Title: Good set for the money.
Review: This is a nice set for the money. The No5 with 3.5” king goes great with my board which has 2” squares. The pieces seem well crafted. There are a couple of spots, such as in the horse nostrils, and slit on top of the bishop where there were some rough edges with little bits of wood hanging on. I took a file and smoothed them out because I’m anal about things like that. My biggest complaint is that whatever they weight them with sticks out beyond the bottom on some pieces, causing them not to sit flat. One of the rooks is obviously tilted to one side and wobbles anytime it’s moved or bumped. This is annoying enough that I’m planning to grind them flush and re-felt the affected pieces. The box is nice enough. It’s just plain wood, I plan to give it a coat of semi-gloss varnish so it better matches my table, board, and pieces. It also doesn’t not some with felt on the bottom so you’ll need to add some as to not scratch your tabletop. At this price point, I wasn’t expecting luxury quality, I’m happy enough with this set.

Review: Honestly I was looking at this set for awhile…even before I bought it on sale. I read some of the other reviews on here beforehand and was kinda hesitant at first. Some reviews say it’s great and others say their pieces turned out horribly crooked or don’t sit flat. I will say as for my experience my pieces turned out great…the sit flat and they’re not horrible quality. Sure some pieces have a lil excess glue from the felt or the gloss coat on the wood was a tad over sprayed in some areas but overall these pieces are solid and attractive in my experience. I got these pieces shipped to my door for 28$ after taxes! for that price this unbelievable quality…though I imagine their QC is not the best so you’re kinda rolling the dice on whether you’ll get a decently made one that lays flat and such. Guess I got lucky on my first go considering some of the negative reviews on here. Got a 20×20 wooden board and they sit so nice on it!!

Review: I agonized over what chess pieces to buy. I wanted quality, detail, and a sturdy weight for a price that wasn’t over the top. Didn’t think I could get all four.The final determining factor for me was when I zoomed in on the pictures, the knights (horses) seemed to have more detail than some other chess sets around the same price, or even ample of them priced higher. Admittedly there were some priced significantly higher that had more detail and looked prettier. But not being a chess champion (and from the looks of it not likely to ever be one barring a magic light shining in my window one night and leaving a gift), I didn’t want to spend that kind of money.After ordering, I felt I made the right choice. But until they arrived, I was worried about the weight. It turned out my worries were needless. My husband and I have played numerous games with them and the weight is fine — they feel plenty sturdy.Even my husband admits I made a good purchase, well as long as I’m not beating him, ha!You never know until something arrives, if it’s all it says it is. But these pieces did not disappoint. As for the box, it looks good. I admit, though, I haven’t really tested it out; as I leave the pieces set up and out, ready for the next chance to triumph over my husband. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always work out so well. But sometimes it does! And who knows that magic light in the window thing could yet happen.

Title: Excellent quality
Review: I love this chess set. I tried finding one to go with my chess table and this fits perfectly! My table’s squares are 2” for reference and these pieces fill it nicely. All the other sets I got had very poor quality, bad aesthetic, and didn’t fit well. This one has beautiful proportions and deep color contrast to match a tan and black wooden board. The quality, size, finish, scale, and color all complement each to make the pieces feel complete. Having a 2nd queen also makes it feel professional. The box is also lovely and brings the whole set together – I did wind up adding some sticky-back fabric to the bottom so it doesn’t scratch the table though. All together I highly recommend it!

Review: Les pièces sont tout à fait correctes pour le prix ! Lestées et bien sculptées. Belle taille N°6 pour un plateau dont chaque case fait entre 50 et 55mm.L’échiquier sur les photos est fait maison.Petit bémol pour la boîte qui d’une part est trop petite pour cette taille de pièces (impossible de les ranger rapidement même si on y arrive) et d’autre part est plutôt “plus que basique”. Mais bon, une belle boîte coûte entre 30 et 50€. Donc tout est ok
