Review: MINIX NGC-NR660 is a small and cute little mini PC that packs a punch for its size. The AMD Ryzen 5 6600H (6 cores, 12 threads) and Radeon 660M graphics handles everyday computing, office work, streaming, and even some light gaming.Out of the box, you get 16GB of fast DDR5 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD, both of which are upgradeable-there’s two M.2 slot for storage and the two it has does 4x NVMe speeds. The RAM slots WILL support 96GB. I tried it with my laptop ram from another unit and it recognized both of them at 4800.Connectivity is pretty good: you get WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, two 2.5G Ethernet ports, USB4 (up to 40Gbps, supporting external GPUs), HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and plenty of USB ports. Triple monitor setups are possible, and the system supports dual 4K@60Hz displays smoothly.One thing that is IRRITATING to me is that the USB4 port is in the FRONT. If you have a front port, you should also have a matching back port because if you’re using an eGPU or Dock, you’ll always have something plugged into it and that’s annoying when you’re trying to have a nice small clean setup.Performance is fast for productivity, web browsing, and media playback. It runs Windows 11 Pro out of the box but is also compatible with Linux. The cooling system does a good job-fans are quiet during normal use, though you’ll hear them under heavy load. Thermals stay in check, and power consumption is low for the performance you get.Gaming is possible at 1080p or 720p on lower settings for titles like Fortnite or League of Legends, but don’t expect AAA performance. Adding a second RAM stick for dual-channel makes a noticeable difference in gaming and multitasking. This is the lower version of this generation’s integrated graphics and is very memory speed dependent. If you’re not using dual channel, you’re wrong, so make sure to upgrade BOTH sticks. The memory is taken from main ram so the more you have the better for you.Build quality is solid for a plastic chassis, and the compact footprint means it’s easy to mount behind a monitor or tuck away on a desk. The only real downside is the external power brick, which is a bit bulky. I’d rather have that heat outside the device anyway, however it does make for a less portable setup.Overall, MINIX NGC-NR660 is neat little mini PC with great connectivity and upgrade potential. It’s a strong choice for productivity, light content creation, and as a compact home theater or office PC. It’s a RECOMMEND!

Title: A Clean Sweep
Review: This MINIX mini computer scores five stars in every category – and that’s rare!For my use, it’s perfect. The Wi-Fi is as good as a laptop, the graphics are excellent, the expandability is fine. I’m not a gamer, so I don’t much care about high-speed, high-resolution graphics. The accompanying video was edited on another ‘desktop’ style computer. The audio in the MINIX is also good enough. I won’t be doing any audiophile editing on this machine.My primary use for this will be in the kitchen. Since I don’t have Cat-5 cable run there, I use Wi-Fi to connect. Maybe to keep up with podcasts, maybe to pull up a recipe or check whatever comes to mind. So for me, this little computer is, again, perfect.Both the User Guide and the box it comes in have contact information. Email, website, social media(s), QR (Quick Response) code matrix, even their physical address in Hong Kong. Warranty information is implied, but not expressly spelled out. The inclusion of Windows 11 Pro probably complicates their ability to make guarantees.I agree with other reviewers, that this device is not the ultimate in several categories, but like I mentioned, those categories are not so relevant to my use.At the current advertised, discounted price, this mini PC is a good deal.It could be perfect for space-limited applications, or, like me, as an easy expansion of a local LAN.

Review: This is a fantastic option for HTPCs, road warriors, or stand alone / standing desk setups, which is what I got this for (see picture).The only reason I rated it as 4 stars is the price to performance, which should be more closer to 250 to 280 dollars in my opinion, based on the slightly dated 6600H and only 512GB of storage. But overall, this is a fantastic little setup and leaves nothing to be desired in most non intensive, office tasks.I’ve set it up with a 27″ 100Hz monitor via HDMI, a USB A to 5 port USB A connecting a wired USB keyboard, wireless mouse receiver, USB printer, USB speaker, USB DVD burner / player, on a standing desk around my kitchen area and the result was excellent, making my wife and son fall in love with this extremely functional and useful setup. We really loved how this little corner of the house turned out.I haven’t really encountered any problems with this tiny PC. I’m running the default OS, which is a Windows 11 Pro key. I might format it and install a clean Windows 11 Pro instead in the future on a 1TB NVMe drive. But for now it’s working just fine with the 512GB drive. 16GB is plenty for most people. Wi-Fi 6E is also pretty competitive and doesn’t miss out much on the Wi-Fi 7 protocol.Plenty of USB ports but you can definitely use some USB expansion like I’m using at this time.I like this setup, over a laptop on a desk, because it allows you use a larger display or two if you so choose, and use up very little desk space (unless you set up your laptop closed and vertically behind a monitor).A good alternative to this would be docking one of those portable gaming devices that can be found on sale or clearance with the AMD Z1 or Z1 Extreme for 400 dollars or less. Just food for thought. The options and uses of these tiny PCs or mobile gaming devices are pretty much endless. It’s a great time for tech people and geeks for sure.All in all I’m quite pleased with this MINIX PC and regardless of my minor critiques, I’d still recommend it to my fellow Amazon shoppers – if this is something that would work for your needs and your budget.

Review: I really like this little PC. It does everything I need and it does it silently and better than I expected.There’s enough processor for games (especially casual games or older titles – I doubt you’ll be running new AAA titles on it!) and Windows 11 is as easy to set up as every other copy of windows that comes pre-installed on these kinds of systems. Just a bunch of prompts and you’re up and running, really.It could do with some more memory, as 16gb is a minimum for Windows now and I think performance is held back a bit by it. Apparently memory is expandable up to 64gb with two 32gb ddr5 sticks but I’m sure throwing in another 16 would make a big difference to the performance.Wifi works well, seems fast and stable. Bluetooth is good, I’ve been Bluetooth connecting game controllers to it with no trouble. Range is really good- works right across my living room with zero issues or lag.Looks nice and tidy, too, very discrete design that can easily fit into your living room next to the TV, making it an ideal entertainment system I think.At CAD $539 at time of writing this, it seems to me to be a little bit on the expensive side for this spec, but it’s a great little unit. There is also a 10% off coupon running at the moment, too. I’ve seen a couple of low priced mini PCs cheaper than this that turned out to be an absolute rats nest of glue and solder inside, but this one is clean and well made as well as easily accessible for basic upgrades once you take out the screws from the bottom and remove the fan cover inside.Matches the store page description perfectly (the spec it lists on the store page is the spec you get) and the pictures are accurate, too. It’s nicely packaged and looks like quality when it comes out of the box. Inside the box you’ll find a little manual for getting set up with, a HDMI cable, power supply, and a mounting bracket (for attaching to the back of a monitor? I’m not sure I’m not using that tbh!).I’m using this mostly for emulation of old computers as well as a few modern casual games, and it’s doing a really good job of that. It’s very quiet and I’ve had no issues. Windows 11 is its usual terrible self, but that’s down to Microsoft of course. I’m very happy with the computer and I think it’s a solid choice, moreso if you can throw in a little extra RAM to get better performance out of it.

Vor allem der schnelle DDR5 Arbeitsspeicher und die NVMe SSD machen das installierte Windows 11 Pro sehr reaktionsschnell. Der leise Mini-PC ist universell einsetzbar. Neben mehreren USB 3.2 Anschlüssen, HDMI und DisplayPort gibt es einen USB 4.0 Port, der mit einer Bandbreite von bis zu 40 Gbit/s arbeitet und Thunderbolt-kompatible Geräte unterstützt – ideal für schnelle Datenübertragungen oder den Anschluss eines externen 8K-Monitors. Es können bis zu drei 4K-Monitore verwendet werden, ideal für Multitasking. Auch die Erweiterbarkeit gefällt mir – RAM und SSD lassen sich einfach aufrüsten, wenn man später mehr Leistung benötigt. Die Konnektivität ist mit modernem Bluetooth, WiFi 6E und den beiden 2.5G Ethernet Ports auf dem neuesten Stand.

Review: I was extremely impressed by this micro-sized computer! The product comes well packaged and wasvery easy to set up (there are good and clear user instructions should you need these). Thecomputer comes boxed with both a power cable and HMDI connector for your monitor, but you willneed to ensure you have a keyboard and mouse. Despite its small size (roughly 13cmx13cmx5cm),the machine has a whacking 6 core and supports 12 multi-threads, so great for running lots ofapplications simultaneously! It supports Bluetooth and has x2 USB 3.0 fast ports, as well as a singleUSB 2.0 port. The box can be opened easily and upgraded to 64GB RAM, although out of the box thiscomes with 16GB DDR5 RAM. Upon setting up the box, I was impressed by the speed of theprocessing – it took about 30minutes to run through and configure the windows 11 setup. Theproduct comes with a strong integrated graphics card, the AMD Radeon 660M. I initially installedMinecraft, 1.21.1 for my son and this performed exceptionally well, when setting most of thegraphical settings to high and across multiple screens. Provides good value for money compared tolarge desktops and saves on space!

Review: Very nice and compact unit like double thickness of an AppleTV. Preinstalled Windows 11 Pro, once turn on just follow the steps and will guide u to setup the system. Like it with a super quiet fan. Came with an HDMI cable, but for some reason there’s no signal going through to my Dell monitor. Instead I used an USB-C cable to connect to it. I used it for simple office and vector drawing program. Nice and smooth. I am pretty sure if I use it for gaming then I’ll need to add more RAM to it. Fair price unit and save space. Love it!!!New update…… after a couple mths of using the unit. I mentioned at the first part of review when I just picked up the unit, the HDMI cable provided wasn’t working but I didn’t do any further investigation until recently needing to drag a video off a dashcam. The unit has no slot for any kind of memory card, so I need to use a hub which required an USB-C. Apparently the unit has only one USB-C and I used it for display already. This forced me to investigate further why the HDMI cable provided wasn’t working. So I borrowed my frd’s cable which said for 2K, 4K, 8K and bingo, worked immediately. So I just want to say, the HDMI cable provided was either an old version cable not compatible or manufactured defect.
