Title: Has helped my senior IBD/diabetic cats
Review: I’ve been feeding my senior cats this food for a few years now, and have had good experiences with it. My cats have IBD and are bothered by chicken and corn and are randomly sensitive to other foods but this one seems to agree with them really well. Last year (2019) there were supply issues and I had to resort to other foods and one of my cats got sick. This food seems to be ok for carbs too and my diabetic cat’s glucose doesn’t rise too much on it. I’m trying to transition to the duck formula because it has a bit less phosphorous and my 18 year old girls have some early kidney issues, but this turkey formula has served them well now for years and I do recommend it. Every once in a while there are weird dark spots in the food that the company has said are vitamins not mixed in well… I hope that’s what they are. My cats have never got sick from it.

Title: Quality cat food for a cat with fish allergy!
Review: My cat really loves this food. It’s got a good consistency and is very juicy, which he very much appreciates. The formula seems to work very well for him, and the food has a very delicious taste, in my opinion. My cat is suffering from a fish allergy, and he does not like pork or beef, and chicken sometimes seems a bit too bland apparently, so I’m happy this product exists. And I’m glad it’s LID – less ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction (and read the labels of most other cat food: almost all of them will have tuna in them, so most of the regular food is out of the question for my cat).I’ve been buying this particular food for almost a year now, but this was my first purchase off of Amazon. The package arrived promptly and intact; no cans were missing. I know some mentioned they were sent 23 instead of 24 cans, but the cans are all shrink wrapped into one, so – my order was complete.I’ll definitely will purchase this again, and Prime makes it really easy and quick!

Title: Good product for cats with digestion problems
Review: We have a cat with some diet problems and this food helped a lot. I just wish it wasn’t quite as expensive as it is though compared to some of the other brands it is still reasonable.

Title: Works for my cats
Review: I have been ordering this food since last year after a search for limited ingredient canned turkey cat food. I have not had any problems with mold or dented cans as other reviewers have mentioned. Sometimes there is a darker brown “bottom” but it doesn’t look or smell burnt –perhaps cooked longer than an optimal amount of time but it’s not a big deal. My three cats (1 very finicky and 2 with ridiculously sensitive stomachs) like the food and have not had any problems with this brand. I always get turkey because I have read it is easier to digest than some other proteins. But I have read an embarrassing amount of “literature” about cat food and there are too many opinions to make decision-making easy or clear. And I probably will never get on the “make your own raw diet or you suck as a cat parent” bandwagon any time soon. I still look for limited ingredient options because you never know when a manufacturer will change their formulas and/or go out of business, but I like this option.

Title: Purrrrrrrfect for my kitty cat! She loves this!
Review: My 16 year old kitty has been eating Merrick’s Bistro pate canned cat food, she likes it.. I figured I would give the Limited Ingredient Diet a try and she dives right in and licks her bowl clean! 🙂 I like the fact that there is no unwanted ingredients, no grains and the #1 source of protein is deboned chicken!! This is perfect for cats with allergies and for kitties with sensitive stomachs, my cat hasn’t puked in a long time!! Plus it’s made in the USA!! #MAGA .. Thank you Merrick for making such great food for my kitty cat! My cat gives this 5 out of 5 stars!! I will order again!P.S. From reading the back of the cans, it looks like Merrick has taken the dried egg product out of the Limited Ingredient Diet line of food!! Awesome 🙂

Title: Caused struvite crystals
Review: So frustrating!I just spent $800 at an emergency vet after my male cat peed blood, with this food suspected as the culprit. His urine tested positive for struvite crystals (which can cause fatal blockages) and he now has to be on an expensive regimen of prescription food, painkillers, and antibiotics in case he has an associated infection. This happened one other time when he was younger after exclusively feeding him Wellness products. A cat specialist I saw recommended freakin Fancy Feast canned, saying it had been studied as one of the best balanced cat foods on the market. As soon as my kitty’s crystals have dissolved I’ll be going back to FF. You try to be the best cat parent with these premium foods but they haven’t worked out for my pets in my 14 years of cat ownership.

Title: Pets love it
Review: Merrick Limited Ingredient Turkey is about the only food my cat can eat because she has food allergies and I don’t need a prescription to buy it which is a bonus for me. Both my cats love it. I wish they packed the box better though (absolutely no packing material at all) because a few cans were dented during shipping which makes me worry about broken seals and spoiling food. Too expensive to lose cans. It’s happened once with a different company, literally had broken open cans. Other than the lack of packaging (probably Amazon?) the food is great.

Title: Great for allergies
Review: One of my Maine Coons has severe allergies. He can only have turkey or duck. So many other turkey formulas have some sort of fish oil added. He is highly allergic to fish! This does not have any fish added. He and myother Maine Coon love this food!
