Title: Extremely helpful with image examples and info on error coins. Excellent reference book.
Review: So helpful. I’m new to coin collecting and this book is EXACTLY what I needed. The picture examples of errors along with explanations is more helpful than websites, videos and other books. I was spending so much time looking for examples and just truthful information. This book is it! You won’t regret it. And it is a solid reference book.

Title: Great book for coin roll hunters.
Review: This is a great book. It’s come in handy so much already while roll hunting. My only issue with it is that it doesn’t list any info for older coins like wheat pennies and such. It would be 5 stars if it did have that info.

Title: Great Book on Coins for the Novice Coin Collector
Review: I’m glad I bought this book. It has helped me learn about coin collecting and for some of the easier to spot modern coins, post-silver/1964, to look for in my change. Worth buying. Wish I had known about coins and this book before, and how much some are worth in comparison to their face value.

Title: It’s in the title…”Pocket Change.”
Review: As a new (what I call myself), “Armchair coin collector” I am loading up on coin guides. I recently got the ‘Strike It Rich with Pocket Change, 5’th edition’ guide. I also bought all three volumes of the ‘CherryPickers’ 6’th edition’ guides. As others have mentioned, it seems the Strike it Rich guide has some gaps. For example, the Lincoln cent information begins at 1959 and stops at 2020. The first Lincoln cent was minted in 1909 so where are the first 50 years? Dawned on me that the title includes “Pocket Change.” How many people have a 1909 or a 1955 in their pockets or change jar?On the plus side, what information is provided in this guide is good. For example I have probably passed over quite a few 1968-D quarters because while the Cherrypickers’ guide shows one picture of 1968-D coin it doesn’t show the error I found as well as I see in Strike it Rich. The latter images are, I feel, better pictures. The 1968-D DDR I recently found in a roll was exactly as shown in the Strike it Rich guide. As a new coin collector I would recommend both the ‘Strike it Rich’, and the three volumes of the ‘Cherrypickers’ ‘ guides. However a ton of information online. I have filled in the gaps from the guide books with information gleaned from the internet. Good hunting!
