Title: RELIES ON HUB AND REMOTE SERVER, WHICH ISN”T RELIABLE! DO NOT BUY!!
Review: EDIT: These bulbs rely on a remote SENGLED server, which went down in late June 2025. This means I could not control the bulbs using Alexa or the Sengled app. This is totally unacceptable for many reasons. 1) nothing remote should have control over the lights in my house! 2) That server better be bullet proof, and it wasn’t. 3) When the server recovered, my lights still could not be controlled by either. I tried to reboot the hub. No luck. I deleted the bulbs from the app and tried to add them again by rapidly turning off/on the light switch 10+ times. Still no luck. Reading my review from when I got them, I see I had to scan them to be learned by the app.Screw that. I’m buying other brand bulbs that do not rely on a hub and external server. Never ever buying Sengled stuff again.I don’t know how long the server was down. Amazon sent an email about the outage, but not the recovery. Bad on Amazon. And I assumed if the server recovered, asking Alexa to turn on the lights would work, so I didn’t try anything else. I think it was only a day or two.*** original review, which no longer applies, below ***I bought this pack of 4, and also bought a starter set of 2 bulbs with Hub and Echo, in a Cyber Monday deal. The main reason was a hard to reach switch controlling 3 bulbs. I’m using the 4th in the same room, on a different switch that I want to control differently. I had looked into buying a smart switch, but all the ones I found said they could be tough to fit in the box, and if I can avoid dealing with wiring, that’s fine with me. The drawback to this is that I can’t physically switch the bulbs on and off since if I happen to leave it off, I can’t have Alexa turn it back on. But I can control the 3 lights on the same switch independently if I have reason to dim them differently or have some on and some off.Pairing of the hub went easy, once I actually plugged in the ethernet cable all the way. It looks like you have to plug it in wired first, then you can go wireless after hub setup. For now I’m just leaving it wired. The hub is in a different room, about 40 feet away from the bulbs with a wall in between, no problem.Next, I climbed up on a counter, unscrewed the old bulb, and screwed in the new. That was a mistake. You have to scan the bulb first. Luckily I only did this with one.Make sure you give permission to the app for your camera and storage so it can scan each bulb. Otherwise you’ll be trying to read tiny letters, and trying to figure out if it’s a 0 or O.From there it’s pretty easy. Screw in the bulb, flip the switch on to give the bulb power (bulb will come on), and hit OK to pair the bulb. The bulbs flash two or three times, then a few seconds later are paired. You can pair multiple at once. You have to assign a “Scene”, or room the bulb is in. Then you individually name each bulb for Alexa to use, and have Alexa discover the devices. I’m not sure the real point of a Scene other than you can use the app to dim all the lights in the scene the same, or turn them all on or off. I actually find the different dimming levels useful, to make the one over my laptop dimmer, and one over a work area brighter. Alexa does not seem to let you control the entire scene–she will ask which device you want to control. Of course you can set up a group in Alexa, which I did for the set of 3 I want controlled together.Note that these lights don’t dim all that much. I still have incandescent lights in my living room that I can dim to almost nothing, and these don’t come close to that. But that are noticeably less than full. Fine with me for this application, but I probably won’t get a set for that living room. I guess I’d have to change out that switch anyway, since they don’t work with dimmer switches.I’m between a 4* and 5*, mostly due to setup not being really intuitive, but it wasn’t too bad, and I really like having Alexa control of these lights for a very reasonable price.

Title: Pretty Good w/ Home Assistant
Review: Decent smart bulb – white only – that Home Assistant found easily. Only got 4 stars ’cause the ‘On Level’ brightness control didn’t affect the the brightness when the bulb was turned back on though HA did make the On/Off button a slider too which did set the brightness. Haven’t put it in an automation yet so there’s still hope for the ‘On Level’ control. This is the 1st device where the ‘Identify’ control blinks the bulb a few times so it could be found easily.

Title: Best blubs out there
Review: I recently outfitted my entire house with about 40 Sengled Zigbee Smart Light Bulbs, connected through two hubs, and I am thoroughly impressed! These bulbs have completely transformed the lighting in my home.Installation: The setup process was a breeze. Linking the bulbs to the hubs was straightforward and hassle-free, which was a relief considering the number of bulbs I installed.Performance: Each bulb provides consistent and reliable performance. I have full control over the lighting in every room, from dimming to scheduling, all from my smartphone. The ability to customize scenes and schedules adds a whole new level of convenience.App Integration: The Sengled app is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to manage the settings for each bulb or group of bulbs. Integration with other smart home devices was also seamless, enhancing the overall smart home experience.Value for Money: Considering the quality, performance, and the number of features each bulb offers, these smart bulbs are definitely worth the investment. They not only add comfort and convenience but also help in reducing energy consumption with their efficiency.

Title: Great Price, Easy To Setup & Control
Review: Was looking for some reasonably priced Zigbee based bulbs to add to my Homeseer Home Automation controller and decided to give these a shot. Arrived quickly, well packaged, and a small setup sheet included. Will not be using the Sengled app or Alexa for control, but my Homeseer app on my phone and tablets along with it’s voice integration with Google Home.Fired up my Homeseer app and went into my Zigbee plugin to setup the bulb. Applied power to the bulb, was quickly found and configured by the Sonoff Zigbee stick. Gave the bulb a floor assignment, room, and a name and good to go. Quickly turns on or off or adjusts the brightness level with Homeseer or Google Home voice control. Nice and bright while only drawing 9 watts at full brightness. Looking forward to getting the rest of these set up in the house, highly recommended.

Title: Awesome Zigbee Lights for Home Assistant
Review: Great lights and the Zigbee integration with Home Assistant was a breeze, it picked them up right away. Even though they’re only 550 lumens, when you got 4 of them they’re BRIGHT. I dim them to about 75% most of the time. They grouped just fine with no problems and have a steady connection. Will get 4 more for the bedroom when I can.

Review: These bulbs are great, easy to set-up and easy to use. Takes less than 10 mins to name all the bulbs and set everything up Works with Alexa and google. You need to have a good quality Wi-Fi router with a strong signal or these will keep dropping every few days, but as long as its a good quality connection, it will work flawlessly

Review: There is nothing that I can say I don’t like 😁. These smart Zigbee bulbs are really easy to install and works pretty good with alexa, and the brightness is tremendous. And, even if it says it doesn’t work with dimmers, but with the help of Sengled home app you can change the brightness or dim the bulb to just 1% brightness.
