Customers say
Customers find the chairs well-constructed with good quality wood and appreciate their clean satin finish that matches table tones. They are easy to assemble, taking about 10 minutes, and customers find them comfortable and good value for money. The size receives mixed feedback – while some say they’re perfect for kitchen tables, others find them too small. The hardware availability is also mixed, with some customers receiving all necessary parts while others report missing screws.

Title: Easy Assembly, Excellent Quality, Wonderful design.
Review: I purchased these 2-chairs along with a matching 42-inch round “kitchenette” table, all from the Winsome Wood folks. The table has not yet arrived. I held off buying 4-chairs for a couple of reasons: First, I was not sure if the quality of the table or chairs warranted getting 4-chairs. Second, until I see the table, which has not yet arrived, I won’t know if I can comfortably fit them all in my kitchen area. The chairs are all solid wood – no veneers – no plywood. The back of the chairs is a smart design, where by the legs are integrated into the back. Makes the chairs more sturdy. There are gliders already placed in the feet of the chairs. There are several supporting side-braces.A few words of advice for assembly: The instructions are mostly pictorial in nature, obviously trying to accomplish with “pictures” rather than 1000-words. They mostly met their goal. I figured it out. Here is what I did that made it easier – which is not clear from the drawings: Each brass bolt, requires a split washer, then a flat washer. Then you put the long, medium, or short bolt into the appropriate hole.If you put all the split washers on their bolts, then the flat washers, the diagrams become far easier to understand.Next, I GLUED the holes and dowels. It is NOT called for, but; I did it anyway. I also put some glue on the corners where the front legs meet the seat of the chair. You don’t need a LOT. A thin layer on each “side” where they will meet, or in the hole, and on the end of the supporting dowel. I applied these thin layers of wood glue using q-tips.You can tighten the 6-bolts that hold the seat to the back legs and back of the chairs “right away”. Do not over tighten them – they are BRASS. That means they are soft. A Snug tighten is all you need at first. When putting the the other bolts in for the front legs, be sure to ONLY tighten them by hand w/o the hex key wrench, and leave, literally, some “wiggle” room. You’ll need this to get the supporting dowels in correctly.I recommend you put the long end of the hex-key wrenches into the bolts and hold onto the short ends. It will help you avoid over tightening. And, when you hear the wood “CREEK”, or the bolt suddenly gets HARD TO TURN, at the end of a turn, stop! Turn it maybe 1/4-to-1/2-turn more, and then you’re done. When ALL the bolts are tight, and the chair seems fully assembled, then take the wrench to each bolt once more, to make sure they are all “creek” tight. Finally, using a piece of duct tape, I taped one of the wrenches under the seat of one of the chairs, for future need for re-tightening – if it is ever needed. If the table is as well designed, and of the same quality, my opinion is, for the money, you cannot go wrong. I got the table, and 2-chairs, from PRIME, for $250-including all taxes and shipping. A perfect example of superior Amazon Prime quality products.

Title: Good quality chairs that are easy to put together
Review: Nice quality chairs that were easy to put together even for someone who doesn’t do this often. Much more stable and better quality than I expected! They look good with my farmhouse table chairs I had already.

Title: Good quality.
Review: Good quality, good price. Real wood. Easy to put together. The only complaint I’d say is screwing in the cross braces broke through the braces twice. Probably an expanded entry hole would help guide the screw at the right angle. Other than that try to put the screw in at a more parallel angle to the brace. I’m pleased with the purchase.

Title: assembly: fussy & nightmare-ish
Review: For our package of 2 chairs…chair #1 went together OK – fussy but not badchair #2 was a misfit nightmare – lots of sanding for side dowels and their openingsResult is handsome and strong, however.

Title: solid made chairs.
Review: I bought the table that goes with these chairs last year and already had couple of chairs but wanted chairs that match. good sturdy made solid wood chairs that are easy to assemble if you take the time to really look at the pictures in the instructions as that will help a lot. i will say like others not to tighten all the screws & bolts all the way until all the parts are together. check the pics. & part #’s on bolts in pics. as there are no words in instructions. i had extra bolts left for each chair once i was finished. my mistake i used a longer bolt on one front leg and cracked the corner out and had to wood glue back & clamp to leave overnight before i could finish but it glued back flush. there mistake was all the wood cross dowels were drilled but not all the way thru & i had to finish drilling all of them out before i could finish. once together both the chairs are sturdy with no wobble & are balanced. i have assembled a lot of things over the years & there always seems to be a bolt hole or two unfinished so that’s not new to me but i can see how that might not be the case for someone with no drill – screwdriver – rubber mallet or woodworking clamps as that’s what i needed & used.

Review: Excellent, solid kitchen chairs at a reasonable price. Easy to assemble. As another reviewer noted, it helps to have a rubber mallet handy, and I highly recommend assembling them with glue, although it is not required. I used Gorilla construction adhesive, rather than wood glue, as it fills gaps better and is easy to clean up squeeze-out with a damp rag. I also changed the floor bumpers on the legs – they are made of hard plastic, and I was concerned they might mark hardwood floors. It was easy to remove them and replace them with SuperSlider pads. Good looking, solid chairs.

Review: Great chairs and good quality. Easy to put together. Goes great with the small table that is from the same company. My Mum and I are small people 5’2 and with 160 lbs and I think it’s best for little people like us. Tall and really heavy folks might find them a tad small. My partner who is 6′ and 150 sits on them fine but they aren’t the large chairs. Meant for hobbits from the shire like Mum and I

Review: I highly recommend a rubber mallet for getting the rails in as well as a power drill for putting the screws in. Nice and sturdy. Mine were quite a bit dusty inside the packaging which is fine. A bit if an odor of the stain but went away quickly.
