Customers say
Customers find the USB switch has excellent build quality, is convenient to use, and is physically smaller than alternatives. However, the functionality and keyboard connectivity receive mixed feedback – while some report reliable operation, others mention it doesn’t work right from the start and the keyboard disconnects often. Moreover, the power supply is problematic, with customers reporting issues delivering power to keyboards and devices failing after about a month of use. Additionally, the USB cables are on the shorter side, and customers consider the product’s value for money negative.

Title: Rock solid device
Review: This is a must have for anyone who works remote, with multiple laptops and a home computer on a single desk. Essentially I have 4 workstations that share 4 main monitors and the 3 laptop monitors (7 total) with at least a dual monitor config on everything and a triple config on my main machine. This handy little switch ensures my desk has 1 keyboard and 1 mouse using a combo receiver, as well my headset receiver follows any of the workstations in use flawlessly. I also use a port for charging devices with 1 port left for future use!If I recall, it came with all the cables needed to hook it right up, easy peezee.in total, its been a rock solid, zero maintenance device for quite a while now and does exactly what it supposed to.

Title: Works great! Don’t forget to unmount…
Review: Works very well switching a mouse and keyboard between Windows and Linux systems. I wasn’t going to use the little remote pad, but it is too convenient and also nice and compact. Just remember to cleanly unmount your thumb drive if you have one plugged into the box before switching systems! Now to get a nice single keyboard since multiple cheap ones are no longer needed.

Title: works well, even with backlit gaming keyboards
Review: Does its job well even with my rgb backlit gaming keyboard and mouse. Other switches I have used in the past just didn’t work like this one does. I took off a star because it uses strange USB-A to USB-A cables. Who knows if you can get any more if they fail? Standard usb cables don’t have the same shape on both ends like these ones do. It works though, so here’s hoping I never need to replace one of those cables.

Title: Buy Something Else
Review: Fails to delivery on a standard use case. Avoid product. This is unable to deliver enough power to operate typical USB devices; in my case, a keyboard, a mouse, and camera, and a microphone.I tested the device separately and examined it for any defects or malfunctions and it appears to be fine, the product as designed is simply unable to actually operate many USB 3.0 devices. In my testing, I found it was unable to even power a single USB camera with nothing else plugged in to it. In further testing it seemed some devices would be partially functional, like dim or flickering RGB on a keyboard or mouse. There appears to be a very lower power ceiling for what this unit is capable of, a ceiling ignorant to the actual USB 3.0 standard and what this product claims to be capable of.I have reverted back to my previous 2 computer 4 port USB 3.0 KVM which cost me less than half this product did.I highly suggest purchasing any other comparable product in this space that is not this product, as I simply cannot fathom a use case for this where it works as stated, let alone one which justifies it’s rather expensive $45 price tag.

Title: LED’s nearly invisible, remote control port button map counter-clockwise to right-to-left, but works
Review: TL;DR (see below for more details)Pros:- Switch works for me without power port plugged in.- Smaller than competing eKL USB 3.0 + USB audio switch (less visible that with my Kceve USB 2? 4×4 swtich, also sold by Amazon)- More reliable (in my hour of use) than competing eKL USB 3.0 + USB audio switch.Cons:- Port select LED’s barely visible.- Weird button layout for wired remote, but who uses the wired remote anyway?Details:I’ve had this product plugged in for about an hour. So far, product works much better for me than the eKL 4×4 + USB audio jack switch at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCS344YZ , which gets into a glitch on my computer about every 15 minutes, not only temporarily disconnecting the devices connected through the switch but also somehow stopping a USB keyboard and USB mouse not connected from working until I unplug the eKL switch and plug it back in.In comparison, this device is physically smaller and seems to be working reliably. So, definitely, get this switch rather than that eKL product if you’re making that comparison. Now let’s get back to this switch. There are just a couple of negatives I should mention. At first, it looked like there were no LED’s indicating which computer was selected, but, if I look a sufficiently oblique, angle, maybe 30 degrees from horizontal, I see a faint green glow around part of the button corresponding to which switch is connected. This is even less than with the Kceve USB 2(?) 4×4 switch that I also have. I’d probably have been willing to spend a copule of more dollars to roll the dice on a different product in that hopes that it’s LED’s were a bit more visible, but I think I’ll live with it and keep this switch. If you are going to use the wired remote, there is another very minor negative I’ll mention. The buttons on the remote, printed in black on black, have the 2×2 array of button arrange according to the following counterclockwise numbering:1 42 3If that isn’t weird enough, it turns out that those numbers corresponding to numbering the buttons on the switch right to left, relative to the orientation of the printed logo on the switch. Fortunately, these numbers are not printed on the switch, so you don’t have to try to map counterclocks to right-to-left to figure out what button to press. Maybe you can invient your own numbering, given that the black-on-black raised print numerals are hard enough to read. Anyhow, I wasn’t planning to use the wired remote, so it’s not a problem for me.

Title: Decent KVM
Review: I was initially sent the wrong product. They sent me the one with the weird tribal tattoo on it that only has 2 usb ports. I started the return and got the correct one. So far so good Ive got this plugged into two laptops and one PC in order to use my keyboard, mouse and headset across all three. No issues at all, I was worried because my mouse and headset are logitech and they have their own software [ logitech g hub ] that it wouldn’t recognize them because they were not pugged in directly to the computers but everything works great. This unit is also powered, which is good because too many USBs in one port can sometimes draw more power than the port can handle. The kvm is compact and the ease of use makes it a great addition to my work from home battle station.I will add , that I wish instead of being so slim, it was twice as tall, so that both output and input could go in the rear, just to give it a cleaner look and leave just the switching buttons .

Review: I set this up to share a keyboard and a mouse between a macbook, laptop and my desktop and it’s been working great after a few days of use. The one-click switch is very convenient, especially using the included desktop controller which is how I am mainly using it as I can keep the USB switcher tucked away to make everything look more tidy. Setup was plug and play, and data transfer speeds have been solid for external hard drives too, though I recommend making sure to unmount the external drive before switching computers.I am really happy with the fact that it came with all the USB cables I needed. There are 5 cables included plus the switch controller, four being USB-A to USB-A/C to connect the computers, and one of them being a USB-A to USB-C for the USB 5v port which helps power any demanding peripherals, no adapter was included which is fine since I have plenty on hand. When switching between devices there was barely any lag, it takes a second or two and I’m ready to use my peripherals, it also gives off a green light to show you which computer it’s connected to. Overall, I am very happy with how well this has been working betweens my devices and it’s cut down on wasted time by allowing me to focus on one keyboard and mouse.
