Title: good but not the favorite
Review: This was a fun game. It was easy to learn, well made, and the cards are cute. However, while I get get my kids to play it, it isn’t their go to game.

Title: Fun and random
Review: We actually liked this game! Once I ingested the large instruction booklet, I found it to be simple and straightforward! I was easily able to instruct hubby on how to play it, without both of us reading the instructions. He was busy trying to shuffle the large deck all that time. I think it would be even more fun with a larger group, but it was good for two people, as well. There are up to 160 cards in play, but for two people this is only 40 cards used (at random). Since the deck starts with the 160, there is a random chance of having none of a certain card in use for the round (we had no squirrels in play!). We did have plenty of number cards, and a few wild/push/skip cards in play. The cards are nice. One round for two people took about 10 minutes or so, but we were not pushing it to go quickly.

Title: Complicated instructions
Review: This card game is adorable. I love the cards that it comes with, the designs are truly beautiful. I am a squirrel lover so this is a really fun looking game. The only issue is it is a bit complicated to play. There are a ton of very detailed instructions and it makes it super difficult to sit down and start playing because there are too many detailed instructions. I have to admit that I haven’t even played the game yet because the instructions are just a bit too complicated to figure out. These are the type of instructions that need to be figured out while actually playing the game step by step. I will update once I have delved in.

Title: Fun light card game, easy rules, more interesting that Uno but still some luck and a bit attacky
Review: We’ve played this at home with our family of 5 ( 2 adults, 3 teenagers). It was easy to teach and we got going quickly. Turns are pretty quick, although since you can sometimes play multiple cards it’s good to explicitly let the next player know when you’re done. There were some interesting decisions regarding when to play certain cards, whether to play from your hand vs piles, or I suppose whether to play or pick up cards although we didn’t do much of this. Overall, it was enjoyable and I’d happily play it again, but the overall family response was mixed. I think the biggest challenge is that your initial piles and hand could just be a lot better than someone else’s, which feels kind of crummy. Also, players will need to use their Skip and Push cards to target someone, generally trying to determine whoever is closest to going out. Since this is ambiguous, it’s common to end up targeting players who are not actually winning, just hurting them more. I’ve always disliked when games have players completely skip a turn – it makes sense as a way to catch up to a winning player, but it makes the game less fun for that player.Overall I would say this is good but didn’t click super well with us personally. If you love games like Uno and you don’t have an issue with a few attack-style cards (some people love this in games), then this might be a really fun fit for you. I love that it plays up to 8 players, and I appreciate that the rules are pretty intuitive once you get going.

Title: Fun for two
Review: Something a lot of games fail to get right is the ability to do two players well. This is not one of those games. I really like how it plays with just two people and still has a level of strategy to it.

Title: Instructions not super clear
Review: This was a fun, simple game but still not sure if we’re playing it correctly. The instructions seem translated poorly from another language. The cards are decent quality, though the numbered cards are a bit bland in design. The squirrel illustrations are nice, and are printed well. While simple, there are several issues not explained in the instructions, so can’t be sure if it’s being done the right way. Sort of like a game of Uno, you’re trying to get rid of all your cards, but it’s not clear when your turn is over.

Title: Fun squirrel theme game
Review: I enjoy playing this game with my husband. It works well for two players, but we could easily add more players, since the game works for up to eight. I like that it’s easy to learn and isn’t purely luck based. There’s plenty of room for strategy.I also tried the game with my 5yo daughter who enjoys games, but it didn’t really hold her attention for long. We played only one round before she was ready to move on and play one of her usual favorites. The squirrel theme is really cute. I especially enjoy the illustrations of the different squirrels of North America. The acorn art looks nice, although I think it would be even better if the art in the center of the cards represented the number on the cards the way standard playing cards do. It feels like a bit of a missed opportunity, where they could do more with the squirrel theme and make the cards more easily recognizable.
