Title: Good Fit and Clearance
Review: So much easier to grip the camera and it has a foam type tape at all contact points to avoid marring the camera finish. The design gives sufficient clearance for me to press the rear buttons and turn the knobs at the top of the camera.The part that goes into the hot shoe is firm so not likely that it would slip off unless you want to take it off deliberately.It’s a keeper

Title: Pleased with the Product
Review: I am always a stickler for the added grip that a thump grip can offer for a smaller camera and I am extremely pleased with this one. I really like that it has rubberized padding on the bottom to protect the hotshoe contacts, and it does ot obstruct use of any of the buttons. I also very much appreciate the finish, as it perfectly matches the finish of the camera itself. If it were not for the JJC logo, you would not be able to tell it was not an OEM product.

Review: For those wanting a better grip on their Leica D-Lux 8, this thumb grip is ideal. It fits perfectly and does not block the function buttons on the back of the camera. Really helps with the ergonomics of the camera which can feel small in your hands.

Title: Well Made, But it Blocks Thumb Access to the Camera’s Thumbwheel.
Review: Generally a poor design because the thumb rest itself blocks you thumbs access to the camera’s Thumbwheel. Figure that one out. I found another brand here on Amazon that actually solves this problem.A problem this basic and obvious would normally earn a single star, but I added a star for the build quality — especially the rubber pads that are properly mounted in recesses and which help the Thumbs Up stay in place. But good build quality on a product that functions poorly isn’t much to brag about. This product should be redesigned.This will be returned.

Title: Great fit and design for thumb rest and access to controls
Review: I was surprised by how much I liked this thumb grip. I’m usually a snob to Match Technical brand, but since they don’t make a specific model for the D-Lux 8, I decided to give this one a try. It really impressed me with fit and finish, and the overall design of how your thumb rests on the grip and still has access to the nearby function buttons.
