cameras have a hefty feel – a nice sign when dealing with security cameras. Be careful removing each of the six pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras from the foam packaging because the foam which protects them holds each camera very tight. The only documentation included with the kit is a quick start guide and it is very brief. Basically the guide has eight illustrated pages describing the parts and how to power it on. Other reviewers have noted that setting up this system is a breeze. This is true, you just plug it in and it works. I don’t think I have had a network device so easy to install. The system requires using an AOSU app (available for both Android and Apple). You just download it and install it on your appropriate device. What I really like is that there is no subscription required and no monthly fee (unless you want to use their cloud storage option.) When you run the app the first time you have to set up an account, pair the six cameras to the HomeBase, and then the complete system binds to your account. After these steps are finished you are done with the install part. The HomeBase sets up its own secured 2.4g wireless network between it and the six cameras. You connect to the system through your network Ethernet cable or wirelessly through 2.4g or 5g. With this system, everything is through the base; you cannot connect individually to the cameras without going through the base. If you connect to the IP address instead of using the app, you are welcomed by a Realtek WLAN access point webpage. This webpage has all kinds of network settings, firewall setup, and parameters. After the initial hardware install, pretty much everything is controlled and set through the AOSU app. Many settings are available. It will take some time setting up your desired schedules, modes, and parameters for each camera but having all these options are great. I think the ease of using the app is a major contributing part to the good reviews of this system. When you plan your camera mounting locations, remember to allow each camera some access to the sun. Avoid tree shades, roof overhangs, dark walkways, etc. The app displays battery level info for each camera and the C9C3EA11 cameras have a really good battery life: without sunshine 9 months in stand-by and 6 months (30 wake up times per day). With good sunshine available – forever. As FYI – I thought I could use one of the cameras temporarily in different locations (for example watching our dogs inside the house) using the camera upside down and the solar panel as a base. The cameras are wireless and rechargeable through a USB-C charge port. You too may think this is an option but I found that in the app the option to invert a video image is not available. This makes sense with a solar camera. So you can still use the cameras in temporary locations but you will need use the camera upright, build a little stand, and use the included mounting bracket.A security system with six solar, wireless, pan-tilt-zoom cameras that have functions like artificial subject surveillance and tracking, camera to camera hand-off, audio recording, intruder lights and alarms, low LUX color; a home base server with local storage, app movement notifications, and network configuration, this is really good. Having a system that does not require a monthly subscription cost is even better. This is a 5-star product.

Title: A Fully-Featured, Reliable Camera System That Delivers on Every Front
Review: After testing this AOSU 6-Camera Outdoor Kit with the 2nd Gen Homebase, I’m thoroughly impressed with the level of performance, ease of use, and build quality. From setup to everyday use, it’s clear this system was thoughtfully designed for people who need reliable, full-coverage security without hassle.Installation was genuinely simple—each camera mounted easily with the included hardware, and the app walked me through pairing and setup without a hitch. The Homebase acts as the secure hub, managing the cameras on their own private wireless channel, and everything connects through the app with surprisingly little effort.Once installed, the performance speaks for itself. Each camera provides full 360° pan and tilt coverage, with responsive human tracking that smoothly follows movement. I’ve tested it across a mix of spaces—driveway, entryway, garage—and the tracking accuracy is outstanding. The 5MP image clarity is sharp and detailed, and night vision still captures color and clear movement even in near-total darkness. One of my favorite features is how event detection works across all cameras simultaneously—if motion is detected in one zone, the others can begin recording too, which creates a seamless view of what’s happening. Combined with the app’s ability to view up to four camera feeds at once, you get an impressive sense of coverage and control.Another standout feature is the solar charging—as long as the cameras get a couple hours of sunlight a day, they stay at full battery. I’ve been monitoring several for over two weeks now and haven’t had to worry about battery life or recharging once. Even under overcast conditions, the panels keep up.The local storage on the Homebase is another major advantage. Footage is securely stored without needing any subscription, and the app gives you easy access to event logs, live feeds, and custom alerts. The ability to adjust detection zones and sensitivity per camera adds a lot of flexibility, especially for unique setups like wooded driveways or side gates.Altogether, this feels like a high-performance system that’s made for long-term use. It’s not just smart—it’s practical, durable, and user-friendly. If you’re looking to secure multiple areas of your property with minimal maintenance and maximum visibility, this setup absolutely delivers.
