Title: Worth the read from novice to experienced.
Review: My 11 year old is showing interest in cryptids so I picked this up. I wanted to read it first to gauge the amount of the information and I highly enjoy it. For anyone who has been reading about cryptids for a long time, you won’t find anything new, buts it’s enjoying to read. Light hearted but informational. I highly recommend to new and old readers alike who are getting into the journey on cryptids or have been into it for years.

Title: A great look at some USA cryptids
Review: This was an in depth look at cryptids in the United States and their origin stories. Each entry includes the type of cryptid, the location of sighting, the earliest sighting, and the size, before going into the story of the cryptid. As a bonus, at the end of the book the author includes sites and festivals for some of the cryptids, which is great if you are wanting to visit some cryptid locations. As someone who came from a cryptid town, I have always been interested in learning more about cryptids and how their stories started. This was a great way to learn about a lot of different cryptids and why some are more popular than others. The author also groups the cryptids by location in the United States which was a great way to see how many appear in certain areas. My only complaint was that by the end of this book I was tired of hearing about Bigfoot since there have been so many appearances and different sightings, but it also appeared the author was tired of mentioning Bigfoot too by the end. Overall, I think this is a great book for cryptid fans and a great reference guide.

Title: Nice cover
Review: I like that it’s a hard cover and it’s pretty. I’m disappointed that not all cryptids were in the book. There’s so many missing and ones I’ve never heard of before. So many cryptids that are in the book do not have pictures. I’ll be looking for another cryptid book that has more detail, but I will still keep this one.

Title: US Cryptid Tour
Review: This is a great book filled with cryptids across the US. They are separated into regions, north, south, east and west. The author has a great sense of humor, and the descriptions and details are interesting. Especially how cities and towns attempt to turn them into tourist locations. Some are better than others. All the majors are here, Bigfoot, Dogman, Wendigo, Skinwalker and lots more. Also shared are some great stories and little known background on many. Even better on audiobook. Mark Sanderlin narrates with perfect pitch and tone.
