Title: Opinions are Subjective
Review: Opinions are subjective so don’t judge until you watch yourself, but I personally thought it was a decent film. Not really a horror/slasher type of movie; it’s more suspense than anything but that’s what makes it good in my opinion. It really has you questioning on what will happen next and wanting to tune in to the very end. The acting was ok and the plot was decent. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a film that I know most would enjoy (if you’re into suspense). Give it a shot if you’re looking for something to watch

Title: DROP this movie into the garbage
Review: Even though ‘Drop’ revisits the celebrated 90’s thriller, it’s missing a crucial ingredient so prevalent in its predecessor’s recipe: edginess. With characters that are only one-dimensionally good or bad, and by not towing the line of good taste via taboo subject matter, ‘Drop’ earns its PG-13 rating (are teenagers actually interested in thirty somethings with baggage in a contained location?) and comes off bland.

Title: Not for me, better on paper, poorly executed.
Review: Lead actress is gorgeous. In a Michelle Pfeiffer kind of way. Except with freckles. I can’t believe I haven’t seen her in anything before. Both of the leads are actually great actors, I’ve seen Brendan Sklenar before, most recently in “it ends with us”. While it’s safe to say this is better than that movie, but not by much. I was surprised to read that these actors are 34 and 35, I would’ve guessed mid 40s. They look great, it’s not an insult – they just both emanate maturity. Must be the beard and the clothing.The movie piqued my interest and the overall production is decent enough, but there’s not enough to the story. Unbelievable fake technology, a ridiculous cliffhanger-esque scene in the third act, and a 90s style over the top villain aren’t enough to make it good bad, but not enough to make it good either. The tension is very run-of-the-mill and it doesn’t really pull you in. There’s a scene where she’s trying to avoid being seen by a villain in her house that just falls flat. When that kind of scene is done right, like in scream 2, where gale Weathers is creeping around the studio and hiding from ghost face, It’s unforgettable. You can check out a clip on YT if you’ve never seen it. Many ideas in this movie are similarly half-baked or executed just passingly, but they could’ve elevated this movie to cult status if done right. I do like that the protagonists date saves her life at one point. In most movies today the 113 lb woman would be saving a 220 lb man dangling from a building by lifting him up effortlessly with her otherworldly strength. I think the target audience for this movie is people who haven’t seen many movies. If you want to experience a thriller based around things like blind dates, air drops, ring cameras, and comically evil old men who exist to do bad things to young women while greedily accumulating wealth, this is for you.
