Title: Good replacement for laptop
Review: This mini computer (N150, 16G, 512G SSD with Win 11 preloaded) is to replace another mini I bought 4 years ago that windows 11 update killed it off. This mini comp had a coupon for $50 off and that made the deal worth buying. Having the other accessories like KB mouse and portable monitor pretty much made this virtually plug and play. One of the main reasons to buy this particular model (besides the good price and good specs) was that it could power up and display to a monitor through just one cable USB-C connection. I am not sure if this is thunderbolt 3 or 4 connection, but it works. I can run most the apps I need and also play Startrek Online MMO. I like to use a mini computer instead of a laptop when I travel, it is easy to setup to play online board games (boardgamearena) with my spouse while the other is playing on the desktop. There only a couple of small complaints I have but not enough to ding a star.1- The power input is a 12V DC round plug, I wish it was a USB-C power input.2- The USB-C display port is on the front and I would rather have it on the back next to the other HDMI ports.

Title: The Money I could Have Saved…
Review: This is my fourth mini PC. As older laptops and/or desktops need replacing I have turned to these mini PC’s. Typically, these are in applications where they are tied to a TV via HDMI. Add a wireless mouse and keyboard and you are good to go at a pretty significant savings. This one, for example, is connected to a powered USB hub with seven drives with about 30 TB of video and audio files. Its HDMI output is to an HDMI distribution amp which sends the signal to a monitor and four TV’s or AV receivers. That’s a lot of stuff to hang on a tiny little box, but it all works perfectly. The solid-state drive and generous RAM means that it boots very quickly and runs cool. Streaming 4K video is flawless. I calculate that when compared with buying four conventional laptops or desktops I have saved from $1200 to $2000. That’s worth five stars in my book!

Title: Solid once wiped and loaded, see review for general steps
Review: To be clear, the hardware is good, it was the out of box experience that lost a star, and many would think it should be even fewer stars. On initial bootup, all I was able to get was a BIOS “BOSGAME” logo, sits for 20 seconds then shuts down. All indications of heat, ram, disk issues. Short story, it was none of those, just a bad load of Windows 11, the boot sector thought it should boot, couldn’t and didn’t. I had to download an ISO, make a bootable image on a USB drive, enter the BIOS and change the boot order to USB, wipe the existing 5 partitions, load Windows 11, remember to enter the BIOS after the first reboot to switch the primary boot drive back to the SSD, and this worked fine. This is not a process your typical end user would figure out. So, for the general public, this is not a good buy. For the tinkerer it is a decent option. Great performance, that 16GB or RAM makes a big difference for my little home game server host.Steps in general:On a working PC, go to Microsoft’s Windows 11 download page and get an ISOUse a tool like “rufus” to create a bootable USB thumb drive (needs to be 16GB+, the image is over 8GB)Plug in peripheralsBoot and tap (ESC) key to enter BIOS, navigate to Boot Order and change to USBBoot to the USB, then delete all pre-existing partitions from the SSDChoose the now empty partition and allow the process to start.Pay attention to it and when it automatically reboots, tap (ESC) again, go into the BIOS and change the boot order back to the SSD or it will keep starting the installation process over and over.Let the installation finish and you should be golden.

Title: Great value, good performance. Need to download drivers after clean install of Windows 11.
Review: Amazing value for a tiny PC. Typical web browsing and playing an old game (Age of Kings) is smooth with no slowdowns. I’ve been disappointed by previous “lightweight” PCs in the past, but this has changed my mind. It replaced a 7th Gen Intel NUC i5, which might play simple 3D games better. The N150 has only a single DRAM channel, but 16GB is still enough.There is one caveat. I like to do a clean re-installation of Windows on a new PC. Upon reinstalling Windows 11, I had no sound, and I had to download the ZIP packages of drivers from the BOSGAME support website for the E3 Mini PC. Windows 11 finds and installs the drivers if you unzip those packages and point the driver update at the directory holding all of the unzipped drivers. Use Device Manager to find what needs a driver and the Update Driver and Browse to the location.Out of the box, the drivers were all working though, and the manual update is required only if you do a clean install.

Title: 12V Input, Thunderbolt on USB-C for Video and Power, Linux Support, Nice!
Review: I purchased this computer. because it runs on 12V power and has Thunderbolt 4 capability on the USB-C port. I’m putting it into a portable computing kit with a monitor that runs off of USB-C power and does video in through the same USB-C (single cable from the computer to the monitor for both power, video, and audio). I wiped the disk and put Linux on it first thing, and it seems to work quite well. It feels pretty snappy with 16G of RAM and the 512G of storage should be sufficient for my use case. It’s certainly not going to be for everyone, but it looks like it will do the job I want it to quite well.

Review: When I bought it, I knew what I was getting. It was meant for remote access and web browsing. And it performs perfectly. I did notice the Windows 11 pro image that it came with was glitchy. I wasn’t able to successfully process the 22H2 update — it just hung at 100% update. So, I reimaged it with the Windows 11 pro cloud download and after that it worked great (you get to it by resetting Windows 11). All in all, it exceeds my expectations.

Review: I have been buying these smaller PC’s Always a Mac guy but nice to have variety at home. First was a Kamrui N5105 which performed well. Next was a Bosgame Ryzen 7 (wow setting 8 gets 20fps) Bought this Bosgame Core i5 1135g7 and it runs amazing and is the fastest mini PC yet. (wow setting max 10 gets 55-60fps internal graphics) I bought it for the thunderbolt and will add egpu later.

I was happy to see brand name components (e.g. memory and NVMe) were used to build the PC.Installation of Windows 10 went smoothly and was happy to see that it automatically activated the OS with a digital license. This means that an OEM product key has been integrated into the motherboard. This was an actual surprise as I’ve tested other mini PC’s from Amazon and they did not include the product keys either on the motherboard or in the box, so this is a definite bonus.During the setup it could not locate a bunch of drivers for the components but luckily BosGame has drivers and firmware updates on their website. This is good to see that there is driver support for the product if required.Note: I also installed Windows 11 Pro afterwards and it also activated with the embedded OEM key in the motherboard and the same drivers on their website worked for Windows 11 as well.The system is very quiet with the occasional whirr of the cooling fan, but it’s so quiet you may not hear it unless you’re in a quiet room.One item it doesn’t have is a drive activity LED. Review: There are plenty of similar listings for Mini PC on the market. This BosGame Mini PC G35 comes fully loaded. I like that this has 16GB DDR4 RAM when compared to other mini pc in this range that only has 8GB. 16GB ram comes with 2 separate slots of 8GB each. This is also expandable to 64GB. This is not a gaming pc as it doesn’t have the best graphics card but for normal needs it is plenty. This PC has a 2.5GB ethernet port which is more than enough for most home connections. I started using this as a Media PC connected to my TV via HDMI and since then I have been adding more solutions such as Homebridge and PiHole. I have also set up a remote PC login so I can access this machine from my phone. This machine has become a Ture all in one machine and I get to use it for multiple tasks. This mini PC has a small body and you can mount it anywhere. For reference, the power adapter is half the size of the machine. There is a VESA mount that is included with this system. This machine has a USB C port as well. You can expand ports by using a hub. This has a fast 512GB SSD which is more than enough for most uses. This machine has exceeded all my expectations and I hope I can use this for a long time.
