Title: Excellent!
Review: I usually do not give reviews but this little gem is well worth a review. The best feature of this stripper is the addition of the ability to strip 20-24awg wire which would usually require a second set of strippers. With the Paladin 1117 one set does 10-24awg. Very handy indeed! The second best feature of the set would be the angled head and ergonomic handle with real rubber grip. Now for the good stuff. I am not a careered electrician. In fact I am a mechanical engineer. However when I need to do electrical work, I just plain need it to work. I searched for a long time for a good set of strippers before settling on these. Any real technician will tell you there is no such thing as an “all in one” tool. I compared the Paladin to everyone- Klein, GreenLee, Irwin, Snap-On, Craftsman, even Panduit (very expensive). True this set is made in Taiwan, but the packaging on the GreenLee, Craftsman and Irwin say they are made in China. Some (not all) Kleins are now made in China. Snap-On is USA (watch out for Blue-Point brand though)and Panduit is Germany. Like the Klein, Craftsman, GreenLee, Irwin and Snap-On strippers, the Paladin are made of the same stamped steel. Only one set of Snap-On’s are cast steel (this is a multi-tool however with no spring return) so they were not compared. I was never able to tell by Panduit’s website how they built their’s (too expensive anyways). One other nifty build feature is the hinge pivot. It is a large steel rivet instead of a bolt and nut. The rivet will not come loose unlike the problematic nut and bolt type. One other note: as long as you ONLY cut copper or aluminum wire, the cutters will NEVER dull. As soon as you cut any other wire, they dull and never work the same. THIS IS TRUE WITH ALL WIRE STRIPPERS!For less than $15.00 this could be the best strippers! See I tried to keep it short!

Title: I use these almost daily at work. But they changed the handle.
Review: I love these and nobody else offers the same range in a single stripper. I primarily use 22awg to 16awg. The old style handles are pictured and much softer and rounded, the new style are harder and more square, luckily the old covers interchange, but they are 5 years old now, so I am not sure how many times I can change them. A pair seems to last me a year. They still seem OK until I compare them to a new one and I realize how dull they have gotten.

Title: Stripper search is over
Review: I’ve worked in electronics and electrical since I got into ham radio at 10 years of age, and model railroading at 12. I’m now 73. Simply stated, this is the most versatile and effective pair of wire strippers I’ve ever used.At present I’m using them on a model railroad layout. I can strip 24 gauge feeder wires and then 14 gauge bus wire with the same tool, and every strip job is clean with no cut strands. I just stripped some stranded 10 gauge for a garage heater. The strippers are sharp, it’s easy to find the right notch, and they provide great leverage. This is an awesome tool and I highly recommend it.

Title: Not good for small wires
Review: I purchased these to help with the electrical work in the miniature models I build. The tool is sturdy and durable when held, however, it does not work with simple small wires. The straight blade is so strong it cuts them, and the holes that are meant to fit smaller wires are not small enough. The wire size I work with is the same size wires used in common electrical boxes. It just didn’t make sense to me that this tool doesn’t provide the stripping mechanism for such common sized wire

Title: These are the best strippers I’ve ever used.
Review: I first used these a couple years ago while building control panels for a large data center project. I’m currently a controls electrician in the City of Chicago. I’ve been in the field for almost 20 years. I need good wire strippers because I use them almost every day. Precision sharp accurate cuts and strips are essential for my job. I’ve used many wire stripers throughout the years but these are my favorite. I usually go through two pairs a year. If I don’t lose them first, I retire them to my home tool box to use for things around the house. Since it’s time to buy a couple more, I thought I’d write a review.

Title: Smooth and easy to use
Review: This is a good, quality tool. Smooth action. Comfortable grip. Sharp stripping teeth.I purchased this, specifically for use on smaller wires,16-22 gauge wire; for building control panels. I have not used it for heavy electrical construction. This is my second pair. And, I am very satisfied with this tool.

Review: had the same pair for years but made by paladin, i replaced them with these ones and they are just as good. i only replaced them because a coworker cut some steel twist ties with them and messed up the cutter. the only downside to these are that the cutter part is smaller so you cant trim all the cables to the same length when terminating a male rj-45 at the same time, i wish they just made the strippers slightly longer when they added 24 gauge, but hey, now i dont need a separate stripper just for 24g

Review: I received and older version of these stripper. The handle are squared near the lock part that make it really hard to use the lock.
