Title: Worth your time? Yes. A great book? NO
Review: I just read this book. As a guy who watched Tiger win every event live on TV and followed Tiger carefully since the US Amateur wins in the 90s, I wanted to read this book to see if I could learn anything about Tiger. I learned a little, not enough. Is it worth your time? If you love golf and want some anecdotes about Tiger, yes. What is wrong with the book? 3 things:1) Steve Williams makes himself out to be super caddy. Never ever made a mistake in all of the years he caddied for Tiger. Maybe it is true but I do not believe it.2) The facts and figures which he presents about Tiger’s stats are done so in a boring way, not a way that really helps the reader understand.3) You were as close to Tiger as any human being could be. And you never suspected he had dozens of girlfriends and was cheating on his wife. Never? Again, it is possible. Likely? I say no but I was not there.I thought Hank Haney’s book was mean spirited. I thought other golf books were poorly written. I thought this one could have been better.There is a great golf book out there about the golfers who we watch every weekend. I have not found it yet but will keep looking. Worth your time? Sure because it is a quick and easy read. And I did learn that Tiger loves to wash his car.

Review: This book is phenomenal. Firstly, to hear what it was like to be alongside Tiger for so many years for the highs and lows of 12 years in amazing. The level of detail, research, interviews from both Steve and Evin is unreal. The book is so beautifully written, that after every chapter you’re torn between taking a moment to absorb what you’ve just read, and diving into the next chapter to find out more.There are so many new pieces of information in this book and it’s so refreshing to hear both the on-course and off-course revelations. I’ve already bought copies for my family because this truely is a MUST READ. Even if you are r a massive golf fan, this book has something for everyone.
