Title: False advertising, doesn’t work as implied, shady business practices
Review: Pros:Netflix, YT seem to work decently, expected amounts of lag.Android Auto connection seems stable.Doesn’t overheat too badly, it’s as expected for a device this small running streaming services.Cons:Description implies you can quickly and easily switch between connecting the device to your phones hotspot, or connecting your phone to the device’s hotspot. And it outright even says you can do both simultaneously via different wifi frequencies. This is simply untrue. It’s not quick, it’s not easy, it’s not painless. Don’t expect to do it while driving for sure!The default navigation layout for the device is clunky and in the way. Good luck pressing anything on the sides of the screen if your navigation menu is in the way. It is changeable to an ugly pop-up menu, highly recommended.During initial setup you will sometimes get large blocks of Chinese characters thrown into your face with two options, then a button to click at the bottom. If you can’t read whatever hieroglyphics are displayed then I hope you’re okay just selecting one of the options and hoping it’s the right one, and never knowing what you potentially agreed to.Screen mirroring simply doesn’t exist. I tried a multitude of different third party apps and none of them were successful.Doesn’t seem to have split-screen like some of the other companies advertise.Look at the reviews for this item(more than mine). You’ll find tons of people talking about a USB-hub for their PC. That’s because this store chose to use shady business practices and changed the item and description from a USB-hub to this(current) CarPlay and AA Adapter so that they could keep all their (likely botted/bought) reviews and sales. Don’t support this BS.I wish I had looked further into this item before purchasing. I intend to try and return this item for a full refund.

Title: Didn’t work on my 2021 Toyota corolla se
Review: So I got this “P o ‘S” gadget after reading the reviews, and to my disappointment, it didn’t work at all. I believed it to be an easy plug & play as described by the seller and the reviews, and that it was compatible with Android Auto I have installed in my 2021 Toyota Corolla SE. I followed the instructions on the the manual, and had the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on, plugged in the cable, checked the power was on, etc. The gadget name appeared on my phone screen but I got a message “couldn’t connect” repeatedly. It kept on searching for an I-pod. My phone is a Samsung with Android 15 installed not an iPhone. I insisted for an hour, then I gave up and returned the item.

Review: I was pleasantly surprised with this item as it has everything that you’ll need for mounting it. Included with the 4 port USB 3 hub is a double sided Velco sticky pad that has been cut to the same size as the USB hub, also there are 4 screws that wllow of the item to be screwed to a desk for a more permanent mounting. The hub is the usual and expected plastic hosing but it does the job well enough and it does run at USB 3 speeds. The cable supplied is aroung 1Mtr (3ft) long and ends in a USB A connector. The only disappointment about this is that there is no option to augmen the power of this with an external adaptor, so if you have power hungry devices you want to plug in you might quickly hit the power limit.

Review: I am impressed with this USB hub.The hub itself has four USB 3 ports and a USB A cable to connect to your computer on a 1 meter cable.The hub works well, is fairly compact and is lightweight so it is easy to set up and tear down when needed. The real strength of this unit is that it is designed to be mounted on a wall, cupboard or shelf. The unit comes with screws to attach it to a shelf, desk or inside of a cupboard, and also comes with a Velcro pad as an alternative way to mount it. I attached mine to the back of my desk, which makes it easier to connect my keyboard, mouse and webcam to my PC base unit.Overall, this is a great way of extending your connectivity for your computers, but is also a great way of making your desk more organised because it is easily attached to a wall, shelf or desk.
