Title: This capacitor great for high current demands.
Review: This capacitor works great. I needed a 1 farad capacitor to help delivery very high current 12 volt pulses for starting a small jet engine on a bicycle. The volt meter built onto the capacitor is a great too! I can see how this would also work exceptionally well for car audio applications.

Title: It works!
Review: I have a nice sub amp in my UTV that has a fairly small battery and the amp would go into protect mode as the voltage sagged during almost every song. This 100% did the trick, the sub stays powered up and thumping at all times:)

Title: Gets the job done…
Review: As I suspected, my little 4-banger’s alternator just wasn’t providing enough juice to power my 1200w amplifier. It was impacting my vehicle’s performance as well as my subwoofers. Not any more! l can still see a tiny flicker in the headlights when it hits hard, so I assume this is best suited for systems 1000w or less, but I’m not going to complain because it’s a vast improvement. Side note, I thought the terminals had nuts, not bolts, so when I unscrewed it completely after the initial charge it got hung up and I dropped it. They are just long enough to connect the positive and negative terminals, FYI. After hearing “zzzzzzPOP!”, I thought for sure I had fried it but I hooked it back up and it charged up just fine.

Title: Did little if anything to help
Review: Was looking to find a capacitor for my car audio system install and chose this because the reviews were good, it was affordable, and looked nice.My system is a 500W monoblock amp pushing a 12in subwoofer. It was straight forward to installSeems like a good quality capacitor as far as the build goesIt doesn’t store enough power to keep my lights from dimming when at idle. You get what you pay for, may as well spend more and get something better.Edit: Seller reached out to me to try and help rectify the problem and they gave me a refund as well as suggested a higher farad cap which I’m going to try. Great customer service!Raising my stars up to 4 for now until I receive the new unit to test.

Title: Very heavy. Nice brackets.
Review: I’d like to have duel positive and negative posts on this – one for the feed, and one for the amps but alas, this will have to do. I think I will have a 1″ firring strip behind each mounting point to allow the power cable to pass behind the capacitor. Time will tell.

Title: Satisfied
Review: Put this in my Camry for my 2 kicker 12s. For a while the lights would dim and sometimes even turn off. This capacitor solved all of those issues. I was very pleased with the results as the speakers not only sound much better and more consistent, but I used my volt meter and checked availability voltage at the main battery with music all the way up and all accessories turned on, when the bass hit the voltage didn’t even flinch, stayed at 13 volts or above the entire time. Highly recommend for 1000w or less systems.

Title: Seems to work for my system
Review: I read the other reviews and many said that this cap was about 0.4f instead of 1.0f. Well I have to agree, I measured the time constant on discharge and came up with about 0.4f. So I think their advertising department was looking at the specs with rose colored glasses. For my system that’s probably good enough, I’m running a 600w system with a 1000w plug into the wall power supply. The 1000w supply is a switcher so it has pretty small output capacitors compared to a regular heavy 60 cycle supply. I don’t know how fast the switcher can respond to a large fast change in load current, especially with a long extension cord, so I figured this capacitor would help.If you need an actual 1.0f or bigger this is not what you want.

Title: Barely a flicker of the lights
Review: Have the 1 farad on a 1500 watt hifinics amp putting out exactly 750 Watson to my sub and lights barely have a noticeable dim. Seems way better than the 2 batteries I drained without it. Lol
