Title: Good value as it does the same as others that …
Review: I purchased this for my 2008 Honda GL1800 GoldWing without NAVI, and my install and other comments are based on this bike.Good value as it does the same as others that are priced higher, directly plugs in to the bike, and none I found have a ‘random’ or ‘shuffle’ mode so no reason to spend more.Fairly easy to install and operate, if you have a little mechanical and computer skills. Youtube is your friend for installing this item, however the videos I found were for installing different brands. As a couple videos show, unscrew the left top trunk screw and unhook the side. Use a small round file to make room for the cable, sneak it down to the groove you made. Try to have the cable down as far as you can because the cable provides little extra length. The size of the cable ends will not let you drill a hole, as it would be huge. Re-hooking the trunk side after you route the cable is a challenge. I used Velcro tape to attach the unit to the inside left part of the bag so I can move it if needed. The AUX. port will allow you to hook to your smart phone in the trunk, but same as the left fairing pocket, you have to use the touch screen to control it.Unit does not come with a USB thumb drive or other media cards. I used a blank USB thumb drive I had, opened a few files on it, and loaded some songs on each. To change songs in a file just click up or down on the Tune/Disc button, to change files (discs) just hold it slightly longer and it will change files. I have mine set to ‘beep’ so when I hear the second beep I let off. Don’t expect it to do change songs or discs quickly, as it takes a few seconds after you release for it to start playing again; minor annoyance. Also, it does not read your file name, as I have “CD01” to “CD04” on my USB drive, but the readout on my dash shows them as “CD04” “CD05” “CD07” “CD09”. They are in the correct order, as are the songs on them.I have not attempted to see what happens if I push the “A.SEL”. Not wanting to deal with it, I cut a small section of clear plastic from a peanut jar, folded it in half and inserted it on the bottom of the button. It keeps the button from being accidentally pressed by first letting you know what button it is (the one you don’t want to press), making it very hard to press, and at the same time it can’t fall into/under the button, is easy to remove if needed, and does not look bad the way I have it.Again, a fairly easy to install item if you have a little skill and if you take your time. For the sake a couple minor annoyances it does what I wanted: Play MY music and let me control it from the bike’s factory controls on the left side handlebar.Bill

Title: Loving this, money well spent, easy installation
Review: This thing is awesome. This was installed on a 2008 Honda goldwing gl1800. Plug and play. Sounds great and can control from my handle bars. Putting music on card might have been hardest part , which was easy also. No more plugging in mp3 player and trying to remember to shut it off after stopping.
