Title: Perfect for a back-of-TV “hidden” mounting!
Review: This mini DVD player arrived a few days ago and, thus far, I am delighted with it. The video and audio are fine (including booming stereo through our new Vizio wall-mounted soundbar, by the way). Best of all, the installation I planned came out perfectly: I affixed three 1-1/4 inch metal brackets (a/k/a braces) to the lower rear of our wall-mounted flat-screen TV (using 3M brand heavy-duty mounting tape), and then I slid the DVD player onto the brackets, completely out of sight. Even though the DVD player is standing on its side, the unit plays DVDs and CDs perfectly (presumably because it locks the discs in at the center). I hooked up the power cord and the HDMI cable, also completely behind the TV. Now, when I want to play a movie or listen to a CD, I slide the unit out from behind the TV, insert the disc, close the lid, slide the unit back behind the TV, and then I use the remote control to begin playing the disc. Bottom line: my wife and I can now watch movies (or listen to audio CDs) on a DVD player that is completely hidden from sight, almost as though it is built into the TV. Looking at the wall, all you see is the TV and the soundbar — a very neat, uncluttered “presentation.” (Maybe I’ll post some photos.) And the price is remarkably low (no more than what one used to pay for a basic Walkman audiocassette player from a major manufacturer).

Title: DVD player works. Remote doesn’t.
Review: Nice little DVD player. Easy to set up, which is a good thing, because the user’s manual is useless. The biggest problem is the remote. It doesn’t work. Nothing. Nada. Fresh batteries. Nothing. Unplug and replug the player. Nothing. Sort of disappointing, but not unexpected.

Title: Great performance for not much money
Review: This was well worth it. It played the DVDs for a 6 week class without any issues. It has a small footprint. Be aware that you need to aim the remote directly to the location the buttons are located so that it receives the remote’s direction. Other than that, it is quite intuitive to use it. I would buy it again.

Title: Great for new Honda odysseys
Review: Excellent product at a great price. I purchased this for my Honda odyssey and we love it! It’s easy to set up with HDMI and the picture is so clear. You may need to play around with screen settings at first but so don’t panic if it doesn’t look right at first. Use the remote to adjust the screen size. The player is so compact that it fits right in the center console.

Title: Okay… for the most part
Review: It works. Sometimes it makes an incessant clicking noise and we just try to ignore it. Sometimes it wigs out and stops playing or freezes up, but it’s possible our DVDs have scratches. Either way, it wasn’t as solidly made as I hoped. But it has fulfilled its purpose. If the price is low enough, this DVD player is fine.
