Title: Excellent Cost to Value Ratio
Review: I have been using Red Tiger F9 in my Honda Ridgeline for one year, it has functioned flawlessly. I purchased the rear camera also. I am very mechanically inclined, so installation was easy for me. I put one in my daughter’s car. My wife just got a new (used) car, and I am buying one for her. Having a dash cam with a screen that shows you what you are already seeing out the windshield or review mirror seemed silly to me, and I would think that would also be distracting (and depending on which state you live in, dash cams with video screens may be illegal). This little unit installed behind my rearview and is barely noticeable. Never had a problem connecting it to my phone. I very much like that it loop records, it has a button that you can easily press to lock the video, if you get into an accident the G sensor automatically locks the video (locking the video means it keeps it in memory and will not overwrite it during loop recording). Make sure you set it to 3- or 5-minute recording (not 1 minute), so it has some video before and after it locks. The G sensor is fairly sensitive. I had it set on “high” and it was locking video when I drove over rough road. I set it on medium and it works fine. It will record audio also, but I keep that off. The more expensive units have voice control, but I am thinking who is going to think to say anything to the dash cam during an accident. Again, it has a button on the driver’s side that you can press if something funky is going on (other than an accident) and you want it to lock video. It has a pleasant small tone when it powers up when you start the car and when you turn the car off. It also tells you in a pleasant voice “Video On”, Video Locked”, Video Unlocked”.One thing to mention…if you have wireless CarPlay you must disconnect CarPlay before you can connect to this Red Tiger to view the videos (just while viewing the video, its records to its SD Card any time the car is turned on). Think about it, how often are you going to review your dash cam video?…after an accident, when you see something cool while driving, when you witness something illegal, etc. Not very often, but it provides excellent peace of mind. All in all, I can highly recommend the Red Tiger F9.

Title: Beginner approved!
Review: I am extremely happy with this. I’ve seen plenty of accidents around town and this is extra insurance against dumb drivers in case of any unfortunate events. The video and audio is above average in quality. The only down side is that the cable is so long I have about 5 feet extra wound up hanging from an out of the way spot above the rear windshield. The feature where it records over the oldest clips if the SD card is full is nice too. You don’t have to worry about managing the SD card unless you save a lot of videos. It’s user friendly. The camera has to be plugged in to access the unsaved videos which is a small inconvenience. Worth the price and recommended!

Title: Crystal-clear Footage but Insufficient Storage and Sluggish Performance
Review: I’ve had this camera since November, and honestly, for the price, it’s a win. The picture quality is chef’s kiss—clear enough to read license plates and even spot the expression on the face of the guy tailgating you. If you’re looking for solid video detail, this thing delivers.Installation? Not terrible, but don’t expect a five-minute job. I used a hardwire kit to avoid that spaghetti-dangling-from-the-windshield look, and while it worked, I still ended up with more cable than I knew what to do with. That said, the rear cam wire was spot-on for my 2011 Accord Coupe—small victories.Pro tip: use the electrostatic stickers they give you. I didn’t, but luckily everything’s still stuck where it should be. For now.The included memory card is a joke if you actually drive—like, more than to the end of the street and back. I average 50–60 miles a day, and the thing filled up faster than my email inbox on a Monday. Do yourself a favor and get a bigger card. The app is refreshingly simple (a miracle these days), and I love that it tags speed, GPS, and location on the video. Just don’t expect lightning-fast downloads—WiFi connection is sluggish, especially on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Once you’re in, it works fine, but patience is key.All in all, I’m really happy with this dashcam. It does its job, brings peace of mind, and worked well enough that I bought a second one for my wife’s Tucson.

Title: Impressed
Review: It took roughly 20 minutes to install including both cables tucked into the plastic and headliner. Camera works as described. The front camera is much better resolution than the rear. Sync’s perfectly with my android phone, can see video front and rear on phone, take separate videos and photos with phone, pretty cool. Nothing to complain about really. I ordered extra stick on cable ties for the rear window because it’s a hatch and I’m certain the included small stick on ties won’t cut it. Much better camera than the previous camera I had for 10 years and cheaper.

Title: disappointing. worked for about a week.
Review: i got both the front and the rear camera up with minimal fuss. the included cables were long enough to reach without issue. it was a little fiddly getting the cables tucked under the edge of the upholstery, but i managed. and the app is a little clunky, but i got it working — it’s just not quite as seamless. or intuitive as one might prefer. figuring out how to use the app appears to be necessary in order to access recorded footage, and it’s not immediately obvious how to make use of that. so unless you’re a better app wizard than i am, you’re going to be walking around with question marks above your head, just like in the memes.once i got it all put in place and connected (took an hour or so of concentration/effort), it did work. for about a week.now, all that happens is it restarts itself about once a minute or so… loudly announced by a melodic chime that i will be very happy never to hear again.it was a confusing and somewhat frustrating experience setting it up and getting it paired and functional with the app. to deal with that and then have it break for no apparent reason in so short a time… don’t buy this unless you’re just a masochist.
