Title: Near pro-level video tripod
Review: This is a near pro-level video tripod, at a real amateur hobbyist price. I’m very happy with it overall. It can extend way over my head and I’m 6’1″. All the parts you’d want to be metal are metal. The red anodization on some of the parts is cool. Everything feels solid and locks down tight. The only reason I knocked off a single star is that the tripod barely fits in the padded carrying case they give you and you can feel and see massive tension on the zipper when it’s zipped up, so I don’t know how long the case will last.

Title: Professional tripod great for smooth panning
Review: This is a legitimate, professional-grade camera tripod! I got this mainly because I wanted a tripod that provided smooth panning for my videos, and man…this feels WAY better than the basic tripod I used before. In fact, it feels a bit ridiculous setting up this kind of tripod for my cell phone or my basic point-and-shoot camera. This tripod would especially be suited for heavier, professional-style cameras. With the quality being high, I expect this will last the rest of my life.The tripod comes with its own carrying bag, which is very helpful and what you’d expect from such a high-quality product. However, the bag is not a hard-shelled case…it’s just a somewhat-rigid bag.The tripod itself, though, is quite a bit bigger than my basic tripod, so it takes up more space. I’ve included photos with the tripod at its shortest and at its biggest alongside a standard door frame to give you an idea of just how big it is. At its peak, it can reach up to 6’5” (198 cm)!As advertised, the head provides very smooth motion, which is the biggest reason why I got it. This tripod would be great for filming sporting events where action goes back-and-forth, or more professional-looking videos that require smooth movement.The camera mount has various fittings, which will help ensure it will fit all your cameras, just like it did for me.Another super helpful feature of this tripod is that each leg is able to raised/lowered with one switch on each leg. That means setting up the tripod and/or adjusting the height is a very quick process, unlike on a standard tripod where you have to adjust three switches on each leg.The base of each leg has a shoe that adjusts to the level of the ground, unlike basic tripods which usually cannot.The main downsides, in my opinion, of this tripod include:- the size: length-wise, it takes up a lot of space, and weight-wise, it’s not going to be as easy to carry around like a basic tripod- the camera mount requires an Allen wrench (which is included) in order to secure the camera to the mount.- I’ve had difficulty getting the tripod to fit in the carrying case…it’s a tight fit that will eventually result in the zipper malfunctioning, I’m sure.But overall, I’m very impressed with this tripod and will be glad to use it whenever I want my videos to have smooth panning/motion.

Title: Very convenient for quick setup
Review: The quick release function makes this tripod very convenient for a quick setup. Each leg has one latch that controls the whole length of the leg. Once you have your height set, you just have to level out the head and you’re good to go.The fluid head is very nicely made for the price point. It’s not as good as expensive ones, but I do think for about 70% of users it has enough quality to work perfectly. The other 30% are those who whip their cameras back and forth a lot (think news and sports photographers) because this isn’t very smooth once you get into fast motion.In terms of durability, I think this is made to last. Yes, if you’re rough on it the plastic knobs could break. If you go leaning on it fully extended, the legs could bend. With common sense while using it this shouldn’t be an issue.The only part I think may give out fairly soon is the bag’s zipper. It’s just not up to par with the rest of the tripod kit’s quality. So if you’re the type that carries their tripod over their shoulder in the bag, keep an eye on it for any tears or strain on the zipper pull.It’s a little heavy, but that goes back into it being durable. You have to have a little heft in order to support your rig. For this price, this tripod is a steal.

Title: Amazing heavy duty tripod stand for your camera!
Review: This may just help out a dream of mine that I have wanted to do for years and that is become a YouTube influencer. I’ve got the gift of gab, I’m not afraid to put myself out there in front of people, but I’ve always just never had the equipment or the understanding of the equipment to be able to do this. Tripod is one of the bricks that I will need to build this foundation, it is a very tall tripod which I love because you can take video of it shooting down at an angle just as well as level. It is also very sturdy and when your video camera is on this tripod there is no moving at all it will not even flinch even if you are jumping around right next to it which yes I did do that intentionally to see . I will say after you pull it out of the bag good luck getting it back in, but that seems to be everything out there these days they want to pack things so tight you can get it in once but you can never get it in twice so I have a different bag that I’ve been I need to put it back.

Für mich steht beim Stativ vor allem Stabilität in dynamischen Umgebungen an erster Stelle – sei es bei Wind, auf unebenem Boden oder wenn Menschen drumherum herumlaufen. In meinem Workflow zählt jede Sekunde, gerade wenn ich zwischen verschiedenen Setups wechsle oder mit mehreren Kameras arbeite – was heisst das genau:—> Die One-Knob-Beinverstellung ist ein Gamechanger. Ein Hebel pro Bein spart enorm viel Zeit und ich bin ehrlich:
Ich möchte nie wieder zu einem klassischen 3-Klemmen-Stativ zurück.—> Mit einer max. Höhe von 2 Metern ist dieses Stativ perfekt, um über Menschenmengen hinweg zu filmen oder ungewöhnliche Perspektiven zu realisieren, z. B. Top-Down mit zusätzlichem Galgenarm.—> Im zusammengeklappten Zustand bleibt es mit ca. 90 cm Länge und der mitgelieferten Tasche trotzdem noch tragbar, z. B. quer über der Schulter.
🎬 Fluidkopf & Motion ControlDer eigentlich recht rudimentäre Fluidkopf ist für mich schon fast der eigentliche Star dieses Systems:
—> Horizontale Schwenks laufen seidenweich, perfekt für saubere Kamerafahrten oder subtile Bewegungen bei Interviews.—> Vertikal lässt sich der Kopf von -70° bis +90° neigen – perfekt für B-Rolls, z. B. Produkt-Shots von oben oder detailreiche Produktaufnahmen.—> Die 70 mm Halbschale mit eingebauter Wasserwaage sorgt für schnelles Ausbalancieren (ich filme oft auf Events oder auf temporären Bühnen, da ist das Gold wert!)
🔄 Flexibilität mit Zubehör & PlattenAls Creator ist mir wichtig, dass ich mein vorhandenes Setup erweitern kann:—> Die große Quick Release Plate ist kompatibel mit fast allen meiner Kameras (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic), egal ob DSLR, spiegellos oder Camcorder.
—> 1/4″ und 3/8″ Schrauben auf der Platte sowie ein seitlicher 3/8″ Zubehöranschluss bieten Platz für Monitore, Mikrofonhalter oder Magic Arms. Gerade beim Solo-Drehen habe ich oft einen Monitor seitlich angebracht (perfekt für Selfshooting oder Interviews)
Kurzer Vergleich zu Smallrig (besitze ich auch!)
Wenn man das NEEWER LL38 mit dem SMALLRIG AD-01 vergleicht, fällt auf, dass sich beide in der gleichen Leistungsklasse für Videografen bewegen, aber mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten:Bauhöhe & Mobilität
– Das Neewer LL38 erreicht mit 200 cm etwas mehr Höhe als das SmallRig AD-01 mit 188 cm – was z. B. für Überkopf-Aufnahmen oder Menschenmengen nützlich ist.
– Dafür ist das SmallRig etwas kompakter und massiver gebaut (4 kg) und somit etwas robuster, aber weniger mobil.Kopf & Bewegung
- Beide nutzen hochwertige Fluidköpfe, wobei SmallRig mit +90°/-75° Neigung etwas mehr Spielraum bietet (Neewer: -70° bis +90°).
– Der Dual-Modus-Schnellwechselmechanismus beim AD-01 ist besonders praktisch für DJI-Gimbal-Nutzer, da er direkt mit RS4/RS3-kompatiblen Platten funktioniert – das ist ein klarer Vorteil für hybride Setups.Erweiterbarkeit & Handling
– SmallRig bietet mehr 1/4”-Gewindeanschlüsse direkt am Stativkörper (z. B. für Magic Arms), während Neewer die Erweiterung eher auf dem Kopf oder der Platte vorsieht.
– Beide kommen mit Tasche und einfacher Bedienung, aber das SmallRig punktet mit integrierter Werkzeugaufbewahrung direkt in der Platte – ein kleines, aber nützliches Detail.Zusammengefasst was beide Stative angeht
Das NEEWER LL38 bietet mehr Höhe, leichteres Handling und ist perfekt für den flexiblen Einsatz unterwegs. Das SMALLRIG AD-01 ist etwas kompakter, schwerer und punktet mit mehr Profi-Features für Studio-Setups oder Hybridnutzer mit DJI-Gimbals.
Wer auf maximale Kompatibilität und Stabilität Wert legt, greift zu SmallRig. Wer Mobilität, Höhe und Preis-Leistung sucht, ist mit dem Neewer bestens bedient.Fazit als VideografDas NEEWER LL38 ist kein reines Einsteigerstativ! Es ist tatsächlich ein ernstzunehmendes Werkzeug für ambitionierte und semi-professionelle Videografen, die Wert auf saubere Kamerabewegungen, schnelle Einrichtung und maximale Flexibilität legen.
Wie bereits weiter oben erwähnt, dih nutze es bei Imagefilmen, Interviews, Eventdokumentationen und B-Roll-Szenen, bei denen ich auf Stative mit absoluter Laufruhe angewiesen bin. Dass ich dafür kein High-End-System wie Manfrotto oder Sachtler mit vierstelligem Preisschild brauche, sondern mit Neewer eine solide Alternative habe, freut mich ehrlich gesagt sehr.Das Stativ ist für mich persönlich ein No-Brainer! Klare 5 von 5 Sternen! Durchdacht, stabil und absolut videopraxis-tauglich.
