Title: Rio Grande Games Transamerica Game
Review: This game is so fun! I also have the Ticket to Ride game, which I love. This game isn’t quite as complicated and can be played a bit quicker. We take it to game days with friends and it’s a popular choice

Title: Fun for the family
Review: My sons saw this at a gaming convention and said it was fun. They were right. It’s a game that can be played with little skill, this would be a good game for many ages.

Title: So easy my father-in-law can play it.
Review: This is an incredibly simple game that can be learned by anyone in a couple minutes. A single game (ignore the game tracker) plays very quickly and has great replay value. This is a perfect into into board gaming as a hobby. This or Ticket to Ride are how to get new players in.

Title: Great Starter Game for Kids (and for adults who don’t want to think too hard).
Review: This is not a deep strategy game. But I play it with my grandkids, and they love it. My grandson played it when he was 5 and couldn’t read yet, but he could match the colors, and the first couple letters of each city. (We had to watch out for SAcramento and SAn Francisco.) I have a ton of games, and every one doesn’t have to last 3 hours. If you’re just starting out with board games, I’d recommend Camel Up, Union Pacific, Settlers of Cataan, and Lost Cities. And RA and Pickominos, and Atlantic Star and Splendor….and Bananagrams is fast and fun if you’re a Scrabble and/or Boggle fan.

Title: This one is great as a warm up or cool down to playing …
Review: This is a simple, but addicting game that your gaming group and non-gamers can play together. Games are short so multiple rounds are possible (even demanded). There is a lot of strategy of when you connect to other players railway lines. This one is great as a warm up or cool down to playing more complex strategy games.

Title: Fun, quick and easy.
Review: We love Ticket to Ride but it takes a couple of hours. Trans America is a similar game but much simpler and can be completed in a shorter time, or you can choose to play more rounds. Trying to connect your trains to your secret cities is fun and in this game you can build on others railroads. We played it with adults but think our grand kids (9 and 11) could master it.

Review: This is an excellent entry-level board game that all the family can play straight out of the box with no messing about. The rules can be explained in less than a minute and set up takes about the same. I have played this with four non-boardgamers and everyone wanted to play again. Works well with 5 or 6 players – which not many games do.

Review: This is a lot of fun. We’ve played it with kids as young as 7 and with lots of grown ups of whatever age. The game action itself is really easy, and you can learn all the rules and everything in just a few minutes. It doesn’t take long to play and it’s a lot of fun. There isn’t a lot of sitting around waiting because the turns move fairly quickly.

Review: The quality of this is impressive.. a good thick board that is sharply and cleanly cut and folds/unfolds cleanly. Some decent wooden playing tokens and reasonable cards. As for the playability .. I stress I have only played with either two or three players. it could well be different with moreIt is quick and easy to learn. and has a reasonable amount of replayability as you get differing targets each time. It sets up quickly, and from the first play you can open the box and be playing in minutes.Look at it as a simplified ‘Ticket to ride’, and you have a reasonable idea.But.. it is perhaps too simple and reliant on luck as to which target cities you get. There are two things built into the game that try to reduce this .. Everyone will get a far west coast and eastern seaboard city, (and 3 others in between), but if you get two or three of the extreme cities, you are at a decided disadvantage. A game will consist of several rounds, which also reduces the unfairness – if you get a bad hand first round, you hope to ‘strike lucky’ next time. That’s why I drop one star.TIP. there is an expansion out there called ‘vexation’, that is perhaps no longer available, and even if it is, overpriced. All it consists of is 18 coloured sticks. Go to one of the ‘wesell pieces’ sires – in the UK I used boardgameextras -and buy Catan roads for pence only.. exactly the same. Rules for implementation can be found on BGG.

Review: I’ve always loved this game-nice and quick when there isn’t a ton of time to play a more involved game.
