Title: Almost 10 years
Review: It’s been almost 10 years to the day I first bought this inverter just 2 weeks shy. It’s been used almost daily since. Only over the last few months has it given me any issues but has always remained working. Was used to charge my laptop and phones rather quickly. This inverter was amazing. Sadly it has given up the smoke. Will definitely buy from the dame brand.

Title: A technical 350W review.
Review: Awesome inverter.Packaging: Came in a fairly boring box, well packaged and wrapped.Build Quality: Seems very solid and well built. Has a nice weight to it. Seems like it can “take a hit”. AC plugs are tight as are the USB ports. High quality alligator clamps and wires. (I didn’t test the cigarette lighter). Love that it ha ring terminals so you can DIY your own wires and such.AC Inverter Usage: To test I went ahead and plugged in what I purchased a 400W inverter for. To run my 350W heat gun. I go to Burning Man and I bring the heat gun for shrink wrapping soldered wire. I connected volt meter to the terminals to watch the voltage as I did my load test. I plugged connected the ring terminals to the posts on the inverter, put the big alligator clips on my new flooded deep cycle 155Ah battery and switched it on. The fan came on instantly. It’s not too loud and seems like a quality fan. You can definitely hear it though. I then plugged in the heat gun and switched it on. The green light on the inverter didn’t dim or so much as flinch. The heat gun heated up just as fast as being plugged into mains. I watched the voltage drop from 13.6 or so (just took it off the charger) all the way down to about 12.1v under this load as I let the heat gun run for about 5 min. It stayed at 12.1v for the last min or so before I turned it off. Success! During the 5 min run time I think the fan slowed down a little bit in the inverter as it seemed like it spun back up a bit after I turned off the heat gun. I couldn’t hear the inverter fan while the heat gun was running. The air the fan pushed out of the inverter never got warm, and the bottom of the inverter also never got warm.USB usage: This was a big surprise for me. The inverter doesn not have to be powered on for the USB ports to work. This is a HUGE plus for me. However, since the USB ports are ready to go even when the inverter is switched off, this means that it will draw a little bit of power from the battery even when it’s not in use. This can be overcome with a high load switch or something. The unit has 4 USB ports. 2 of them are 2.1A one is “Auto” 0 to 2.1A and one is 1A. This totals 7.3A if they are all in use. This tells me that you can’t plug even 3 devices into the unit and expect them to all work. You can probably do 2x 2.1A devices, and something in the 1A port or something in the “Auto” port and they should all work. But 4 devices at once may not work at all or it might give a little trickle to the “Auto” port. Another nice surprise was that this was able to charge my 8″ Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2! This tablet is VERY picky about what it will charge off of. Oddly it would only charge the tablet off the “Auto” port. None of the other ones worked. My smart phone however didn’t care what port it plugged into. They all would charge it.Bottom line, if you are looking for a inverter with USB ports that can run without the inverter being on, and at least a solid 350W of AC power, this one seems like the one to get. I think it’s also wrapped up in an attractive and well built little box.A few notes: The USB ports also worked while the inverter was powered on. With my phone plugged into the 2.1A port sometimes when I plugged the tablet in to another port the phone would stop charging for a split second and then start again. I didn’t try the USB ports while I had the heat gun running, but I would imagine it wouldn’t be a problem. As long as the power source can handle the load. Thanks for reading. I hope you find this review helpful.

Title: Nice
Review: I just got it, so I don’t have months of experience with it yet. But it’s built like a tank, runs cool under my use so far (100W via the car’s power port), and fits in a glove compartment. This the first Chinese product I can remember buying in ages that didn’t have me wincing as soon as I opened the box.One caveat. I fired up a 75W incandescent bulb with it. I got what I expected – a little less light than usual, and a faint whine from the filament. This thing isn’t putting out a sine wave (unlikely anything in this price range does), and there are devices, like incandescent bulbs, that notice. Motors will as well. Electronics, at least modern stuff, will not have a problem. From the whine I’m going to guess this is a three step modified sine wave, which is what you see in most inverters for common commercial use. You probably don’t care, and if you do you know when you need a pure-sine device and know you’ll be spending extra for it. For everyone else, I might not recommend hooking up old style vacuum tube radios, or motors that need to be exact about speeds, to this thing. If you want to run anything much over 100W, you car’s output power port probably isn’t up to the task. The unit comes with battery clips you can attach, and then you can get a full 400W from it.2 AC outlets and 4 USB ports should mean that even on long family car trips, no one’s cell phone or laptop needs to run dry.NOTE: KNOW YOUR WATTAGE. This thing might power a popcorn maker (250W) but will not run a coffeemaker (often over 800W). It should run a dremel, but forget a large drill. Be realistic in your expectations.

Review: Took this camping with me,and I have to say it’s a great product. Yes, the fans go on and you can hear it but for what you’re getting (AC power in the middle of flipping no where) it’s pretty fricking worth it!Little story and safety lesson for everyone else though. I’m an Electrician but my girlfriend isn’t. So when you get the inverter it comes with 2 poles, one for + and one for -, they are black and red respectively. You basically just hook the leads on and tighten down the colored(plastic) nut so it keeps the connection solid. Black to black, red to red. I stupidly put the inverter back and I switched the colored nuts to red being on the black pole, and the black being on the red pole. This makes the path electricity go an opposite way, which is bad.Anyways, it tells you which pole is which if you just look at the thing but my girlfriend just took it at face value and put the leads on wrong(which she thought was right) and thankfully the fuses blew saving my battery.Lesson learned : Put everything back the way you found it so the next person doesnt make a silly mistake. But also, watch what you’re doing. This is not a toy. Electricity is dangerous and you should respect it.Great product, we used it to power our laptop at night to watch movies. :)Tip : Bring extra 30A fuses incase you make a mistake! It’s better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them.
