Title: Supported a new sony headset on an ancient Win7x64 T60.
Review: Why did you pick this product vs others?:I needed a dongle that would support a bluetooth headset on an elderly IBM T60 running Win 7×64. The ones that worked with a similar machine running Win 7×32 didn’t have driver support for 64 bit. Bluetooth headsets on Window 7 can be a pain in the neck to get going under the best of circumstances; this dongle went in and, aside from not being able to get the volume control working on the T60 end – requiring use of the controls on the headset, worked. It gets five stars because it worked, compared to the onboard chip and two other dongles that drove me up the wall for a week, playing with multiple drivers sets, configurations and various voodoo incantations from the ‘net. As an aside… at least one application , VLC, does do volume control to the headset.

Review: The most important thing to note here is that this version is Low Energy Bluetooth.What is Low Energy? Well it’s a Bluetooth receiver designed specifically to receive signals from Low Energy Devices. Many devices (cell phones, heart rate monitors, proximity sensors, fitness devices, etc.) have strict guidelines with power consumption and therefore use BLE.Both regular (Classic) Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy can scan for other Bluetooth devices, query the local Bluetooth adapter for paired Bluetooth devices, establish RFCOMM channels, connect to other devices through service discovery, transfer data to and from other devices, and manage multiple connections.Classic Bluetooth is the right choice for more battery-intensive operations, which include streaming and communicating between Android devices. For Bluetooth devices with low power requirements, those using Android 4.3 with application programming interface of 18 (API 18) supports Bluetooth Low Energy. But all the technical mumbo jumbo aside, make sure you select the correct type of Bluetooth Receiver for your requirement.If you want to move mass amounts of data (like streaming video), regular Bluetooth is better.If you have low energy devices that use API 18, you’ll need a Low Energy Bluetooth receiver like this one.Functionally, there’s not much to these. Review: Always used with homebuilt computers using ASUS motherboards, both ~10 years old and newly released. I use them to connect with my single hearing aid (a Costco KS9).My ‘puter itself has no BT radio. Pop this into a USB 2.0 port, and now it does. SETTINGS>DEVICES>BLUETOOTH gets you to the connection process. I’ve connected a BT mouse And my hearing aide.I don’t normally use BT (it can be used for an amazing number of applications, from remote speakers to file transfer) because most of the time I have to fight with it. On a mac, the process is a little smoother than it is on Windows, or so it seems to me.But if you need BT, this is a usable, inexpensive “radio” that can be popped into a USB 2.0 (or 3.0?) and w10 sees it without having to install drivers.

Title: INSTALLED DRIVER DOESN’T UNINSTALL!
Review: I ordered this product expecting to simply connect some headphones to my computer, what I got instead was a GIGANTIC HEADACHE! Part of my problem was my fault, I accidentally installed the driver on the CD but in trying to uninstall said driver I kept getting the window in the picture I provided. It wants me to locate a file that it didn’t install with the CD, I’ve searched for hours how to get rid of the problem (application called: CSR Harmony Wireless Software Stack) and have made to progress in removing it. No doubt the CD should come with an easy to access uninstall that just removes the thing in its entirety. I’ve tried using application specialized for removing other applications and going into program and features and still no dice. this has got me very mad and frustrated so to anyone reading this who is thinking or have bought this product already, IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 8 OR ABOVE DO NOT, AND I REPEAT DO NOT INSTALL THE DRIVER ON THE CD. DO NOT EVEN TAKE THE CD OUT OF ITS PACKAGING IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME YOU USE THIS PRODUCT and of course if I hadn’t installed the driver this review wouldn’t exist I’m sure the product works great but this is not okay for one thing to make the product unusable. Post driver installation the audio is just gross and bad quality, I actually did get to try it before installing the driver so idiotically, IT SOUNDED GREAT, I wish I could go back in time to undo the great error I’ve made. So, in conclusion, I’ve rated this on my personal experience with the product which was a very poor one, to be honest, so please learn from my mistake and don’t install that damned driver if you have windows 8 or above this will be my last warning.

Title: Great cheap solution!
Review: I recently built my first gaming PC and after assembly, realized that it did not have Bluetooth so I could not use my console controllers or my sound bar with it. Enter this little gem of a solution. The price is great, it gives good full Bluetooth signal and connects fast and easily to all my peripherals and devices. I’ve had this device for a few months and have had zero performance issues and I love the simple plug n play design. It has a low energy footprint and takes up a USB slot in the back where it is out of sight. Definitely a good purchase and I do not regret it. I hope this review helps you with your purchasing decision!

Review: Very easy to install and connect with bluetooth devices.I have plugged this into my work PC computer box in order to use my Mac keyboard and mouse that only connects through bluetooth.Everything works great!Note: if you are used to the Mac keyboard, note that if synchronized with a PC, you need to think about the keys. Command doesn’t work .
