Title: Very Good for the Price
Review: Bought 5 of these to monitor a coyote pack on our property. For the cost ($63), these are very nice cameras. Having 5 cameras lets me triangulate coyote movement on the property, but I would never have bought that many if they cost a couple hundred $ each.Daytime pics and videos are very crisp. I can easily distinguish individual markings on the coyotes. Night-time images also very good. The distance at which the motion triggers the camera to start recording is easily twice as far as other cameras in this price range I have used previously, and there are side motion triggers which start recording before the animal is fully in front of the camera. I have found those nice as it starts the video early enough to get more footage of the animal, especially important if the animal is running. Most of the videos that I am interested in are at night. Couple times with the cameras already triggered I have video of animals sprinting full speed in front of the cameras and can still identify individuals. In still picture mode sometimes an animal moving that fast is already out of frame before the camera triggers. Daytime trigger response seems a little better. I have several of animals racing across a trail with all 4 feet off the ground and I still get 1 pic of them. I have 3 of the cameras set up with overlapping fields of view so I can analyze what is getting caught and what’s not.Added bonus is the nice audio quality. Previous camera I was relying on had pretty much zero audio recording. I had a recent video of a dark animal at night, lying on the ground, could not tell what I was seeing through the brush. I finally remembered to turn the sound up and could hear distinctly hog grunting that let me identify what the animal was.Too soon to know if the battery life will be as good as claimed – 8 months according to some reviews I have seen. Will update as I have more time on the cameras.June 10, 2024 – still on the original batteries I started using in early February. Not the most expensive nor the cheapest batteries – Rayovac alkaline. Cameras in continuous use just over 4 months. Still getting great pics and videos, especially considering the price of the cameras. No issues with cameras at all.June 27, 2024 – batteries in a couple of the cameras finally started to show signs of weakening. We have had a heat wave of at or near 100 degree days past couple of weeks which probably hastened the battery demise. Still images still fine, even at night. Daytime videos fine. But at night, with the extended time the light stays on for the videos they suddenly started recording for only 3 seconds each. Went ahead and changed all the batteries. 3 of the cameras have been in continuous use for almost 5 full months, and I use Rayovac alkaline batteries. For almost all of the time I have had the cameras I had the video recording set to 2 minutes, which turns out in almost all cases to be way longer than needed. But that does factor into battery life. The obvious largest battery drain is the light necessary to film at night.August 31, 2024 – About 2 weeks ago one of the cameras purchased in February 2024 started exhibiting digital “streaking” on the display, but still recorded without issue. Now, 2 weeks later I only get a solid blue-white screen without access to any functions or menu. It reminds me of an old first generation digital camera I once owned that was susceptible to moisture/humidity. I have never allowed any water inside the casing, never open the door to access camera card if the outside of the camera body is wet. I have contacted the company that distributes to Amazon, will update my review once I hear back from them. Pics of the defective camera. Other 4 cameras continue to function fine.September 17, 2024 – New camera arrived from the company to replace the one that went bad. All 4 other cameras continue to function normally.Oct 4. tried to add some videos a week ago, site informed me only 1 video could be added/review, then did not add any. Trying again. 1 daytime video of deer, 1 nighttime still pic of coyote. The coyote is close to the distance limit for triggering the camera – could be a little further but in this case that’s as far as the camera has a straight-line unobstructed view. About 20 feet in this case, estimated not measured.Jan 8, 2025. Replaced batteries for second time. I think there was still some life left in them, but one week there was seemingly a deer hanging around in front of two of the cameras multiple times/night for several nights. The repeated minute-long night lighting from the cameras got the batteries, they started recording videos less the 1 minute long. So averaging about 6 months per battery change.Also, manual indicates trigger sensitivity should be set to “medium” for hot weather. Now that it’s finally cold I switched it to “high”. Got one deer that must have been close to 100 feet away at night triggered the motion sensor.Had to dial 2 of the cameras back to medium trigger sensitive – both are in areas with an appreciable gap in overhead tree canopy. This time of year (Jan-Feb) late afternoon shadows cast by trees as sun getting close to the horizon kept triggering the cameras to record continuously. Cameras in deep woods without the shadows are ok on high sensitivity.

Title: The camera worked fine, failed after 2.5 years, and customer support sent a replacement.
Review: I ordered the camera in Dec 2022 for backyard wildlife. I was very satisfied with it, good range, quality, motion detection, etc. Recently I went to set it up again and the display screen was messed up — white vertical lines no what I did to try to get rid of them. I contacted GardePro customer support and reported the problem. After asking for some more info, I was told they would send a replacement. I thought, yeah, sure. Today the new replacement camera arrived, only about 5 days after I contacted support!!! Thank you, GardePro.

Title: Off-brand cam that rivals some of the well known names.
Review: Having used many different cam brands over the years, I’ve found this one to be reasonably reliable. It’s a departure from the big named brands, but the reliability/quality of this cam appears to be on par with the best of those others who’ve been around for a while. It does not have the cellular option. The setup menu has a lot of options to choose from and is pretty much self intuitive. The onboard display works well for viewing pics/videos as well as setting up the cam. Daytime photos are good (ignore the hype of uber high mega-pixel image ratings as the human eye can’t really detect much difference in photo quality beyond 8 mega pixel- only if you want to enlarge portions of an image does high pixel count become a factor). Night time photos and videos are decent; but due to the IR emission of No-Glo LEDs (940nm), you won’t get the background illumination that you would if “Low-Glo” LEDs (850nm) were used (~30% reduction in background lighting using No-Glo LEDs). Still, unless the object is at the far end of the detection range, night time photos are still decent. The side PIR sensors can be deactivated if desired, which is handy if you find that your videos are beginning without any activity appearing in the field of view (a consideration if you are doing a photo burst, with nothing appearing in a couple of the photos). I keep mine ON as there are often times that a critter will trigger a cam well after it’s come into the field of view, so you miss a bit of movement unless you can start that video a bit ahead of time! If you are taking a LOT of night time videos, you’ll burn through batteries- so I would highly recommend employing an external battery source with the cam, in addition to the internal set of 8 (there are external lithium rechargeable battery packs available that are compact in size, as are chew-proof cords for those squirrels that pose a threat). The camo print on the shell will help conceal the outline of the cam against a background of brush or bark (unlike some of the others who use a lighter gray or tan shell without break-up patterns). It uses a standard SD card which you can format while mounted in the cam or via your laptop.Side note: Regardless of the type of LED lighting chosen, one option is to mount the cam ~8 ft up a tree using a screw-in mount so that you can angle it in any orientation desired. Mature bucks tend to not detect the low-glow flash and any scent left on the cam (or its strap) will not be detected. Plus, trespassers will not readily see the cam if it’s out of their normal line of sight, which is typically down or straight ahead. For this purpose, I carry 1 strap-on step section and use a harness that will allow me to lean back.

Title: Finally, a Good Trail Camera!
Review: After spending money on a dozen or more trail cameras in all price ranges, I was elated to find one that actually does what it promises. Instead of showing you the tails of animals leaving the area, this one takes pictures of animals when they come into the frame! Both stills and video are crystal clear. Night resolution is the best I’ve ever seen. One feature I like is you set the hours of “surveillance,” so you don’t get birds flying past at midday. Good value.

Este modelo no usa los leds rojos de baja potencia como otros modelos que si son visible de noche.Contenido: Se presenta en una caja de cartón sin imágenes del contenido, en ella figura el modelo de cámara, su origen y su marca. Dentro de la caja nos encontramos con:- Cámara GardenPro (A3S) con visión nocturna y detección de movimiento- Cable Mini USB a USB tipo A de 73 cm de color negro (Para conectar la cámara al PC)- Cinta de sujeción plana de nailon con enganche de muelle rápido (153 cm de largo x 2,5 cm de ancho x 0,13 cm de grosor).- Manual de uso y características en inglés e italiano (No viene en español)(Aclarar que el menú de la cámara viene en varios idiomas donde se incluye el español)En el mercado hay una gran variedad de cámaras de este tipo, con funciones especiales como conectividad inalámbrica, con tarjetas SIM, con varios modos de iluminación que las hacen visibles (Flash, leds de alta potencia, etc.). (En el video que he realizado muestro la totalidad)Indicaros que el display es lo suficientemente grande para trabajar con él (2,4 pulgadas), ahora si eres de los que ve la letra pequeña borrosa usaras gafas como yo.Grabaciones: Aclarar que los 32 Mpx de la cámara es para fotografías, para videos el máximo es de 2304x1296p a 20 fps, siendo mejor opción 1920p x 1080p a 30 fps. Cuando tenemos poca luz ambiental salta automáticamente los IR y esta pasa a grabaciones en B/NLa he adquirido para controlar el paso de Osos en mi zona y tener muy presente que los hay, pero necesito capturas de imagen o videos en caso de que me dañen mi propiedad para el seguro. Esta cámara tiene un buen alcance de detección que va en función de la climatología, de como esté enfocada y del animal a detectar. En mi caso está enfocada a 10 metros de la zona “Caliente”, que he realizado pruebas y funciona de maravilla.* Como cámara de fototrampeo funciona muy bien. Este modelo cuenta con sensor de temperatura que nos queda reflejado en las grabaciones (Dato muy útil)** Permite conectarle una fuente de alimentación de 12 voltios a 1 amperio mediante un conector propietario*** Aclarar que la tarjeta de memoria que empleemos debemos formatearla en FAT32 o exFAT, generalmente, no siempre, las tarjetas de poca capacidad suelen venir en FAT32 (2, 4, 8, 16 GB) y la de mayor capacidad en exFAT (32, 64, 128, 256, 512 GB), esto es debido a que soportan archivos de más de 4 GB y son compatibles para diferentes plataformas. Ahora si tienes una tarjeta o compras una y la formateas en el PC de Windows te lo hará por defecto En NTFS, por eso antes de hacerlo debemos marcar la opción exFAT o FAT32.**** Los datos obtenidos de la cámara son accesibles de 2 maneras:1- Desde la propia tarjeta de memoria (Donde queda almacenado)2- Usando el cable Mini USB y conectando la cámara al PC (Lo detecta como un pendrive)Excelente cámara con muy buenos resultados (Detección muy buena, función de noche, calidad de imágenes y videos)

Trotz sorgfältiger Bestückung mit Markenbatterien Varta verliert die Kamera immer wieder die Zeiteinstellung, macht nur tagsüber Aufnahmen, somit für unseren Zweck sinnlos. Wir überlegen die Kamera zurück zu schicken. Mal sehen was der Support macht.Update: die Kamera funktioniert mit den empfohlenen Batterien, daher Problem gelöst, macht jetzt auch zu den eingestellten Zeiten Aufnahmen.

Review: Bought two to supplement an older StealthCam that I use to monitor skunk traps as we have a big problem with the critters on the edge of a big city. I was very surprised at the ease of setup. This is the first product I have bought in decades where someone who knows the English language actually wrote the manual. What a difference. Ironically, you really don’t need the manual because the setup is logical and intuitive despite the Chinese manufacturing. This is how manuals and user interfaces should be.Works well after testing in day and night. Am in Canada and there is no way I’d pay a subscription for cellular access to a network that is cost prohibitive and flaky in Canada. That’s a hundred dollars in extra features that likely won’t work here and am then committed to a monthly fee. The onboard screen means you don’t have to remove an SD card or plug into a PC—unless you really want the HD photo/ movie.Only small issue I noticed is that there is no provision for temp in celsius, which is no big deal as I am not a hunter, but it does prove the cam was targeted for USA customers (similar to their cellular versions which use American carriers only). (edited: the info bar does record C but the menu only shows F)Happy with the purchase so far. It has all the features I need w/o the ones that would be flakey. Nor did I want to mess around with yet another app that drops WiFi or Bluetooth like they all do. This model doesn’t have these features, so I’m not stressing out trying to get them to work.
