Title: Gorgeous espresso machine!
Review: Why did you pick this product vs others?:I waited for her to come back in stock!!! Bought for my new apartment and she is stunning!!! I adore the green color, love the retro design and enjoy the overall experience. Pro tip —when you’re getting it set up, there is a plastic piece beneath the water reservoir that you have to remove first in order for the water to filter through! I thought mine was broken at first, but eventually figured it out! Worth every penny! Looks so beautiful on my kitchen counter!Â

Title: Beautiful functional eye candy espresso machine
Review: I have to be honest and admit that I picked up this espresso machine simply because it’s green. I’m a bit of an artsy kind of girl and color espresso machines other than your standard black white stainless steel are very hard to find. This beautiful olive color is absolutely stunning and fits me to a T. While the color and design are aesthetically pleasing to my eye and fit in with my lifestyle I was pleasantly surprised at the functionality of this appliance. I am an artist and I was looking for something for my studio which is located in a shed at our backyard. I’m working on a Facebook client or when I have a client and who is commissioning a piece it is nice to be able to offer them some type of an espresso or coffee based beverage without running to the house to get the beverages prepared. Because I tend to work at many odd hours like a lot of artists it’s handy to have these items in my studio when I need them. While I have nowhere close to a professional barista this machine definitely makes me feel like I am slinging espresso at the local coffee shop. My husband has helped me set this up with a burr grinder and we have dialed in the perfect grind setting to pull the most delicious espresso shots I have ever tasted with the exception of the ones that come out of the really expensive machine in the house. I love that the water tank holds a lot if I don’t always have to stop in the middle of the process for refilling. Whether I’m making iced or hot drinks the espresso tastes great. I found the steam wand easier to operate than on the expensive machine I have inside. Machine is very simple and straightforward even though it has a beautiful LCD display. It’s definitely not intimidating. Wow we have owned our in-house espresso machine several years my husband does most of the making so I consider myself quite a bit of a beginner. This is very simple and straightforward I will have you an expert mode very quickly. The machine comes to temperature quickly and holds the correct temperature to get the espresso shot made. Definitely highly recommended for someone who wants a little bit of eye candy on their counter.

Title: Retro look for fresh coffee
Review: I love the look of this machine! I didn’t know at first if green would fit in my kitchen, but since everything I have is mostly silver or white, it actually gives it a nice splash of color without being overwhelming!Coffee:Wonderful! The last time I had non-filter coffee was when I lived with my parents, who had a nice Italian machine, and this one can definitely hold up in comparison!Ease of use:5 stars here! The switches are simple and intuitive and the milkfrother is easy to use. It even came with a little jug that fits perfectly underneath it!Now all I need to do is buy some smaller coffee cups, because my mug barely fits… but it is time for an upgrade anyway! Fancy cups to fit my fancy coffee maker 🙂

Title: Cute, and tasty espresso but with major functionality issues.
Review: I spent a lot of time researching machines in the $200-$300 price range. I admit that the green color held some sway, but as former barista/coffee shop manager- the review that itemized the dry pucks really helped me make the decision to try this machine.Pros: dry pucks and quality espresso, large water tank and size of the portafilter.Cons: the steam wand is a big issue-it does not have the necessary adjustment mechanism to remove a pitcher without spilling. The provided pitcher is very small (12oz) and even with only adding 8 oz of milk, it spills when removing the pitcher from beneath the wand. The auto brew switch does not have a one shot/two shot discernment. All of the water leaked out of the tank and all over the counter after a few uses. I cleaned it up and refilled the tank- if this happens again, I will be returning. Also, the provided tamper is not the same size as the portafilter- it is far smaller making an even tamp almost impossible- it is also a cheap plastic not metal as is advertised.Overall, the espresso quality is the sole reason that I didn’t immediately pack it up and return it. The return window is for a few more weeks and I may still end up returning it over the steam wand issue.UPDATE: I am returning this item because of the problems I am having. The water pump is now not functioning and the water tank has leaked all of the water onto the counter several times. It’s a bummer because the espresso is good and the foam turns out good even though the wand is janky and does not pull out far enough to get the tiny pitcher out without spilling. Super bummed, but I can’t justify keeping this machine.

Review: Because the NERETVA espresso machine is priced for first-time buyers, I wanted to test it out of the box without accessing my expensive grinders, using readily available grocery store pre-ground espresso coffee. The NERETVA made consistently good espresso with a thick crema and compared well with the espresso from my other machine, which cost ten times as much.Everything you need is included in the box, from a solid tamper to a stainless steel milk frothing pot. If you are new to espresso, there’s one accessory I’d suggest adding to guarantee consistent coffee every time, but it is not necessary. More on that below. The NERETVA impressed upon unboxing—or double unboxing. The interior product box is protected in a thick cardboard box to protect the unit when shipped. All interior items were well packed in foam, and no assembly was required.Usually, machines in the sub $500 range skimp on the peripherals, providing a thin plastic tamper that is useless and best tossed back in the box. The NERETVA tamper is a heavy metal unit that helps tamp your grounds correctly. The portafilter is all metal and solid. It comes with two baskets for single or double shots and a dosing ring. You rarely get a dosing ring with an espresso machine, and a dosing ring makes prepping your portafilter clean and easy. It will quickly become your favourite accessory. The portafilter is the industry standard 58mm. Espresso geeks will argue all day about the different-sized portafilters. All will work, but the 58mm is the easiest to use and maintain. Add-ons are easy to find. The machine’s exterior is metal and plastic, and there’s a cup warming shelf on the top that works. Most warming trays in this range are more wishful thinking than functional, but the NERETVA works. The NERETVA has an automatic pressure release via an overpressure valve, an important safety feature that is also crucial for the espresso’s taste. The front of the machine has a bright temperature and time display to monitor water temperature and time of pull. The 198F water temperature was accurate when measured via my laser thermometer. The controls are very industrial-looking metal toggle switches that have a tactile, loud click and remind me of the cockpit of my MG Mini. These toggles control whether the pour is manual or automatic and switch the steam wand on and off.I appreciate that the NERETVA gives both manual and automatic pours options. The automatic works well, but sometimes I want to control the pour time to make a caffè ristretto. (As a guy who had played with espresso for forty years, let me warn you that espresso is the gateway drug to drinking caffè ristrettos!) :-)The 15BAR pump can be monitored via the pressure meter mounted by the cup tray.I have an expensive grinder and always get a better cup of freshly ground coffee. But I tested the NERETVA with affordable preground supermarket coffee, feeling many first-time buyers would not have access to an expensive grinder. The NERETVA handled the supermarket grind perfectly, creating gooey, syrupy espresso with an acceptable crema and excellent mouthfeel and texture.I don’t drink milk coffee, but I did test the steam wand. It made silky hot milk with thin bubbles and a thick froth that worked well. If you are used to the milk foam you get from super-automatic espresso machines, you’ll be amazed at how much better steamed milk from a traditional steam wand is. This $300 machine makes better steamed milk than a $2000 super automatic. The stainless mug is calibrated on the interior, which is a nice touch.Cleanup is easy. The cup tray can be easily removed, and the machine’s smooth texture is easy to wipe down. When I received the machine, I had a question. I emailed the company, and the next day, I received an answer. The tech support was friendly and smart. And here’s a fun fact: Neretva is one of the largest rivers in the eastern part of the Adriatic basin. Feel free to use that at your next cocktail party! :-)In conclusion, I highly recommend the NERETVA machine. It’s a great introduction to making espresso-based drinks, and the build quality speaks well for longevity. At the start of this rambling review, I mentioned that I’d only suggest one peripheral to improve this machine’s usefulness. While not necessary, investing in a calibrated tamper will improve your espressos and allow you to dial in consistent depth and density. An inexpensive machine with a good puck will always beat a $7000 machine with a bad puck. The NERETVA costs slightly more than a month to buy an espresso-based drink at your trendy coffee shop. Experimenting with grinds and pressures is a rewarding and satisfying pastime.

Review: I’ve been into the espresso scene for a while now. I’ve used many budget friendly espresso machines and this is easily better than them. Which is shocking the machines I’ve used are from very popular brands like De’Longhi and Breville.Pro’s:PriceBuild QualityPressure GaugeFrotherComes with full kit58mm PortafilterCons (these are nitpicked and don’t normally come with a budget friendly machine):Doesn’t come with puck screen (most don’t)No grinderHigh learning curveOverall:I’ve been into the espresso scene for a while now. I’ve used many budget friendly espresso machines and this is easily better than them. Which is shocking because the machines I’ve used are from very popular brands like De’Longhi and Breville. This machine just does everything very well. My biggest complaint with a lot of machines is the frother. For some reason the frother is a button in a lot of mid range ($1000-1500) machines. This has a dial that controls the pressure a little bit. You can’t control the temperature unfortunately which most machines from this price range and $1000, can’t. This steam wand is wonderful though and made it really easy. The portafilter being 58mm is the perfect size in my opinion. You have so many options for accessories at 58mm.There’s really no flaws here. I had to really nitpick in the “cons” section to find something and it’s stuff that you don’t normally get in a budget friendly machine. Puck screens should always be used as it helps keep it clean. I strongly believe companies should be including one, even if it’s a cheap one. Also, a built in grinder rarely comes with budget friendly machines but that’s why it’s a higher learning curve. Getting the proper espresso grinds is VERY important to making the perfect shot and having to learn to do it yourself with a separate grinder adds to an already high learning curve. This machine is really good for the price and if you’re in the market for an espresso machine without spending the big bucks, this is definitely what I would recommend over the “name brand” options.

Review: Today, I’m thrilled to share my review of the, Neretva Espresso Machine which has genuinely exceeded my expectations. Despite its budget-friendly price, this machine comes loaded with high-quality accessories that set it apart.Right from the start, I was impressed that Neretva chose to include regular single and double Portafilter baskets, skipping the usual pressured types. The double basket holds 18 grams, offering a professional touch. The tamper is solid and a refreshing upgrade from the cheap plastic ones often bundled with affordable machines. Even more delightful is the surprise inclusion of a stainless steel frothing cup—kudos to Neretva for that thoughtful addition! The stainless steel Portafilter, at a commercial 58 mm size, though not E61 compatible, feels sturdy and well-made. Considering the price point, the quality of these components is outstanding. I’m truly amazed at the attention to detail in the included accessories. Now, onto the machine itself. It’s lightweight and easy to move, but you’ll need to hold it in place when attaching the Portafilter. The 1.8-liter water tank is impressively large, keeping you well-supplied throughout the day. The front display provides clear information on brew, steam, and water temperatures, plus a handy shot clock. I particularly love the 5-second pre-infusion, followed by a consistent 9-bar pressure—this feature alone blew me away for such an affordable machine. The retro-industrial toggle switches on the front add a charming aesthetic: ON/OFF, Manual Brew, Auto Brew, and a combo water/steam toggle. The steam/hot water knob, while only an on/off switch, functions well. Although I’d prefer adjustable brew and steam temperatures, I can’t fault it—this is a budget machine, after all. What truly stunned me was the inclusion of a pressure release valve or solenoid valve, ensuring clean, dry coffee pucks with no messy drips. Machines twice the price often lack this feature! The body combines plastic with stainless steel sheathing, contributing to its lightweight design.Brewing espresso and lattes is a breeze, especially once you dial in your grind. The machine handles fine grinds effortlessly, and my usual 1:2 recipe (18 grams in, 34-36 grams out in 25-28 seconds) produces consistently excellent results. The manometer helps maintain optimal pressure, making it easy to achieve café-quality coffee at home.Overall, I’m genuinely impressed. This machine delivers consistent, high-quality coffee on a budget. I confidently rate it 4.5/5 stars. The steam wand performs well, creating good microfoam, and the rapid 39-second heat-up time is a game-changer. For tea drinkers, hot water is instantly available.Minor flaws, like a small drip tray or a decorative warming tray, pale in comparison to the machine’s strengths. I’m excited to see where Neretva’s espresso line goes from here because this is an outstanding start. Highly recommended!

Review: Oh, the timing. Seems the doc won’t let me drink caffeine at this point, making my need for an Espresso machine suddenly plummet. So with that in mind, I’m not reviewing the finished result since I’m not personally drinking it, but rather the build quality, features and price point. That latter, by the way, is quite good, favorably comparable to a more mainstream brand name machine I picked up a year or two back. If you’re not entirely solid on making your own Espresso, this isn’t a bad option at all with that in mind. You’re not paying an arm and a leg.The build quality here is quite solid, and the features are all there, including a milk frother, but minus a grinder. Considering that you’re paying a good deal less for an entry level machine, the lack of a grinder isn’t a huge red flag. They’re also pretty cheap to pick up independently. This is also easy to clean/wipe down, and will fit right in with your other stainless steel appliances. The housing and other components are a mix of metal and plastic, with no cracks or signs of fatigue.Overall, this appears to be a very solid little unit, which I unfortunately no longer have a need for.

Review: This is an awesome little espresso machine. I’m a novice, so please keep that in mind when reading my review. I’ve broken down my review into sections.Build quality:The build quality of this machine is good; many parts of the enclosure are stainless steel with some chromed plastic pieces, mostly for trim. The toggle switches are solid and feel great. The portafilter holder is chromed cast metal; it’s heavy and feels good in the hand. It doesn’t take too much space on my counter, and I think it looks great.Operations:I read the manual several times before I attempted making my first espresso. I didn’t realize it was such a process and how much precision is required. My first attempt (see video) resulted in weak coffee; the manual has a section that addresses this and suggested my grinds were too coarse. I then did it twice more, each time with finer and finer grinds; my third attempt resulted in a decent tasting drink (see photo).I watched a few videos on how to use a milk steamer; my first attempt resulted in a watery mess. I tried it a second time and had better success. Results:The coffee I made turned out pretty good. For my taste, it was still a little weak, but it may have been the beans I got, or I may need to grind my beans even finer. I am happy with the results, but I’m positive I can do better, and I will keep at it until I get it perfect.Other:The manual is well written; it’s brief but has enough information for a novice like me to get going. I especially appreciated the section that covered how to resolve specific issues. From this experience, I’ve learned that espresso making is quite a bit of work, and I’ll have to approach this as a hobby and take pleasure in the process; otherwise, I’d feel the time and effort required is not worth the coffee you get in the end. Thankfully, I did enjoy the process and look forward to the challenges of improving. At the time of this review this machine is priced at $299.99 which, in my opinion is good value.
