Review: I’d ordered this camera September 3 2021 and got it on the 7th, fast delivery was great.Negatives in my view:My only three arguments with this product are:(1) It’s designed to stay in your vehicle and “this drives me nuts!!!” But in today’s world all of these dash cams are designed in this manner, it’s as if the manufactures are asking for your vehicles windows to be smashed and the product to be stolen as a way of forcing you to purchase another. “So I don’t care for this.”(2) It has a continuous flashing light so if it’s left in your vehicle, even if a thief didn’t have knowledge of there being a dash cam in your vehicle this light is certain to draw their attention and bring them running straight to a $160.00 camera and they’ll have no problems breaking out your windows to get after it. This light flashes even when the battery is too low to support the cameras working. It’s like I’ve said “it’s as if the manufactures are asking for your vehicles windows to be smashed and the product to be stolen as a way of forcing you to purchase another.”(3) The suction cup that supposedly mounts the dash cam to your windshield or wherever you’re planning on mounting it is not a suction cup at all; it’s more of a stick-on cup.Remove the cover wrap from the suction and you’ll feel this sticky crap that’ll hold it to your mounting point.After six mounts, mine stopped mounting. There is no suction mount. Turn the locking level clockwise and it does suck into place; for about 20 seconds before it free falls. Lucky for me I’d already had my power cord connected and this prevented the camera from breaking if it’d fallen to the floor.Positives in my view:(1) I LOVE the color touch screen as it’s easy to navigate for reasons of settings.(2) The stability of the video and photo recording are great.(3) Two thumbs up on the 155-degree wide angle lens.(4) Front view is great as well as the rear view; but the dual view is confusing. Meaning, that if you’re driving using dual view. When you look at the camera it’s hard to distinguish where the rear ends and the front begins. The manufacturer should’ve placed an outline around the rear view for separation.(5) I haven’t yet had a need for the Motion Detector or the Parking Mode but the Audio Recording also gets both of my thumbs up.(6) Both front and rear camera’s are good and clear and your device does come with everything listed in the box being: T4 Dash Camera, Car Mount, Car Charger with USB Cable, Rear Camera with 26-foot USB Cable, User Guide Warranty Card and a 32GB SD card.All-in-all, 3 negatives and 6 plus positives; I’ll give it a go as it’s a good dash cam and I like it.On my own, I’ll need to figure out how to keep it mounted. I mean, do I glue it in place or do I nail it to my windshield? Suggestions welcomed.

Title: Nice features, but disappointing
Review: I was attracted to this unit because of the camera resolution and the features. I wouldn’t buy it again.Pros: 1. The touch screen is fantastic. Very responsive and easy to use. You can touch the screen for the “menu” and then select your function by icon, which is very easy to see. Keeps your eyes on the road.2. You can choose what is on the screen, front camera, rear camera or both. As someone stated, you can leave it on rear and with the rear camera resolution, you eliminate blind spots. Very effective.3. The general recording is nice, clear, and would likely be easy to determine what happened in an emergency.4. Very easy to save either video or pictures in a folder that won’t be erased. Two easy clicks.Cons:1. I bought this so I could have a record of dangerous drivers on the highway as they barrel past me, cut me off, and in some cases attempt to run me off the road. I specifically wanted to be able to take a picture of the license plate and keep it.Due to the very wide angel and high resolution of the rear camera, cars that are actually so close as to be extremely dangerous only appear to be moderately close to the rear of my car. Other than using the rear camera to eliminate blind spots, it is worthless for what I wanted.2. Even when I have pulled dangerously close to a car ahead of me, I have never been able to take a picture in which the license is clear enough to read. When blown up, the tags are so pixelated you cannot read them. Since the resolution of the front camera increases when the rear camera is disconnected, I thought the problem might be resolved by sacrificing the rear camera. Nope. It made virtually no difference.3. Just as the rear camera angle is too wide and the resolution too high, so it is with the front. The images that are captured are so wide angle that all the cars around me are too small to appear to be a problem. If you can’t get an image that reflects how dangerously the other driver is behaving, what is the point?4. After reading all the nightmare stories of the cameras constantly falling off the windshields, I ordered the mirror mounting kit to go with mine. The screen is a great size (4.3″ diagonal) and easy to see when you look at it, but the extra size so increases the weight that the camera is always vibrating even with the mount tightened as securely as I can make it. Every video I have looks like the camera bounces up and down constantly, making it difficult to follow.5. Don’t even think about trying to record at night without the Wide Dynamic Range engaged. The camera cannot make the distinction between contrasts, and a night video is nothing but glare and shadow. Even with the WDR on, the other points are still applicable, making a night video almost useless. If you go under an overpass there is a brief moment in which the car ahead is starkly clear, when you are in shadow and it is in the daylight. As soon as you pass into daylight, you immediately lose clarity to high contrasts, and you no longer have any hope of reading the tag.Bottom line: it is a nice camera if all you want is a pretty video recording of what went on ahead and behind you with a great touch screen interface. If you want to read anything or be able to tell anything in less than ideal contrast areas, this is not the camera for you.

Review: Only 3 stars because of the dock. It will lose suction some days, most likely due to big temperature swings. My larger issue is that is shakes a lot. This probably only affects vehicles with harder suspension (like commercial utes) on country roads. I haven’t tried running the video through an image stabiliser but from what I saw straight out of the memory card the video wouldn’t have been very useful on its own.Probably a 4 or 5 star camera in a car that rides smoothly on decent roads.
