The stand up ones with the various movable lights on top always go bad for me within a couple months, so I’m very pleased with how long this one lasted! Title: Great Lights For Snake Enclosures with Live Plants
Review: These LED light strips feel a little bit flimsy initially but they are standing up to the moisture and daily use in my set up. Plus they are super light weight and easy to mount with a small bit of double sided nano tape (I prefer nano tape when used in moist environments). The light intensity is adjustable and they have built in timers.I use these in all of my snake enclosures, I mount them inside onto the ceiling. They’re so light, when mounted properly to clean dry surface with nano tape, they won’t ever fall down… Not even in 80-90% humidity. And even if they do come crashing down, each strip of light is like a boba straw, I don’t have to worry about them injuring my animals.They don’t have the UVB waves that certain reptile needs, do these won’t replace a dedicated UVB emitting light. But my snakes are happy and the air and tropical plants I use to decorate their enclosures are growing/flowing fabulously.

Review: Bought a pack of two (pairs) of these lights. They’re as bright as I was expecting for this size/price, and fine for what I need. Come with a range of fixings, and even a couple of USB mains power adapters.I’d hoped that given the stated size of these (42cm) I could somehow fix them into the top of an IKEA ÅKERBÄR mini greenhouse that I have a few small houseplants in (to protect them from my plant-murdering cat). Complete win! The lights have little screw lugs at each end, perfectly spaced to simply slot under the metal clips holding greenhouse perspex panels in place. So a pair of lights can be held in place with no fixings at all – I need to train the cables a bit, but they look great and will give my ropey-looking plants a better chance of survival in my dark, north-facing study.Will try using the second pair to start off some seedlings.The only minor annoyance: as I think others have mentioned, there’s an integrated timer/controller unit, so these can’t be left set to simply turn on when the external power switches on. This means you can’t use a timer or smart plug to control daily on/off times for them, which would have been awesome.Still giving them 5* as they otherwise work great, and I lucked out with fixing them into the mini greenhouse.

Review: I have a plan to build some custom shelving for plants for a room with no windows so I want to incorporate plant lights in the design. I spent a lot of time searching for out-of-the-box options, but came up empty, largely because one of my criteria was white rather than pink light. I was working on designing my own strip LED solution from scratch when I finally came across this product. The six-strip model is exactly what I was looking for, with long enough cables that I can divide the strips across multiple shelves, and it was priced much lower than building my own solution from scratch would have been. The light intensity and coiour were exactly what I was looking for, and I’m very pleased that the timer includes a 16-hour-on option given that this will be the only source of light for these plants.
