Title: Dead on arrival. Twice.
Review: My first attempt at buying a replacement for my beloved X-box was met with immediate heartbreak as I couldn’t get the disc drive to even open. I contacted Amazon and was offered a replacement. I was upset but I understood that with refurbished items, you sometimes have a dud. The replacement arrived within days and at first seemed much better. It actually opened! Twice. After playing one game for several days, I decided to change games and it wouldn’t open. I eventually managed to get my disc out after several minutes of trying, but I didn’t quite trust it, so I allowed the device to close without a disc. I’m glad I did, because it never opened again. This time when I contacted Amazon I was only offered a refund. I will of course take my money and run. The fact that it was the exact same part that failed twice in a row leads me to believe that their quality control is seriously lacking. I will never purchase another item from this seller.

Review: Red ring of death.They’re okay. At least they gave me a full refund and a free return label. Just make sure you open it and check right away so you can return it if it doesn’t work.

Title: Spend a little extra and get a newer model
Review: I got this for my son and he played it a total of 3 times before it went out of commission with the red ring of death, which is what this early model of the 360 was infamous for. I should have known better but the picture (and maybe I’m just blind) looks like it’s one of the updated models with the silver tray…it’s not. I returned this one and replaced it with one of the black slim consoles. That one works great and my kid couldn’t be happier with it. Also, I got it for only like $5 more.
