Title: Solid unit, good camera, easy to use
Review: I got this to do a wall fish for a fiber optic cable inside a wall. It was my first time doing this DIY job. This tool makes it a lot easier since you can see inside the wall to look for any obstructions, plumbing lines, electrical cables, etc. to prevent creating more work or problems for yourself. Well worth the modest price. Was able to complete my job faster and more confidently using it. It is easy to use. Just turn it on and you can use it right away, and the manual explains the various functions well enough. Cable is flexible while still being pretty stiff and works great. Camera image is great is doesn’t lag. I can see myself using it for all sorts of jobs in the future around the house and for car repairs.

Title: Very handy for those hard to look areas.
Review: This is one handy little gadget! Had a water leak and could not see where it was coming from and had no access to it. Broke out this handy little camera/monitor, snaked it in and instantly found the source of the leak. Nice design, very functional, good picture quality and good value for the money.

Title: Great if You Understand the Limitations
Review: I bought the Depstech Dual Lens Endoscope specifically to investigate a perplexing drain clog and discovered a number of things that don’t make this – or probably most endoscopes with a semi-rigid optical cable – a good choice for situations where the camera needs to negotiate a series of sharp turns:1) The optical cable is too stiff to negotiate tight bends; especially where multiple bends are involved like, traps.2) The Depstech’s camera has a sharp edge at its leading edge which catches on pipe joints and any imperfections. This also exacerbates the problem with negotiating tightish turns.3) The included hook attachment – with its rounded end – would be a great way to overcome the limitations with the camera’s sharp leading edge, but the metal it’s made from is thin and fractures easily. An endoscope with an articulated camera would have helped solve my problem with the camera’s sharp leading edge catching on things, but the semi-rigid cable would still be the limiting factor in negotiating tight bends or multiple bends.Based on my experience then, I wouldn’t recommend this Depstech endoscope – or any endoscope with a semi-rigid optical cable – for use in pipes/ducts/hoses where tight or multiple bends need to be negotiated. For straight runs or runs where maybe only one bend needs to be negotiated, you’d probably be fine.I did end-up using the endoscope to investigate the layout of my plumbing inside the wall, and it was great for this, so into the closet it’ll go awaiting its next (appropriate) assignment.Otherwise, the Depstech endoscope seems well made. I didn’t exactly baby it trying to run it down my pipes and other than the fragile hook attachment it came away unscathed. The Depstech endoscope came to me fully charged with a decent set of printed instructions. After a quick formatting of the included memory card, it was ready to use. Battery life also seemed good.So not great for what I initially intended to use it for, but I’m sure I’ll find more uses for in the future.

Title: Fantastic tool!
Review: Great price for a very useful tool to have. Works very well in the engine bay and even just using around the house or losing an item in tight spaces. Has several light brightness settings or no light. Able to take pictures and video. Screen is the right size to hold in one hand while scoping with the other hand. Battery lasts quite a while and seems like I only charge once a month or every other month.

Title: Needs 4 hands for best results
Review: The picture quality was good but it was a struggle to hold the base unit in one hand, and simultaneously manipulate the semi-rigid scope with the other hand. Because of the rigidity of the cable, any movement in the base unit immediately rotated or moved the camera out of position. For my use cases, this camera needed two people to operate – one person to hold the cable firmly in place while the other held the base unit and pressed any necessary buttons. Gonna return this and try out the smart phone compatible unit by the same manifacturer.

Review: Upon receiving the endoscope I opened the box and switched it, without opening the instruction book I found it simple and easy to use as it operates in a logical way, plus the icons on the buttons clearly identify their function. The cable for the camera is more than sufficient in length and can be easily straightened out and bent to suit the task. The camera is lovely and clear, the light is a great touch and being able to adjust is an added bonus and handy to limit over exposure. The screen is nice and clear giving a clear view of the camera and whatever you are viewing. The best features for me are the functionality of the camera and the ability to rotate the camera view 180 degrees, however the real party piece is the dual camera and being able to switch to the side view, which can prove invaluable. The extras included such as magnet are a nice touch and great for retrieving that dropped nut or screw up.All in all I am very impressed with the endoscope and it is real value for money, tough, rugged, great functionality, excellent battery life, highly recommend

Review: I just got this DEPSTECH borescope yesterday and have already put it to use. Right out of the box, it feels well-made and sturdy. The semi-rigid cable strikes a good balance between flexibility and firmness, which made it easy to maneuver without the usual frustrations you get with cheaper scopes. The dual lens and 7 LED lights really set this model apart. The image quality on the 4.3” screen is surprisingly sharp for a device in this price range. The second lens makes side views a breeze, so you don’t have to keep twisting the cable constantly. I tested it on some ducting and a tight crawlspace area, and it performed exactly as advertised. The built-in screen is bright and visible even in lower light conditions, so no need to fuss with connecting to a phone.I also appreciated that it came with a 32GB card included, which saves an extra purchase and lets you capture video/photos right away.Pros:• Clear 1080p image quality• Dual lens is very handy for side views• Long, durable cable• Simple controls, easy learning curve• Waterproof—tested it and no issues so farCons:• Slightly bulky cable if you’re working in very tight spaces, but nothing unmanageableOverall, if you’re looking for a dependable borescope for DIY, automotive, or light industrial work, this one’s a great buy. Very pleased with it so far.

Review: Overall worked really well. The side camera is quite handy and I’m glad I purchased it. It’s only used on the odd occasion.A few issues.- if you don’t have the screen on the right angle it’s difficult to see the screen. It’s not like your phone screen for example where you can place is anywhere and still see the screen fine.- The cable is permanently fixed into the screen, it makes it awkward for storing etc. a little thing but would go a long way.- The buttons are not intuitive, it’s tricky to know how to move from one camera to another.Overall worked for what I needed and I think good value for money. You’ll praise yourself when you need it and it’s sat in the workbench.
